Corned Beef Hash with Eggs Over Easy...
    Evan W.

Another great breakfast at Greystoke. Owner & cook, Manuel, keeps things running smoothly, and offers up a nice selection of homemade daily specials. There's always something really savory and tasty going on in this cozy, old-style place that you can call a Coffee Shop or a Luncheonette or a Diner. However you slice it, you'll get a good meal at a fair price with friendly service from an attentive staff. Today's breakfast: Corned Beef Hash with Eggs Over Easy, Cottage Cheese and an English Muffin. Standard fare? Sure! But perfectly executed -- hash was fresh and flavorful, eggs cooked perfectly, and it came steaming hot. Go. Eat. Enjoy!!

OMG! Anyone remember Kaplan's Deli in Northridge from years ago? It was where REI is on Devonshire and Reseda. Anyways, my sister got the French dip and she said it reminded her of the one she used to get at Kaplan's. She loved it. I got the cheeseburger and fries with a side of ranch. The ranch was bomb and I swear it tasted just like the one I used to love at Kaplan's also! I asked if any of the cooks used to work there but they all said no. I will definitely be back to try other things. The service was awesome!

Ordered the cheeseburger combo for pick up and I can't say it was my favorite. Seemed like it was a frozen patty and there wasn't much cheese on the burger. I got with onion rings and fries. The onion rings were great but fries weren't that good. The service was great though. The woman who took my order was very nice and when I came in my order was ready. As far as the restaurant itself, has an old school diner vibe.

Just like grandma used to make it! Stumbled on to this spot for lunch, and we were glad we did. This spot reminds me of grandma's house, the decor is retro, it's comfortable, and has all old fashion dishes. The menu has everything from burgers to breakfast. I had the corned beef, it was tender and a hearty sandwich. The matzoh ball soup was hot, made from fresh ingredients, and a huge matzoh ball. The best part was our server named Yomara. She was so friendly, enthusiastic, and cheerful. She went out of her way to make us feel at home. The service was impeccable. To the owner, Yomara worked really hard to tell us how we can save time by ordering ahead, promoting your delivery service, and giving us extra menus so we can give them to our coworkers. She deserves to be recognized for going above and beyond.

A little gem named after the Tarzan author. It hidden in the corner of a strip mall very near Reseda and Ventura in Tarzana. I ordered a very filling three egg and corn beef hash with hash browns and toast. The deco is eights but it's really clean. Manny was our server. Very nice and helpful. My table mate ordered the same except the eggs were poached. Very filling. Parking is free. Try this place.

Located in the Encino Town Center, I am so happy that my daughter recommended this restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is large, with numerous well-stocked tables and many more tables located outside for patio dining. There also appeared to be a mid-sized banquet room off to one side, behind closed doors, which several guests were exiting to use the restrooms. The entire staff was very friendly, hard-working, and attentive to each of their assigned tables. The specialty here is the waffles; however, their menu is HUGE!!! It offers guests a variety of other food options, including pancakes, salads, omelets, crepes, and more. My family and I ordered Nutella crepes, peach waffles, frittata, and seasoned potatoes. Each item was DELICIOUS, fresh, and well prepared. We plan to return here soon to try other great-sounding options on the menu. This was a very positive dining experience.

I had an appointment in the neighborhood, so we decided to stop by afterward. From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted right away and made to feel like we were regulars. We got to pick our own table and once we did, someone stopped by right away to give us menus and take our drink orders. The menu is big and we let our server know it was our first time visiting. There is so much to choose from, so we needed a couple of minutes to see all the options. It was finally between a couple of things for us, and we asked for recommendations. I was told that the hollandaise sauce on the benedicts was really good, and I decided to go with the Irish Benedict, which had corned beef hash. It was delicious and the poached eggs were perfectly cooked! The home fries were so good...crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I loved the various memorabilia on the walls, especially everything related to Coach John Wooden. Several years ago, I had a chance to meet Coach, and he holds a special place in my heart. The overall vibe at the restaurant was friendly and welcoming. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was top-notch coffee shop cuisine. We loved meeting Paul, who was very kind. I would love to go back and try some of the lunch and Chinese options. We had parked on the street but were told that they validate in the parking area behind the restaurant. We saw & Waffles on Yelp and decided to walk down her from the coffee shop, which was maybe a 1/4 away from each other. Once we arrived, outside you're greeted by a nice waffle with wings mural, and inside a bustling establishment. With a hostess at the front and a cheeky "(Christopher) Walkers only" sign. We waited maybe 10-15 minutes uses to be seated and then sat in the bar area if the restaurant. We ordered the following: Cajun chicken & waffle Baja Omelet w/eggs whites and side of fruit The dishes were huge; especially the Cajun chicken & waffles. But best, the food was delicious, and worth the stop in. Overall: Great food, great staff, popular spot. Would definitely come back if in the area ever again, and needed a bite to eat.

We reviewed what others had recommended prior to ordering and decided on the Texas Style Chicken and Waffles along with the Combo Burrito (with bacon and Polish sausage). Both were a winner! And to drink we enjoyed a Lavender Iced Latte and a French Vanilla Iced Latte...both also spot on! The reason I deducted a star and only gave 4 stars instead of 5 and this is a BIG pet peeve of mine that I'm noticing more restaurants doing is setting their mobile credit card machines to include tax on tips! The tip % should ALWAYS be on the subtotal however in these restaurants' desire to make life more "convenient" with the pre-set Tip options (e.g 18%, 20%, 22%), they are knowingly setting their machines to include the tax in hopes that most people likely won't catch it. I'm usually good at calculating it myself but in my haste today, simply hit the default 20% button and only realized when I got home and doubled checked the bill. Also, I don't feel they should charge more for a non-dairy milk alternative as a lot of folks have milk allergies like myself...even most of the other coffee houses don't charge for milk alternatives anymore. At an already pricey $8.49 and $7.49 for these two lattes, it's unnecessary to gouge another $0.75 for Oatmilk. Hopefully the owner sees this and will consider adjusting both.

Inside is pretty bright and open and has just tables, there is not a counter or booths. This is much more of an elevated bistro/café type of place versus a diner or westside trendy LA brunch spot. I say that in the menu is also a bit limited however, there are a lot of great options on it. Our server was very polite, but there was quite a delay for our items after our order was placed. For my breakfast, I chose the Salted Caramel Latte to start and I thought this was actually very sweet and tasty, any caramel fan would enjoy it. It was a nice treat to start the meal and I would recommend. I followed up with the Crispy Prosciutto Benedict, and added avocado, which I would highly recommend doing. The crispy prosciutto was a really nice touch although the bread was a bit soggy and my eggs were a little bit overdone. It still had some nice flavors and I really did enjoy the side of potatoes with it. Overall, I would recommend for a nice quick and casual option with friends or family.
