    Potato puffs.

Glad I got to try this place that opened up a couple of months ago! It definitely an order to go location as there's only a couple of seats inside though they do have some patio tables lining the sides of the building. Service was pretty fast. It was lunch time and they were juggling preorders as well. Ordered the smoked salmon salad and potato puffs. I thought the packaging was very interesting as I think it's a first that I have eaten salad off wax paper inside a paper box. I'm not sure if it works as the dressing did leak into the box so it had to be composted instead of recycled. Salad was good. It looks small but that's because of the container. I thought there was a good amount of food in there. The potato puffs were slightly disappointing. The dipping sauce leaned on the saltier side but the potato puffs itself had no seasoning (no salt). The texture of the potato puffs was good as it was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Next time I come I think I'll try the bavette steak sandwich or salad as that seems to be highly ordered.

Once a bar, Record Factory, Jamba Juice and now Gregoire, a bright orange eatery near GGP offering Canadian French sandwiches, salads and drinks. You can order at a kiosk or counter. I purchased the lamb and feta on ciabatta and potato puffs. There was no line and I received my takeout within ten minutes. Place is clean and bright - service is friendly. At home, I shared the food w/ my daughter. I enjoyed the spice lamb sandwich but she thinks it's too salty (feta). We thought the potato puffs are quite bland but liked the sauce that came with them. Both of us were full afterwards.

I came here one weekend after walking around Golden Gate Park. Tried the fried chicken sandwich, leg of lamb sandwich, mushroom and garlic quiche with salad and their potato puffs. Potato puffs are what they are known for. Note: There is definitely limited seating here. For the food - Fried chicken sandwich is a fried chicken filet with a spicy coleslaw on a french roll. The fried chicken unfortunately was not crispy when I got it, it was also a bit dry and not that spicy. It was okay overall. Leg of lamb sandwich - It had some thinly sliced pieces of lamb, with roasted garlic, marinated tomato and a waffle potato chip on a grilled ciabatta. This was probably my favorite item of what was ordered. Mushroom and garlic quiche w/ salad - it was fine, I wish the crust was crispy but other than that nothing too special. Potato puff - I wish it was more crispy, it tasted like mashed potatoes a bit. The sauce was okay as well. Overall, if everything was a bit crispier, this would have been a great meal.

Was excited about trying this new spot in the sunset, a branch off of a famous Berkeley joint. It's bright and clean, with a handful of stools at the window. I see it doing well with folks picking up a lunch as I did coming from work, a quick afternoon potato puff pick-me-up, or an easy picnic in the park. Fried chicken sandwich - good fry, enjoyed the slaw, but little bland and ratios were off so it's a LOT of bread (the roll's pretty dense too) on top of breading on the chicken. Would recommend getting this as salad or just skipping. Bavette steak sandwich was similarly too much bread but better since ciabatta is thinner, though bottom was soggy. Enjoyed the steak, arugula, blue cheese spread, though onions were surprisingly cold. Would reattempt this and ask for ciabatta grilled, and try the lamb. The potato puffs were a little denser than I thought they'd be, very filling, but with a lovely light crust. Seems their aioli flavor rotates, today was like Tabasco so wasn't my fave.

I stopped by Gregoire with a couple of friends and I tried their famous potato puffs. We waited around 15 minutes before our order came out. There isn't a huge number of puffs pere order, but each one is clearly made fresh! They're crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside, and high quality. I loved the sauce, which went well together with the puffs. My friends and I were not hungry enough to try their sandwiches this time, but we will definitely be back to explore more of their menu!

San Francisco has almost any kind of cuisine from any country around the world and it's rare to not find something on a menu somewhere in the city. One thing San Francisco doesn't have is a dedicated Canadian restaurant. It seems there is almost any type of cuisine from any country and region from around the world at San Francisco restaurants. The USA's neighbor to the north cuisine dishes are not centralized under one restaurant and so you have to hunt for some Canadian dishes at different restaurants. There is one place which serves one of my favorite Canadian dishes which is poutine. On a Winter stroll in the Sunset Strip of San Francisco their is a place which used to serve purple colored Jamba Juice now serves their popular hot potatoes at Grégoire . This place serves sandwiches and wraps but the hot item on their menu is the hot potato also known as the potato puff. I was here for the poutine. I get excited over poutine because French fries , gravy, and cheese curds are my jam. The savory delicious gravy compliments the crunchy fresh fries and the cheese curds. Although the cheese curd has some cheese pull it was not as cheesy as some in SF. Overall a must try for Canadian poutine lovers. There is a place which around the block from they sell fried chicken sandwiches so you can show them the " The Bird" a new store open on the corner of 9th Ave and a new thing just "occurred" and I got the "word"they sell my favorite Canadian dish with fries, gravy, and "cheese curd" Although the Canadian dollars are colored in brown , purple , red , blue and some in "green"but this place accepts only US dollars and has my favorite gravy fries with cheese curds called" poutine "which is different from regular French fries with ketchup same "routine"a great new addition of a Canadian dish to the San Francisco food "scene"

Came by recently with my husband to try this new French-inspired takeout place in the Sunset. Small menu. We got the: *potato puffs - their famous fried crispy potato puffs. Crispy outside, soft inside. Tasty! Honestly tasted like fried mash potatoes. *Bavette Steak Sandwich - Meh. I enjoyed the arugula. The beef is tough. *Fried Chicken Sandwich - delicious! Love the crispy chicken sandwich. Will get again. *banana nut bread pudding - Comes with a caramel dipping sauce but honestly you don't need it. Too sweet. Takeout counter with a few outdoor tables. Friendly and efficient service. Located on 9th Ave and Irving.

Was recommended this spot by a friend who enjoyed the potato puffs at Gregoire's Berkeley location! We ordered online for pickup on a Friday afternoon, and there was some seating outside (2-seater tables) that were open but we ate at the park since it's quite busy on the street. Pick-up was quick although street parking isn't the easiest, but there is a lot next door. We ordered the potato puffs, bavette steak sandwich, leg of lamb sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, poutine, and meyer lemon tart for dessert. Potato puffs were my favorite - fluffy, light, and freshly fried. They're like fried mashed potato balls. Sandwiches were quite small for the price but were flavorful. The fried chicken sandwich was my favorite one - it had a nice spicy coleslaw & the meat was juicy, but was messy to eat. The lamb was good, not too much meat but was nice with the tomato, waffle potato, and garlic flavor. If you like blue cheese, you'll like the bavette steak sandwich. Poutine was good, had a flavorful gravy topped with cheese curds, but just not my favorite texture. Was nice to try!

I visited the original location in Berkeley several years ago, and I remember really enjoying the potato puffs. I was excited to see a location open up closer to me! I got the crispy potato puffs with garlic and parsley and they were quite tasty--piping hot, a nice crisp on the outside, and a warm and gooey potato mash on the inside. The garlic and parsley flavors also came through well without being too overpowering. Not sure if my memory of my Berkeley visit is serving me, but I thought the puffs used to be bigger. Still yummy either way! Service was friendly, and you have to wait a bit for your food. I'm not sure whether this is because they are still working out some kinks, but overall I would return if I'm in the area.

New place that opened up inner sunset. Have heard a lot about the Berkeley location so decided to check it out. The potato puffs with truffle sauce reminded me of an european falafel, iykyk. Also tried the Bavette sandwich which was good. The steak was cooked well. The ciabetta bread was fresh and not hard crusted. The blue cheese and carmelized onions was nice balance of flavors, coming from someone who detests blue cheese normally. Overall, glad I tried it. Hope they expand their menu.

Tried the garlic and parsley potato balls. Very nice warm snack on a chilly day. These are like little mashed potato balls? I haven't tried the original but I liked the flavor we got. Would come back to try their sandwiches!

Great texture, slightly spicy, really solid pimento cheese. A cup was enough to make 3-4 sandwiches at home. Great staple to have for a quick lunch at home. Egg salad, I got the pint ($16), this was really solid too, although I added some additional salt and pepper to taste. The pint is great for family, easily can make 5-6 sandwiches with the amount of a pint. Honestly a cup order would've been good for me.
