Wish I had gone here more while working in the desert because they have such a variety of great food. My wife loved the avocado fries and the onion rings were also good. The service was great and though we ate outside it was still pleasant and we were not neglected. The inside was also nice. Came here looking for a good burger spot and decided to give this place a try glad I did! I ordered the spicy burger and the flavor was on point. The only downside was that it fell apart a bit while eating. Fries were served family-style, which was a nice touch. The tomato and mozzarella dish looked fresh and delicious. It was my birthday, so I was hoping for a solid experience and overall, it delivered. The place is a bit small for bigger groups, but perfect for a casual outing. I'd definitely come back on a regular day. As far as service it was good. Out of 6 of us they only got one burger wrong. Place still gets a 5 star. read more

Had the devils revenge burger, it was alright, patty's pretty thin, more toppings than meat. Wasn't the biggest fan. The fry portions are shareable which was nice, but came out cold. The four of us were ravenous after landing in Palm Springs and a quick search online led us to Grill-A-Burger! Since 2012, they've received multiple accolades for their burgers and were also featured on one episode of Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". At around 2:00P on a Sunday, there were still a few outdoor tables available, so we grabbed one of those. Our friendly waiter then came by with our waters. As you might expect, the burger menu is HUGE, so there is sure to be something for everyone. They offer at least 30 beef burgers, some non-beef burgers, salads, hot dogs and a bunch of different options for fries. Also check out their "not-so-secret menu" for some special items that are noted as having limited availability. To narrow down my options, I asked our waiter about his favorites to which he responded the #9 (Oooh LaLa!) and #13 (Pancho Villa). Burgers are served a la carte, so if you want fries or a side, they must be ordered separately. Unless otherwise noted, most burgers come with tomato, lettuce, red onion and pickle, but they are totally open to removing anything you don't want. + PANCHO VILLA ($15.75): A beef burger topped with roasted green chile, avocado, pepper jack cheese, onion, tomato, lettuce, and chipotle mayo (I excluded the pickles). The cheese was nicely melted and stretchy and the green chile added a little acidity. Fresh onion, tomato and lettuce complemented the burger and the avocado was perfectly smooth. I normally love chipotle mayo, but this one was somewhat masked by all the other ingredients. The burger patty itself was pretty thick, although it didn't have a charred flavor and needed a touch of salt. Luckily, the lightly toasted bun held up well. + GAAAAAHLIC FRIES ($9.75 full order): Woah! These are the garlickiest garlic fries I've ever had. The thin-cut fries came topped with fresh chopped garlic, salt and parsley. While tasty, some fries appeared overly browned, but I assume it wasn't due to old oil since their menu states they change it out everyday. Others in my family ordered the NYC Pretzel Burger ($14.50), Oooh LaLa Parisian Bistro Burger ($14.75) and the Pro-Vo-Lone Ranger Burger ($14.75). Everyone seemed to enjoy their lunch. Our waiter checked back with us a couple times and left the bill as we were about halfway done with our meal, but didn't rush us at all. Just left grill a burger. Terrible experience. I just ordered a grillaburger which comes with tomato alittle onion (I had to order extra) no lettuce and their own mayo sauce. The meat was raw. Red like out of the package red. And cold. Our waiter took our order, then I never saw him again to ask to cook it more. When he brought the bill I showed him the burger(no I couldn't eat it) His answer was you ordered it medium rare and that's how we do it. No apologies. Obviously, I will never go back. First of all, Grill a burger has plenty of parking around it. It has plenty of outdoor seating. The decor is Hawaiian themed. I came here mostly because Guy Fieri has been twice so I must give it a go. We sat outside and the server got our order quickly. The food was also ready super fast. We came on a Thursday night around their busy time of 5 to 7p.m. they managed to get the food out despite that. Service was good and efficient. The food was a mixed bag. I ordered the OMG burger based off a Yelp review. It was just Ok. I wouldn't say it was the best that I have had. 3/5 stars. I also ordered the onion rings. They were good. They were thinly breaded. 4/5 stars. The California avocado fries redeemed my meal. Wow! I could eat them over and over. I've never had anything quiet like it. The avocado was not mushy in the middle. It was made fresh and crispy. 5/5 stars. The worst dish that I had was the poutine. Do not get this dish! I don't think they should have this on the menu at all. The gravy was a curry gravy. It was bad. The fries were skinny and soggy. They put the fries over the gravy. I'm pretty sure that's not how it should be. Finally the "cheese curds" they put on top were not melted and were probably not curds. 1/5 stars. My husband and I stopped in for lunch last week and were really surprised at the friendly service. Donna, our server, treated us as if we were regular customers. I noticed she glanced at our order as it came out of the kitchen to make sure the fries were crisp as ordered. She continued to make sure we were enjoying ourselves through out the meal. And while we were first in as it opened at 11:00 AM by the time we left the restaurant was bussing with folks enjoying their meals. Great smash burger. We'll be back. read more

I was not impressed. We were seated and ended up having to flag someone down to place an order. It was frustrating watching people that came in after us being helped. Anyway, the burgers are severely overpriced and have absolutely no seasoning. The only thing I could taste was the red onion. I ended up adding mustard, thousand inland dressing and salt to get some (little) flavoring. Fries - we ordered the trifecta which is overrated. Stopped in to pick up an order of the Trifecta which is fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings. The sweet po were my favorite and onion rings were next. The regular fries were ok, but not as good as the other two. Also got 2 sauces to go with - a chipotle mayo and garlic aioli. They were 75 cents each. Both were great with the mix. Total was about $15 for everything. I didn't love paying for sauces but they have about 20 different sauces to choose from. Called in my order and it was ready in just 10 minutes. Easy pick up. We recently went to Grill A Burger again and the food was outstanding. We love the Tiki Hut vibe too. Service was great as the staff offered good suggestions. This place had come recommended on a blog I had looked at when researching food in the area. We got there and my 7 year old had McDonald's so we could not sit inside but there was an outdoor patio table opening that they said we could sit at. Staff helping us with the table was very kind. She apologized for the poor service we got at the restaurant prior to this one, which is why we ended up eating here. We were seated and drink orders taken quickly. The menu for food is quite large and we were having issues deciding and the server kept checking on us until they stopped. We ordered a half order of onion rings and fries $9.75 (onion rings-so good! Fries were meh). Finally able to order and I got the #17 Ricky Ricardo $14.75 which is "jalapeño peppers, grilled onion, pepper jack cheese, crisp hardwood smoked bacon on a jalapeño cheese bun with chipotle mayo." I had debated on getting the Devil's revenge but worried it would be too spicy. My burger was underwhelming. The patty itself while large was flavorless and non of the toppings melded together. It was like making a burger and throwing random stuff on it. Husband got chili bang bang which is "open faced, all meat chili, cheddar cheese and diced sweet onion." He requested a pretzel bun but did not get it. His burger was also meh. My husband had 2 fat tires $7.25 each bringing out total to $53.50 ($57.65 after tax). While the staff was so kind, the food was ok. Glad I got to try it out but would't go out of my way to eat here again. This restaurant is in a busy strip mall at the very end. A disappointingly dry and tasteless burger experience. Despite the abundant theming, no part of our visit made me want to come back. The service was friendly, the fries were decent, and the menu titles were funny. But I ordered the Honolulu Lulu burger (their take on the Hawaiian burger) and there was no excuse for how bland it was. It had pineapple, bacon, and teriyaki sauce dripping down my hand, but all I could taste was the uncooked onion. For the price they're charging, you'd expect these burgers to come with fries, but you have to order them separately. A full order feeds several - it took the three of us to complete it. They were fine, but I wouldn't come back for them. I enjoyed the decor. Care was clearly put into the ambiance. Based on some of the other ratings, it's possible my experience was a fluke, and maybe I'll give it another shot once I've exhausted the other burger options in Palm Springs. read more

What a HUGE disappointment. Had wanted to come here for several years and was really looking forward to this. When we walked in, we were told that we could sit inside our outside - we chose outside due to the overwhelming small of Fabuloso. We had a choice of a table next to a trashcan or next to the spilled milkshake both bascially in the parking lot. We chose the second. When we sat, the female server gave us a dirty look. Our server (male) came out and tended to us the rest of the time - which apparantly upset him. He was not friendly and it came off as that he was upset that we were there. The food was not flavorful at all. I asked for a side of ranch (which tasted like HV bottled - not homemade) and that didn't help the flavor. Though the menu was large, it didnt' equate to flavorul. Service was almost non-existant. When we were leaving, nobody even thanked us - the female server just ignored us as we walked by. Not friendly and not tasty. We ended up at Shake Shack the next day to fulfill our burger craving and WOW, what a difference! Go to Shake Shack if you want a good burger! read more

This place is a hamburger lovers heaven. So many kinds of hamburgers! It's a casual sit down restaurant with outdoor patio sitting as well. We arrived a few minutes after they opened and the place was already half filed with customers. We ordered a chili burger ,the Tuscany burger and a mini deluxe burger . Each of us enjoyed what we ordered . We also shared an order of avocado fries which were thick slices of avocado rolled in panko flakes and deep fried. It came with two dipping sauces that were a tasty accompaniment. The names of the burgers are funny which makes the ordering kinda fun. It seems that the locals come here for a good burger. Such a hidden gem and wonder local spot. The burgers are juicy and flavorful, the service is friendly, and the menu has something for everyone. My favorite is the Swiss mushroom burger with sweet potato fries, but the onion rings are fantastic as well. It's all jungle themed inside and even though it is a small space, it's very welcoming. Grill-A-Burger is one of the best spots in the desert hands down. Over the course of 2025 me and my girlfriend have been coming almost weekly and the food is always top notch. I made it a personal mission to try every single Burger on the menu because I am not a picky eater, and rank them. I won't go into detail on every placement but I will explain what the ranking categories mean, and go into more depth on why my Top 5 is the way it is, and why the C tier is the way it is. Every ranking is in order from best to worst in MY OPINION. You may like different things, try them for yourself if they sound appealing. Every Burger came as is with no modifications, and if I was explicitly supposed to pick the cheese, I picked American. Top 5 is exactly what it sounds like. S-Tier are solid burgers with a lot of personal bonus points awarded based on ingredient combinations and how well they worked together. A-Tier is a solid Burger with one or two little things I really enjoyed about the burger. B-Tier are just good and solid burgers, no notes, you won't be disappointed. And C-Tier, as you may be able to guess, are still solid burgers BUT I have maybe one or two things negative to say about them. With that said, lets jump into it! Top 5: #1 Tuscany - I tried this Burger about halfway through my journey and it has never been dethroned since. The ciabatta was warm and fluffy, and absolutely carried this Italian inspired masterpiece. All of the flavors from the basil mayo and bruchetta mix really came together to make this the best burger on the menu for me. 10/10 no notes, and I can't wait to have it again! #2 Code Blue - Quite simply the best blue cheese burger on the menu. The sautéed mushrooms really add up to make a wonderful experience, and the chipotle mayo really helps to tie to smokey and funky flavors together. #3 Pancho Villa - Starts with your typical burger toppings, but the addition of the roasted green chile and the avocado really wowed me in a way I can't describe. The flavor combination was fantastic. #4 Devil's Revenge - Devil's Revenge was my go to order before I became a regular. As a spice head I always enjoy eating the hottest thing on the menu and while this is, I still think it is a wonderful balance of spice and flavor. Absolutely delightful Burger, the custom Jalepeño Cheese bun really elevates the burger, and the Habanero Relish is truly a flavor to behold. The closest comparable Burger on the menu if you have low spice tolerance but crave a kick is the Ricky Ricardo's Babaloo. #5 Double Trouble - The last of my Top 5, the Double Trouble strikes the perfect balance for the regular burger lovers out there. A real double bacon cheeseburger through and through, and though the extra patty may prove a challenge to most regular folk, I found it to be the perfect size. S-Tier: Hollywood Brown Derby, Big Mock, Avocado BLT, Gagapolooza, Magic Mushroom, Blue Job, Chili Chili Bang Bang A-Tier: Dracula's Dilemma, Da' Bomb, Mama Mia, Burger Au Poivre, Big Fat Greek, Holy Moly!, Ricky Ricardo's Babaloo, Hokey Smokey, NYC Pretzel B-Tier: Provo-Lone Ranger, Great Eggspectations, Bacon Me Crazy, OMG Burger, Ooh LaLa, Burger Zilla, Deluxe Cheeseburger C-Tier: Deluxe Hamburger - Great burger. Typical toppings but it is the no cheese option on the menu, and I am a cheese lover. Skinny - I am a big proponent of lettuce wrapped burgers. Always adds a ton of freshness ans crunch, but the lettuce offered at this joint is great as a topping, but the day I ordered this the lettuce wasn't structurally sound enough to hold the burger. Still delicious though. Honolulu Lulu - Fantastic Hawaiian style burger, best I've ever had easily. Unfortunately, the flavor of terrayaki is not my favorite. If Hawaiian is your jam this is the one. Patty Meltin - Finally, someone had to be last and, for me, it's the Patty Meltin'. The bread is what really killed it for me. In truth it was a solid burger put on plain and untoasted rye bread. If it was toasted it was far too light to notice. Definitely not what I expected from a patty melt, but the actual contents of the sandwich was enough to keep it in C-Tier, but not enough to take it out of last. Last bit of praise, the staff is always welcoming and friendly and we really enjoy seeing the crew every week. Also, the food always comes out quick and fresh, I don't think I've waited more than 15 minutes for our food, even when it's busy. Me and my girlfriend also love the decorations. read more

Just went here for lunch a few hours ago. Ordered a #2 cheese burger and a mini cheese burger. This place do cook up a good burger with all the trimmings. Everything was fresh. This place remind of a restaurant that my parents took us to in San Francisco called "Hippo" Hippo also serve burger in at least fifty different ways. The burger was cooked well done. I prefer the burger to be cooked medium I personally prefer a burger cooked medium or medium rare. I would have given them five stars if the burger was cooked medium rare. The French fries definitely was hand cut. The onion rings was perfect. Guy Fieri with the Food Network have done two episode about seven years ago. Good place if you want a burger. We tried several Mexican eateries with full capacity. My friend suggested Grill- A- Burger as our last option. We were hungry and were going to go back to there place if we struck out. I was busy but they did have a table for 4. This place has a huge menu with tons of options. Their were 2 orders of CV Firebird. Plant base Chicken sandwhich on a brioche bun with shredded lettuce,tomato,and pickles. An order of Baja Fish Tacos. Beer battered,Panko breaded white fish, lightly crisped California style. Topped with housemade mango salsa, fresh shredded cabbage and lime cilantro sauce on a flour tortilla. I had the Lady Gaga burger. A big burger with Prosciutto, Provolon, lettuce and tomato, and pickles on a toasted sourdough bun. An order of hand cut Russet potato French Fries. Our server who was great, made a mistake and gave us an order of Garlic French Fries on the house. Everyone enjoyed there meal. Our order came out super fast too! I can't find enough words to tell how much we love this restaurant! Food quality is consistently high especially beef quality is superb. I normally order lettuce wrap burger which makes lot of messes as I eat because beef patties is so juicy. Last Friday, I had Taco Salad first time. It was huge, but because of the great beef flavor, it was as great as their burgers:) I stole my husband's fries which were very best ones I had ever eaten!! I recognize from flavor, they are making almost everything from scratch and fresh ingredients. Staff are so friendly and attentive. One biggest reason we come this restaurant is Donna. She is a "Kanban-Musume" if I describe in Japanese, (sorry please ask the meanings to your Japanese friend!) who is always there and serve and care wholeheartedly and give her love for customers. Was staying at one of the resorts nearby and came here for dinner one night with the kids. I originally saw the restaurant on Diners, Drive ins and Dives. -Staff were wonderful and patient with my crazy kids. They even split a full size shake into 2 small ones so each kid have one. I'm giving a 2 instead of a 1 because the price of the food was very fair. But everything else was garbage. Bacon on my burger was barely cooked. Burger was past well done, and I asked for medium. My burger came with an egg that was cooked completely. No yolk. Horribly over cooked. Fries, we're disgusting. SO MUCH grease it piled up an inch in the bottom of the holder and started dripping through the holder onto the table. And they taste like crap. No salt. And literally taste like the oil in the fryer hasn't been changed in a while. What a letdown. The table next to us said " we are ready to order" and the waiter responded with "do you see me working? I'll get to you as soon as I can".....I mean, I can handle some smart ass talk IF YOUR FOOD backs it up. But talking shit and peddling shit is a hard pass for us. Won't be going back ever. read more
