Had an underwhelming experience at the Grille Riverview for Christmas Dinner. We called a few days ahead to make a reservation for a party of 9 and were given a 7pm time. We pulled up, and they had a valet service that was quick and efficient. Once we walked in, we were promptly seated, but that's where the good service disappeared. Our server looked exhausted, and he informed us more than once that they had served over 800 tables today, and he had been there since before 9am. We also found out that 7pm was the last seating. You could tell he was over it, and we were not getting his best. No fault to him...I would be exhausted serving for that amount of time as well. One of the kids in the group has some severe allergies. We informed our server of the allergies, and he said, 'I'm not sure what you want me to do with that'. We assumed he would go to the kitchen and inform the chef, but the kid's meal came out with something we specifically told him the child could not have. You could tell all the staff were ready to go. While we were eating, another staff member walked around asking us if we wanted any tea before he threw it out. Many of us ordered from the special Christmas menu. It was a meal that included bread, an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert for around $51. The bread was advertised as coming with pesto, but we only received butter. I ordered the smoked Gouda and pepper chowder. That was probably the best thing on the menu for me. It was flavorful and warm. While we were still enjoying our appetizers, like I had taken 2-3 spoonfuls, our entrees came out. We felt so rushed and unable to truly enjoy the food or each other. The majority of the party ordered the salmon or the strip loin. I ordered the strip loin, and it lacked flavor and was also room temperature. I was hesitant to say anything, as the staff's mood was to eat up and get out. I just packed it up to heat and doctor later. Those who ordered the salmon said it was good. The majority of us packed up our desserts as well to not hold the staff any longer. We were back in the car and pulling away by 9pm. I'm thankful for them being open on Christmas, sacrificing time with their family and friends and relaxing, to serve. But on an almost $600 bill with an automatic $90 gratuity, service and food should have been better.

This is only our 2nd visit to this beautiful waterfront restaurant. We were quickly seated and our Server, Madi G. quickly took our drink orders and offered suggestions for our dinner. She was super friendly and professional offering to put the shades down as the sun was really beating down on our table. The views are amazing, dolphins, seabirds, sunsets etc. We ordered the chicken franchise with extra lemon and subbed asparagus for the chefs veggies. Absolutely delicious!! Robert (manager) checked in on us which was sweet. He also plays disc golf and gave us ideas for places to visit in the future. Great meal, awesome service and atmosphere. The restaurant was exceptionally clean as were the bathrooms. Great experience

I came here Saturday night for drinks and to watch the sunset. The restaurant is on the water and has such a nice view when the sun is going down. We got to see some dolphins playing too. There was live music. The woman singing had such a beautiful voice. I got a moscato and a brownie for dessert. The menu looked good but I wasn't that hungry and wanted something sweet. The bartenders were really nice and friendly. I had a nice time.

We had our office Christmas party here. They offered a fish option, a chicken option, and a vegetarian pasta option. We had bruschetta and egg rolls for appetizers. The food was tasty. Not amazing, but good. The dinner salad was very fresh and full of a variety of veggies. The view on the water was nice, and we saw a few dolphins as we were enjoying dinner. My drink at happy hour was $12.00. They charged automatic 20% gratuity for our large group. I enjoyed our party, but I don't know if I would come here on my own.

Michael our server is a gentlemen rockstar. Food was good. The jalepeno margaritas were awesome. I had the Cuban. My wife has a Caesar with shrimp. Our friends had the goat cheese salad and big pork chop. All was very good.

We (there were 4 of us) were looking for a place to eat on Valentine's day and had no reservations anywhere. We picked one place and it was a 3hr wait. So we continued to drive and found The Grille. We took a chance and it paid off. They could seat us on the pier/dock or in smoking section. Of course we picked the dock. It was a bit cold so we moved to the smoking section. This turned out to be awesome for two reasons. First, there were no smokers. Second, we got a fantastic waitress, Julia. She helped us pick our appetizers and entrees. We started with a shrimp cocktail, tuna, and mussels. Everything was very fresh and great tasting. Next, we got the line caught grouper and the filet and Shrimp. Again, everything was really fresh and the servings were quite big. Julia was on the ball. Always there to fill drinks, or anything else that we needed. Idk why the reviews were iffy. This place rocks. The food was really good. The service was awesome. The view on the water was really nice. We had a great experience here and will definitely be back. Perfect for Valentine's day for sure. The prices are high but you get what you pay for, so be prepared. I recommend highly.

I really like The Grille at Riverview. The views from the outdoor dining area of the Indian River waterways are stunning and the boat traffic is a lovely sight to see. But best of all, the professional service and food. When I read the menu, I couldn't at first believe my eyes. They have a Beef on Weck which they add as their version of the upstate New York "Beef on Weck." It's served on a salted pretzel bun with slow-roasted prime rib, topped with creamy horseradish sauce, or raw horseradish. I ordered one for lunch and though the salted pretzel bun was not as good as the Kummelweck bun used on the real Beef on Weck served in Buffalo, New York, it was still delicious. Then for dinner, I tried their Prim Rib which they selected by identifying three primary characteristics- marbling, maturity, and muscle texture to ensure that the highest level of tenderness, juiciness, and flavor is attained. Mine came with gouda bacon mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, au jus, and a creamy horseradish sauce. It all made for a perfect delicious dinner. Four plus Yelp Stars.

    Sunset at Riverview!!

We had the best time at Riverview last night. We watched the sunset, it was magical. This restaurant is known for seafood and beef. Three of us had prime rib, the other had crab legs. All delish. Mike was our waiter, very attentive and helpful. We watched boats come and go while we enjoyed tasty beverages. We will be back!!

Let me start with the positives. The restaurant is beautiful and has a very aesthetic feel. It's waterfront and the view is wonderful to enjoy over brunch. The reason I gave it two stars is because an ingredient that I'm allergic to was added to the item I ordered, even though it wasn't listed on the menu item. I am so thankful I looked before I took a bite, because that's extremely negligent. If something is added to an item on the menu and not listed, the person ordering should be made aware. Not only was this ingredient added, but no resolution was made other than packing the remade meal to go. While the rest of my party ate their brunch, I had to bring mine home. The mimosas were wonderful, I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, but I can't give beyond two stars if the service isn't accommodating and thinking of the customer's experience and dietary restrictions.

We dined around 6:00pm on a Wednesday evening. Very busy... Reservations are a must Beautiful table by the water and we were able to catch a gorgeous sunset. Food is good. The trout was delicious without the sauce. Veggie rice and pea pods. Our favorite end to the evening was by far the raspberry keylime pie, which is perfect for four people. The parking is a bit tricky. We got lucky on the street. We were told by staff that you can park in the back under the hotel river view signs. This is a large restaurant with an upper deck and inside dining room.

This spot has always held great memories for all of us, whether together or separately, and we were hoping it would still feel the same. It absolutely did. Since it was a Monday night, it was nicely relaxed--not too crowded--and the atmosphere couldn't have been better. We grabbed a table right by the bar in the open-air section, and everything about it was just perfect. The weather cooperated (low humidity for the win!), and the setting felt like a little tropical escape. Between the pergola, Bimini-style covers, and all the lush greenery, it honestly felt like dining in a beautiful garden. Our server was fantastic--patient, attentive, and genuinely kind--even as we got caught up in nonstop conversation and took our time ordering. Never once felt rushed, which made the night even more enjoyable. When we finally ordered, the food did not disappoint. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. There are so many great options on the menu that everyone at the table left happy (and already talking about what to try next time). It's rare to find a place that delivers consistently on atmosphere, service, and food--but this one still does. So glad we chose it for such a meaningful night. We'll definitely be back.

I thought I was eating on south beach for a moment. Flavors were intense, but not overpowering & it all complemented one another. If you are there make sure you try this appetizer. The bread for the Crustini was fresh not overly hard or stale. The main course I had was perfect. I had the steak au poivre. The sear on the meat was spot on and the sauce was not overly peppery. It let the steak do its job with the seared crust. Chefs veggies were good and the red bliss mash was velvet, smooth. The cocktails here also are amazing! We did go here on a busy night and the server appeared potentially high. A number of times we asked questions or he seemed to be very confused by what we were saying or asking. We ordered a number of things; blackberry mule, lavender lemonade, salmon with crab cake, and the firecracker shrimp. My friends ordered food as well but I won't speak to it as I did not try it. The lavender lemonade was so yummy! Not too sweet, fruit, or overbearing in flavor. The blackberry mule was not served in a tin cup nor did it taste very good. The firecracker shrimp was by far the best thing that we had and it was spicy and so tasty! Normally these are fried but this came fresh and not breaded. For my main dish I ordered salmon, the seasonal veggie, potato's and the crab cake. The salmon was well done, blackened as requested, delicious and crispy with lots of flavor. The crab cake was soggy/mushy and not at all good. The asparagus was cooked well, with just a little crunch. The potatoes were a multicolored mix, fried, and had the perfect amount of garlic. Overall i would come back here, and skip over some of the fried/soggy food options and stick with the delicious firecracker shrimp and lavender beverage. I am hoping the inattentiveness of the waiter and appearance of being high was an anomoly and would give this place another chance -- as the beach and other aspects made it worth while.
