These reviews are crazy (this isn't the old Lupos this is Maranos) this is one of the best local Italian restaurants on the north shore. I've had many take outs here and have yet to be disappointed. This place is a 5 star establishment across the board. I'm visiting from Arizona, where I'm used to a strong food scene, and this spot absolutely holds its own. I don't typically leave food reviews, but this place deserves the recognition. I've been coming here daily during my stay and trying something new each time. The food is consistently excellent and very reasonably priced. The Italian sub is a standout, I've had it multiple times. The pizza and pastas are also top tier, made with fresh ingredients and great flavor. The da sangy, chicken parm, and meatballs are electric!! What truly sets this place apart is the atmosphere, it's a family run business, with the father, mother, daughter, and son all actively involved. You can feel the care in everything they do. Being long time patrons of Lupos, 10 plus years, tonight is the night last night I will ever order food from them, and that is very unfortunate. After ordering two pizzas, that we have ordered several times before, they arrived with the toppings and cheese in the corner of the box. Questioning, we called and they offered to deliver two new pizzas, which we graciously accepted because we understand things happen. However, when the second set of pizzas arrived, approximately 30 minutes later, the same outcome arose. We chatted with the delivery driver, who was very pleasant, apologetic, and called Lupos's to state what happened again. The response from the person he called was unacceptable and unprofessional. The person contacted said, the pizzas we ordered are "loose pizzas" due to one being an Alfredo, and that if "we wanted we can pick them up ourselves and see what happens". Needless to say, after 10 years of ordering pizzas for Pats and Bruins games, including said pizza from this post, we will no longer be giving Lupo's our business. The food is delicious but the service sucks. I finally found a great Italian place to order from when I'm at work .. They said they deliver anywhere within 3 miles. My store is 2.9 miles away. They delivered once so a week later I called to place a lengthy order again and they wouldn't deliver. So whomever this manager is should tell the employees not to say they deliver 3 miles out if u actually DONT plan on honoring that. The guy on the phone told me my store is actually 5.5 miles away but it is not(down below) and he said " the driver said it took too long so we won't be delivering to u" TERRRRIBLE service , he was going to get a good tip since I had a larger order to place but whatever. Under new management and it seems to be good so far! We ordered Lupos twice and both times were tasty. Their cheese pizza was right up my alley, a good amount of sauce to cheese ratio, nice and hot. Their buffalo fingers were nice and spicy, options of ranch or blue cheese were available (we took both). Their French fries? Nice and crispy. The other day we had a big family lunch, so we ordered a panini, a wrap, a sub, and a club sandwich. All were good, made to our specifications and the timing of the order was spot on. I have been ordering catering since they opened their doors in 2021! Their food is excellent and the customer service is outstanding! Just ordered for Easter and the owner Yati called me to ask if I wanted to add their homemade cannolis to the order.... needless to say those did not make it home to my family! When they first took over from the former owners, they came in like a house on fire. The menu and food was superlative. The prices were reasonable and service was good. But, week after week the quality and portion sizes seemed to reduce while the prices rose. We decided to give them a rest from our weekly rotation. A few months went by we tried them again. Three subs for $45 was the straw that broke the camel's back. More expensive and skimpier than ever. That's the end for us. read more

Deserves 0 stars but I need 1 to post a review. I ordered a small cheese pizza and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. A little longer than I expected, but te must be busy on a Friday evening. I arrived to pick it up 30 minutes later, paid and was told it would be just a minute. Just a minute turned out to be15 minutes. I told the woman working the register that based on the time it was not even in the oven when I arrived. I was told they were busy, which they were. By far the worst experience I've ever had in my life at a food establishment! Ordered a chicken parm dinner with ziti and a fried fish dinner with rice and broccoli. The chicken parm had 3 chicken patties and about 1lb of ziti with burnt sauce . Awful! My fish dinner came with 2 small pieces of Extraordinarily well done fish that was beyond dried out and no rice and broccoli. I called once I got home, put on hold for 5 mins to talk to a young girl to only be put on hold again because I asked about my rice and broccoli. I headed back to grab the veggies, low and behold they didn't even make it to begin with. Excellent food. Excellent service. This has been my go to spot since they opened in the early 2000's. It's a husband and wife team and everything has that homemade style to it. I'm a big fan of their veggie paninis but I've tried most of the menu and the quality has been consistently high. I'll usually go in but when I have food delivered the delivery guys are always wicked friendly and the wait is not typically very long unless you're calling during real peak hours. read more

I got the Da Sangy sandwich and a Margherita pizza. I'm really impressed - I wouldn't think the little food shop on the strip mall would have such good food. Great food here. Pizza is great and thier other food especially thier specials are fantastic. I go here all the time, have for over 5 years. It's a family run kinda place, and some of the family seem like they need a good smile now and then , because it's not the best service with a smile, but the food overcomes that. It gets better in the summer when they hire friendlies for the register. The food is good enough to ignore the fact that you can complete and entire transaction and never hear a single word from the clerk, but so it goes. Funny because the cooks are all smiles ! They made my pizza wrong and required I RETURN the pizza THEY made incorrectly. We have eaten and been going and recommending everyone to Lupos for manny many years. Loretta, her hubby and crew ran that place the best. They will be sorely missed. I do realize they needed to retire and someone else has taken over. We have ordered 3 separate times and every-time its been wrong. And not just forgetting a dressing for a sub that you would have to drive all the way back down there to get one, but when you ask to not put something on food twice, when you have someone that is very allergic is not good.
