I ordered food for myself and my co workers today (5/25/19), we ordered bbq chicken wings, buffalo chicken wrap and a chicken Caesar wrap. The food was the worst. First, the wings were burnt and were not tossed in the bbq sauce. The buffalo wrap was drenched in buffalo sauce and it was sour. The chicken caesar wrap well let's just say the chicken must've been undercooked because it was chewy. When we called, whoever we spoke to was very unprofessional. She said "I'm assuming the food is all gone?" Anyway, she said she couldn't do anything but give us free dessert and even then she wasn't sure how the owners would feel about that. Why would the owner not want to accommodate their customers? I brought the food back to show her that it wasn't "all gone" because to me she was insinuating that I was lying. The whole experience was not what I expected. And not worth the $30 that I spent. read more

So I've supported Grillers since it opened good food . 1st the Bad My last few visits haven't been great , today we ordered for pickup we showed up 15 minutes later I guess the ticket didn't print so 10-15 minutes later our order was ready . I ordered Lemon rice soup ( I thought that was soup the lady offered or Baja chicken ) it was neither not bad but barely a hint of lemon I recommend the Steer for a proper lemon rice , the onion rings were a sloppy mess, no sauce (see pics ) the blackened Cajun wrap didn't come with a pickle (3rd time straight , not a big deal but if it's on the menu give me a pickle ) The Good the wrap was great , onion rings sloppy but tasty , The Jamaican Jerk Farfalle with chicken was excellent definitely will order again !!! I'm gonna order again but with the constant mistakes gave 3 instead of 4-5 stars worth checking out !! Came on a rainy day, I found perfect parking and made it in b4 rush hour lunch (table guaranteed). This is a take-out or sit-in type of restaurant, you place your order at the register then receive a number and they'll bring over your food. The menu offered fresh salads, wraps, burgers, soup, and even a Chicago-style hotdog. I ordered the cilantro wrap with 'carne asada' steak, it definitely had its ethnic flare- avocado and jalapenos! and with this wrap I can choose either soup, salad or chips- which are homemade fresh potato chips YUM! The chicken enchilada soup is terrific too. Grillers Inc. has a diner feel, I ordered coffee (which was delicious), and the staff came over a few times to ask if everything was fine and or if I wanted some more coffee. The tables were clean and dry, ready for you to feed. The tv's kept the diners entertained possibly for all the sport teams Chicago has to offer. p.s. Great experience. We went up to the window and ordered and the food came out shortly thereafter. It was breakfast and we were the only people in there at that time bc they must have just opened. The omelette with chorizo and the basic eggs with bacon were both quite good. My one gripe with this place is that their potatoes were not my favorite--kind of bland. This place is GREAT! A little gem in Whiting. Its come A LONG way since my dad owned the hienie's that once occupied the building, I love what they did with the place. Whenever I want a Monte Cristo, I ALWAYS come here; their Monte Cristos just can't be beat (especially with the raspberry jelly). I really like this place. Every time I come here the food is always delicious. I usually get pasta because it really is that good. They cook the pasta perfectly and the sauces they use are bursting with flavor. The cooks really know what they're doing. The service is quick and friendly too. This place is a gem in the heart of Whiting,IN. I like the area because the downtown feel has a small family cozy feel to it. So to have great restaurants like this one makes it that much better. Parking is sometimes hard to find but eventually you'll find something. They also have the best tater tots! Crispy brown tots that bring me back to my child hood days! The wrap had steak, avocado, peppers, onions, a sauce and cheese, wrapped in a green tortilla. I ordered the homemade chips as my side. They were all crispy and not soggy at all. I saw lots of delicious looking pasta dishes, and I was shocked at how awesome a deal this place is. I judge restaurants based on their Ranch dressing, and theirs was aweosme ha! I was there on 04\30\19. I ordered a Blackened chicken wrap, and a Rudy club salad. I repeated my order twice only to find that they messed up my order. The chicken in both items was absolutely horrible. Tough, almost rubber like the texture was bad. We tried to eat them but we ended up throwing more than half away. I called on 05/01/19 to talk to a manager spoke to Yasmine I think that was her name. Told her about everything. She told me Grillers is aware of the chicken issue I'm not the first to complain. Are you kidding me. This business is still purchasing this chicken from the same supplier. I told her we wanted our money back she had to talk to the manager first. She called me back at work only to say he would only give half of the money or more food. NO THANKS!!!! Grillers is one of the newest additions to this busy street but has already made a good impression on the local visitors. Their menu has a variety of choices that range from Chicago style dishes, pitas and wraps, salads, starters and sides, broiled burgers, specialty sandwiches, and a separate pasta menu and kids menu. Nothing on their menu is over the price of $9.00 however; you have to buy the drink separate with your order. Their location is in a decent spot, the inside isn't very large but it isn't a tight space either, they are on a busy street with competition but they still manage to stick out. The place is very orderly, clean, and well kept. Everything in there seems to be new and they have wonderful service. In the several occasions that I have eaten there the staff has been nothing but nice and of course the food was excellent! I've tried almost one thing in each category on the menu and they have all been delicious! For customers they have the convenience of having their food brought out to them once they have ordered. The service; however, did seem a bit more friendly than usual and that was a plus, because it is always pleasant when the people you order your food from are friendly to you. The price of the food; however, is not so pleasant. The food is pretty high priced and it would not be a place to go to daily unless you have the money to do so.
