Though I ADORE this place; I came in tonight to grab a quick bowl for takeout while my kids food was being prepared a few doors down. As usual the service was lovely BUT when it came to payment, the girl told me it was cash only because the system had been down all day. I certainly understand tech issues, but I should have been told when she started my order. I didn't have time to get cash and it breaks my heart that all that I ordered went to waste! There were 2 simple options, give me the information at the start of my order or COMP the order because of failed communication and put it on my account! I had Oke Poke at Angels Stadium while I was working that day and it made me so happy that I took photos of the tuna and seaweed. Other than eating burgers and fries all day long, Oke Poke was a healthier option. It was convenient and the cooks were greatly appreciated that day. This USED to be my favorite poke place and I will not be going anymore. I can see they have a lot of new staff so I don't know who to blame but I have been going for many years. The portions they used to give used to fill up the entire bowl and it used to be hard for me to mix which is a good thing. Now these employees don't even fill the whole scoop AND THE SCOOPER IS EXTREMELY SMALL. They always had the same scooper but the employees were not doing justice today. Can I please have some salmon with my rice please, I THINK this is a poke place IM NOT EVEN SURE ANYMORE. Also not to mention a previous time, the worker was on a personal phone call while doing my order and ringing me up without a mask. The poke here is better than the place down the street. I normally enjoy getting my poke bowls from here. The only complaint I have is that they mixed the seaweed salad and crab salad together along with the fish and sauces without even asking me if I wanted it done that way. In the past they would put the salads on the side (just like all other poke places do) so I'm not sure why protocol has changed? Now that the salads are mixed in it takes away from the taste of the poke. I'll make sure to let them know the next time that I'd like the salads on the side. read more

Walked in during lunch time, around 1:00 pm not busy at all. The people working here were great, very generous! Which is a must in a place like this lol the quality of the fish was good as well as the freshness of the salad. Price was good around 10$ for three scoops. I asked for extra spicy mayo drizzled over top :) which gave it the perfect kick! Also my exact order was 3 scoops (2 salmon, 1 spicy tuna) mixed with spicy mayo and teriyaki sauce, with half rice half salad as my base. read more

Food is always great, but the staff never washes their hands. They wear the same gloves to do your checkout then just toss them and grab a new pair without washing or they'll put a loose pair on top of another pair and only swap the top pair between customers (while handling money). Management needs to retrain on proper hand washing procedures, especially handing raw foods. read more

I hate to say it.m, but every time I come here I leave disappointed. Their customer service is awful, the employees always have air pods in or some other type of headphones. And see often times on the phone speaking to somebody. I have tried this place on 3 different occasions trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. 1st time I went their card machine wasn't working so I left to get cash and came back. When I walked in the employee said our card reader doesn't work and stepped back into the kitchen, I raised my voice and said yes I know as the other guys already told me that so I got cash and came back. read more

This place is new on my side of town,I came Hungary. I had the Bailey Bowl. I still was able to add extra ingredients which was pretty cool at no extra cost. My bowl was super delicious and light. The first time I tried this place it was amazing and I had decided it would be my new go-to. Today the bowl was not as good. I ordered one sauce and the bowl was just drenched in it. Granted, I did get salad instead of rice which means it didn't soak up as well, but then the fish just ended up tasting completely like sauce and the salad also got kinda soggy. I asked for multiple toppings including sweet onions and sprouts and when I got home I discovered those were missing. Nobody gave me any indication that they were out of those ingredients when I picked my order up. They also gave a much smaller portion of avocado this time (avocado is expensive though so that's understandable). TLDR; All in all, I would come back again and give this place another shot. Hopefully this time was just a fluke and it'll be more consistent next time. read more

I have been here so many times and I love it! The employees are always so kind and never fail to impress me with their unique flavors and fresh seafood. The only thing I don't recommend from this place would be pineapple flavored coconut water. It's not their fault but they didnt have original flavor. Was in today at around 3pm and the female server was so not fit to be in customer service work. She had a terrible attitude and acted as if she was forced to work there. If it hadnt been for her I would've given it 5 stars. Food was tasty, portion size was reasonable for the price and avocado was free, unlike many places that charge extra for avocado. I'm surprised I'm not sick and tired of all these new Poke spots opening up left and right, thinking they're Starbucks or something. This placed opened up near work and I love it! They have several ACTUAL poke (Hawaiian poke) that you can make with your meal. I tried one and I loved it! Their tuna was very good. Their marinate reminded me of my trip to the islands where poke originated. Side note, their rice was really great too! It wasn't mushy or over cooked. Not the best poke. Possibly a reflection of the lower prices they charge here vs other build your own pike places. Got salmon and spicy tuna and thought it tasted very fishy. This my go to poke spot. Never have I waited longer then 2-3 minutes to be served. The fish is always fresh and the employees are very generous with their servings. I live that is is conveniently locates by the gym and I feel like I can get a healthy meal after a workout. The Hawaiian salmon is always good and the spicy tuna has the right amount of kick to kit. My husband was a big fan of Oke Poke. He wanted to go several times a week for a large bowl and he enjoyed the reward system. I felt the fish was chopped too large and didn't taste fresh. I would usually get a stomachache from the fish and would get a single scoop and not even eat all the fish for fear I would get really sick. However we both enjoyed the customer service from one specific male employee and the fresh sides and sauces. That employee must have left because we haven't seen him for months and the other employees are very skimpy on portions, don't listen and need repetitive instructions on what we want and as another reviewer mentioned seem very distracted. The last 4 times we went the service was poor, they ran out of ingredients, the fish quality was terrible as were the cuts and lastly the portions of all other ingredients were tiny. We will no longer be going to Oke Poke unfortunately which is sad because we prefer to support local businesses. read more

Everything here is fresh and great quality. I came on a Saturday around 6 surprisingly there was no wait and someone was there to take my order. They have a build your own bowl option with 3 scoops or 5 scoops. The servings are huge and definitely worth the price. This will be my new go to poke place! Four of us walked in; 12 hours later four of us had food poisoning. The fish was looking a little grey and not very fresh so I opted for their new beef bowl which was pretty tasty. (I know don't order beef at a seafood restaurant, etc.) Everything seemed great and the taste was excellent. Others in my party opted for the fish and we all loved the selection and taste. So happy a poke place opened here and is so close to home. I've been eyeing their location like a hawk waiting for it to open and it finally did! I've been to their Chino Hills location, where I think was the first time I ever had poke. The fish is fresh and the customer service was beyond my expectations. Justin helped me and he was so nice. He gave me a good portion of everything including the fish and they even let you sample the sauces so you know which one to try. They don't have a limit on sauces (like some other places) and they don't charge extra for avocado, ever (which is so rare with poke places these days) I loved my bowl, but I think the onions were a little off. I usually drown my bowl in onion and this time it had a bitter taste to it. Everything else was amazing and I can't wait to try their other sauces during my next visit. read more

I love fresh poke, had high hopes for this local little place, but I was sadly disappointed. First...I do not understand why the fresh fish and toppings are completely exposed to the open air which means hair, flies, dust etc... :( Unfortunately, I thought the fish was not kept cold enough and seemed mushy and I did not care for mine at all. These guys give an adequate amount of fish for the price. their topping selection is above average and they very generous with the toppings and choices so you feel you are getting your money's worth, and the tastes that are added complement, not overwhelm the seafood.
