This places deserves 6 stars I went yesterday with my family and had dinner, it was very good experience. The staff was very welcoming, helpful and prepared, always friendly and with a smile on their face. The food was very tasty, delicious, the menu had a lot of choices and every member of my family were happy with their choice. All the food was very fresh and great flavor. Absolutely delicious hamburgers, amazing wraps, super delicious wings and even pasta! The deserts were fresh and good quality, the sizes were generous and the presentation was elegant. The place was very clean, nicely illuminated and spacious. The bathroom was very clean, well illuminated, the decoration was beautiful, the bathroom floor was clean, even toilet was very clean. We stay till late and they were helpful all the time! I worked in restaurants before and finding such a hardworking people is very difficult, this restaurant staff has a highly trained and high loyal. They were happy, it seems that they love what they do so they were happy, and that happiness and good energy is very contagious... We felt like at home, it was a very "home" experience I loved it. I came here with a colleague. I had a cheeseburger with grilled onions, and accompanied by their tato puffs (basically round hash browns). The burger was fine, but for $9, it wasn't a very good value, and it was a long wait even at 11:15am, before the rush. I noticed however that it is a popular lunch place. I think their offering of other more healthy items like grilled chicken salads, and pita wraps are a big attraction for the area. Since I tend not to order those for lunch (er, I guess I mean anytime), I would say that this is not the best place to pick up a burger anyway. read more

Whiting is a charming town to begin with, but this place is a hidden gem! (ATTN CHICAGO: It's 20 minutes away! This historic town borders the lake and the East Side of Chicago. So hop on the Skyway and make a trip - preferably when they host Pierogi Fest in July!) However, according to the locals, this is a regular place for grub. You walk into a large menu of just about everything. Order at the counter (they have Belly!), fill your own class, pick a seat and your food is brought to you. And the food is nothing short of excellent! I ordered the southwest turkey wrap which is large enough for an entree. With the wrap, or any sandwich, you get your choice of fries, tater tots or house chips. And although house chips are always tempting, I knew they're fries had an outstanding reputation so that was my choice. Warm, flaky and perfectly battered! I'd also recommend the grilled veggie platter - it's huge! Easily feeds 4 people as a side. Price here is pretty reasonable and it's easily a great choice for bringing the family. Friendly folks for sure! I got the Rudy's Club Salad. Rad. I'm on that Keto deal again, and this salad fit the bill. With no tomatoes of course. Unfortunately yet delicious for me, the salad did have some hidden yummy croutons in it. (Not in the description on the menu from yelp). With so many options in the area we thought Grillers would be the best choice... how wrong we were. Food was brought to the fable uncooked and cold. When returned the fries came back colder then the first time. That meal was returned and the one we attempted to eat should have also been sent back. Chicken was dry, bun was soggy, fries were cold.... nothing to EVER make me want to return. Be selective and use better judgement then we did, there are better options. read more

I had the Blackened Cajun Chicken Wrap. It was OK. For Blackend Chicken it should have been a little spicier. Overall the taste was OK. The thing I did like was the potatoe chips. We will never order Griller's for delivery again. If they would just be upfront with me, and say are you sure you want delivery, it will be 2 hours from now, and your food will be cold. This place was recommended to us by a couple of my husband's co-workers and we were quite pleased. We thought the food was great. I ordered the tomato basil pasta with shrimp. For 10 bucks I got a huge serving of pasta, garlic bread and a side salad. The cilantro-lime vinegrette was quite tasty. The customer service was very good. The girl who took our order was polite and attentive. However, our food was a bit overcooked. My wife ordered huevos rancheros and I had the Mexican skillet. I went here for the first time a few years back with a customer when I used to visit the steel mills in northwest Indiana all the time. I cannot recall every dish I have gotten here, but the wraps are all great. I have had the steak wrap which is my favorite and the blackened chicken was really good too. Lots of variety on sides as well; you can be healthy or load up on carbs, your call! This is not fast food necessarily, but it is delicious. Grillers quickly became my favorite place to grab a bite to eat. I entered a waypoint into my GPS and is marked in my favorites. Anytime I have the opportunity to be in the NW Indiana area, I stop. Rudy's club sandwich was one of the best club's I've had. A perfect ratio of crusty bread, chicken, avocado and tomato. The lettuce was green and leafy. I don't want to review the restaurant as much as I want to review a particular sandwich: The Monte Cristo. I was passionate about the Monte at Bennigan's -- I ordered it nearly every single time...and then Bennigan's closed up shop. I was devastated! I tried the Monte at other restaurants; no one got it right by comparison. It was always missing one of the meats or the batter wasn't right or they didn't serve it with the side of preserves. I stopped ordering it, having completely given up hope. And then I stopped in at Griller's and decided I didn't want my usual that day (the chicken quesadilla, which is most DEFINITELY a full meal despite its "appetizer" listing). I browsed the menu, spotted the Monte, read the description and thought, "well, I know they've got great food here -- I'll give it a go." I'm SO glad I did! It looked like a Monte Cristo should look; smelled like a Monte Cristo; had the preserves on the side like a Monte should have. I took a bite and felt like I was back at Bennigan's -- totally in love all over again! When our server popped over to make sure everything was okay (it was an unusually slow evening for them), I told her all about Bennigan's and how this sandwich was one tiny garnish away from being a spitting image: powdered sugar. She immediately disappeared behind the counter and returned moments later with a powdered sugar dispenser and dusted the rest of my sandwich. Oh. My. Heaven! I'm sure this sounds incredibly exaggerated but I shit you not with a single word of it: this sandwich is positively phenomenal. In fact, my fiance is at Griller's RIGHT NOW, as I write this, ordering two Montes to-go for our lunch. Give it a try on your next go; I'm certain you won't be disappointed. read more
