Grimaldis pizza was a delight! The restaurant itself was clean, well decorated, and had great AC. The staff was friendly, from the host to the food delivery! Our waitress Melinda was awesome, she was attentive, and super friendly. We ordered the don, and the aloha NY as well as a zesty lemon salad. The salad was fresh and amazing. Very tasty. I personally give the pizza a 5/5. My boyfriend noted that the sauce was a little sweet. I am not super picky about my sauces, but once he mentioned that, I did notice that the red sauce was a little bit on the sweeter side. I didn't mind it. (Personal preference ) The ranch & hot honey were a great touch on the side. WARNING the hot honey is in fact hot :)) the ranch has a good texture, not to runny & not too thick! We would recommend for a date night, or a large group outting! It's pretty big so you are able to sit large groups. read more

I enjoyed my quick weekday lunch here with a couple of coworkers. While they had their holiday specials, I tried their duo pizza, a Caesar salad and one of the cran-Cherry twist drinks. It was all very good! I like their pizza and their ratio of sauce and toppings. Our server was great and really sweet. Ambiance was like your typical pizza restaurant / bar. Great experience at Grimaldi's! The service was great....We sat out in the patio which was nice with a really cool outdoor bar. We really enjoyed "The Don" pizza which we ordered in the largest size and WOW...it's huge! We were starving but could barely eat two slices lol! It was delicious and perfect for a meat lover! The drinks are also wonderful! I had the peach mocktail and is my new favorite! We had a stellar service and will definitely be returning. read more

It was honestly mid. They have this one table. Unfortunately no fault to them I always get stuck at this one table. It's cold. Right in-between both doors. Don't sit here right at the front during the winter. The food is subpar. Don't count on eating here if your guest can't decide on what pizza to order. They don't have individual pizzas. Visited Grimaldi's and was surprised that from the outside it looks like a New York City "hole in the wall" restaurant which it is not. However, disappointed that it's "only a pizza place" with NYC prices in Huntsville Alabama! Not for anything, food prices are up, but $32.00 for pizza in Alabama, come on now! You are paying for the ambiance, and the service was excellent. Also learned it's turned into a chain. If I want pizza, I'll go to a pizza joint where I can also get a chicken parm hero sandwich. If you want high priced pizza with Brooklyn prices, this is your place. Even with high prices of food these days, these pizza prices are nuts. Oh, the taste of the pizza you ask? I don't give out 5 stars a lot. Sat at the bar solo. Really nice selection of draft beer and a nice wine list. This place is about as good as it gets. Food is amazing, great pizza!! Really cool atmosphere. They even have 1/2 price wine and bingo going on tonight. Bartender was very friendly and I was even greeted at the door as she held it open. Definitely coming back! We have gone here oh so many times since we discovered it. We miss the New York pizza place we use to go to when we moved here from Phnx, and this scratches that itch. We all really enjoy the pizza, and have even taken friends with us on occasion who have also returned and introduced other friends. Food has always been great, and never had issues with burnt or undercooked pizzas. The staff has always been polite and tentative. Doesn't matter if they were busy or not. The restaurant has always been clean when we've been there. The decor is nice and not over the top. Some nights it felt like tables maybe a little to close, but nothing deal breaking. On three different occasions there were mishaps with our order, but each time we were offered resolutions before we even realized there was a problem. read more

Stopped in for some lunch while doing some shopping. We got a couple salads and they were both great. I had the Mediterranean salad and it was loaded with goodies. The dressing was perfect. Wifey had the Caesar salad and it was also great. The dressing was nice and light. We got a 12" traditional with pepperoni and Italian sausage. The pizza was also great! We've been to Grimaldi's twice and both times really enjoyed our dinners. First time we ordered the Prosciutto Arugula pizza-- a white pizza with prosciutto then fresh arugula after baking-- and loved it. A little salty for my wife's taste but fine by me, and paired with the arugula it's an excellent pizza. The second time we ordered the "Brooklyn Bridge"-- sausage and red peppers with ricotta cheese-- and loved this one, too! The addition of the ricotta made this one special. And the red sauce was fresh and really good. The crust is thin and baked in a brick oven. Nice! Inside the restaurant it's red check table cloths, old photos of NYC and Frank Sinatra music, befitting the chain's first location at the Brooklyn Bridge. More classy than cliche. Nice crew, too! This will continue to be on our short list of date night restaurants. read more

The restaurant was too loud. My pizza was too salty. The pizza was very thin and much thinner than when we had been there before. And I asked for black olives on my pizza, but kalamata olives were on my pizza instead. I'm not supposed to eat kalamata olives due to the vinegar. And lastly, for a 12-in pizza, drinking water, with tax and tip it came to $32 and change. We may never go back. read more

My friend and I came here on Friday night. We arrived a little late and waited around 40 minutes for a table. Once we were seated things moved pretty fast. We both signed up for the rewards before coming. When you sign up you get a free salad or starter for your first visit and a free pizza for your birthday after your first visit. I got the Mediterranean salad and a 12" pepperoni pizza. Both were really good. Prices were decent, except we felt the alcohol was a little more expensive than other places. I would definitely go back. I enjoyed the atmosphere, except it was freezing cold inside- so I'd ask for outside next time. read more

Finally tried this spot for dinner on a Friday night, and gotta warn you about the wait, but alas it was Friday. Seems once you get a table things run smoothly though. Our server was great and quickly picked up that we knew what we wanted and weren't in the mood to wait much longer. My friend told me earlier that Grimaldi's has a rewards program which includes a free salad or appetizer (1 per check), so we both got something since we were paying separately. I got the bruschetta which allowed me to choose from 4 types so I got the tomato basil, ricotta, and the mushroom one, they were all tasty and the bread was fresh and not too toasted so it was easy to bite into. I also got a 12" margherita, which unfortunately spent an extra minute in the oven, so the basil was a bit charred and some parts seemed overcooked, but to be fair with artisanal pizzas this can happen, and the sauce and cheese were very good so I would just get a different one next time. In all it was a great experience once we sat down, I would just plan ahead next time and put my name on the list earlier, and just go shopping at one of the many neighboring stores. read more

We were fortunate enough to be invited to a pre-opening event to try out the food here. Honestly, genuinely, you're in for a treat if you like thinner crust! In the old Mezza Luna location in between 5 Guys and Another Broken Egg, you'll find this new pizza joint. They've done a great job renovating the space. It's a nice balance between homey/comfy/accessible while also feeling a touch upscale! Perfect for a low key date night or maybe a girl group meet up for book club or something. The menu is fairly simple: a couple of classic Italian appetizers (caprese, bruschetta, etc), salads, pizza, and desserts, to include cheesecake and cannolis. Their pizza comes one of three ways: traditional red sauce, pesto, or a white pizza, which is no sauce and some extra cheese. Fun fact: you can add ANY of the numerous pizza toppings to a salad to build your own salad to perfection if you're not looking for pizza as an entree. We split a large Caesar salad, a 1/2 pepperoni and other half pepperoni and mushroom pizza, and a slice of cheesecake. The large salad is simply massive and I'd say too much for one person's meal, much less an appetizer. DEFINITELY shareable. They cracked fresh pepper for us. It was bright and refreshing with crunchy croutons. The pizza was the star, as it should be. The crust is fantastic, slightly chewy and slightly crunchy. My favorite part was actually the sauce!! I tend to be pretty particular about sauce, but this stuff was the perfect balance of slightly sweet and slightly herby. The pepperoni they used was smaller, which helped it avoid getting burnt edges and also cut down on the greasiness factor. A large pizza could probably be split between 4, definitely 3 if y'all have large appetites. The cheesecake was a great way to finish the meal. We were told it was made fresh in house. A mixed berry drizzle rounded out a perfectly creamy slice of cheesy deliciousness. Our service was incredibly friendly, took excellent care of us, and stayed on top of everything we could ever possibly need. Lastly, they have a full bar with some yummy sounding beverages available if you're looking for a drink to round out your meal. I'll be returning in the future. Very disappointing tonight. I'm not sure who dropped the ball or where the problem was, but pretty sure that it began with our waitress, who obviously was not capable of handling a large group on her own. A member of the staff mentioned that she didn't think that the orders actually got put in. One of our guests ordered only a Caesar salad and it took an hour and a half for her to get her salad. That's a little bit ridiculous considering that it didn't have to be cooked. When our first guest got her food, it was another 20 minutes before anyone else got their food. Most of us it was an hour and a half to two hours before our food was brought to us. Three different guests of ours finally left before their food was even brought out. The whole thing was a fiasco. Finally, when people who had been there for 15 to 20 minutes were getting their food at the tables behind us, we had to complain. Comping one person's pizza really was not an adequate response to 16 people waiting almost 2 hours For food, especially the ones who ordered salads. Photo shows managers response that the waitress forgot to turn in our orders until we complained two hours later. read more

We went to Grimaldi's for the first time with our kids a few months ago. It was busy but service was still great! They gave my kids pizza dough to play with and even though it took awhile for our pizza to be made, they were occupied the whole time! Pizza was delicious and honestly much better than expected for a chain. We will be back! read more

We had an enjoyable dinner here, and we were there early so there wasn't a long wait--score! By the time we left, it was a madhouse. Kudos to Kyle, our server, who not only made excellent recommendations (that didn't feel pushy or like upsells) but was exceptionally nice and ensured we were having a good time. We started with a Fall special app that included pears, mozzarella, house-baked bread, olives, roasted peppers, and various meats. Was it necessary given that we also were getting a huge pizza? No. Was it tasty? Yes! Minor quibble about underripe pears, but that's not a huge deal to me. We got a (whatever the largest size is) Brooklyn Bridge pizza, and it was also tasty. The thin crust wasn't burnt--as so many are--and I truly enjoyed the flavors. It also came out speedily--we'd barely finished our appetizer--so I think slow service is an issue of timing when it's packed. I appreciated the manager stopping by and inquiring about our food and service, though it wasn't necessary--we were having a great time. Minor beefs: when the door opened, the kitchen looked gross. There was food all over the floor. Additionally, better half got a beer and it was grossly overpriced at $8/can (blaming corporate for that one). Parking is in a lot, vibe was definitely upbeat and staff seemed happy (a rarity!), and I didn't find the prices for everything except alcohol ridiculous...also rare in Jones Valley. read more

I am in here frequently for Door Dash and I have never had to wait for any orders. Everything is ready when we get there. The ingredients on these pizzas are top notch, fresh. The food here looks absolutely amazing. I think it is a great sign that they always have people eating in and picking up orders. Repeat customers are a great indication of excellent food. Great vibes, great service, BUT just ok food. This place has a cool vibe inside and out with cool black and white pictures on the wall. The lights were made with bottles and the tables had the typical red/white checkered table clothes. There is plenty of parking and seating with an outside seating area. The menu was just big enough with plenty of drinks and alcohol libations to choose from. The bathrooms are individual gender neutral, and handicap accessible with changing tables in each (we love this)! Our waitress was excellent and very attentive. We ordered drinks, two pizzas, a calzone, and ended with a trio dessert. The pizza was just ok. The crust was typical stone cooked with minor charring. The red sauce was almost nonexistent and the meatballs were overpowering. The calzone we ordered with meatballs, pepperoni, and ham was nothing special. With every bite you just tasted a mouth full of ricotta cheese, which was also all you tasted. I do have to say, we finished with the dessert trio which saved the day! The good - great vibes, great service, and great dessert with no wait for a table. The bad - just ok pizza (much better options in Huntsville), we were there TWO hours which included an hour wait time for our food. If you are in Huntsville and want a cool place to relax after a hard day with drinks and an outside area, try them out. If you are looking for good pizza maybe try someplace else. read more
