Food was great! Ordered a chimichanga and loved it. Staff was super friendly. Only downside was the security guard was really odd and made the atmosphere very uncomfortable . First, he told me to make sure my mask covered my nose when it was completely covering my nose, and mouth, and was well secured above my nostrils. At this point I was like okay whatever, he's doing his job. Then, I was waiting for my meal by the counter and he decided to stand by me and wave a flashlight in front of me. I was confused, as he didn't say a word to me and continued to stand uncomfortably close behind me. As soon as I grabbed my meal from the cashier, he returned to the front of the store. After all this, I was really uncomfortable sitting back down. While we were eating, an employee was asking repeatedly this distracted group in line to move, but all of a sudden he aggressively stormed toward them as if in an attempt to "de-escalate," but honestly he was the one that needed to be de-escalated. Nothing bad was happening and he made it seem like a fight was about to break out. It was overall very uncomfortable to be in the building so my friend and I decided to go. I love gringos locos! I used to think it was because the only time I ate it was 3 AM after a night in the clubs, downtown. But since this location opened at UCF I frequent it often. The food is good and fresh. There is something for every diet too! Just get creative. Michael, the manager, is always very friendly and just has great customer service overall. Gringos has the best tacos in Orlando. The double Ds are magical. Soft tortilla with a little butter and salt, delicious white queso and a crunchy taco. Could life be any better? All the meat fillings are great but you're missing out unless you get the beef. It's got incredible flavor and the slightest sweetness to it. They USED to have great nachos here, the best. I go today, and they literally just put chips and shredded NON-MELTED cheese on the nachos. Came in at 6pm on a Friday. Coincidentally, during happy hour so there was a line. Ordered soft and hard tacos. The hard taco was decent but the soft taco crumbled through my hands. It doesn't hold very well. Ended up using a fork. Also, it says free chips and salsa with purchase but I didn't get mine. When I asked, they said they were out. If it's advertised on the menu they should be prepared for it when it's busy. Plus, how do you run out and why aren't you making more? They have the tortilla and fryer in kitchen! It's nonsense. Granted it's a few bucks more for chips and salsa but it's the principle. The worker got frazzled way to easy. So I didn't want to argue with them when it seemed like a losing argument for me. I'm a delivery driver and this place is not good, I haven't tried the food but the service is horrible. No matter what I do, I'm waiting inside the restaurant. I can wait a long time outside and go inside and the food isn't done. When you go in, no matter how many people are back there working the just go slow. Better than Moe's AND Chipotle! My bf and my roommate love coming here! We live in Towers so it comes with a 10% discount, I love how they make it in front of you and it's not just slapping mushy food in a bowl like chipotle. Salsa is fire , white queso is delicious and home made, has a nice assortment of hot sauces, chips are warm, double D tacos are my fav, AND it's open till 3 am! A bit busy because it's new and they are training but same great taste as the downtown location. It's like soul Mexican food, so good you can't stop eating. I arrived at 2:30am and the employees had locked the doors when they were supposed to close at 3am. They denied me and my friends service and stood far away from the door shaking their heads "no" as I tried to get an explanation as to why they closed 30 minutes early. The food is decent, but this encounter really aggravated me. If they wanted to go home early, at least have the common courtesy to tell your customers why it is you are not serving food at 2:30am. I have only ever left positive reviews with businesses but this place is bringing out my inner Karen. Almost every item on my husband and I's $34 order was wrong. We also were missing an item. We ordered online and were told it would be ready at 5. When we got there at 535 we were told they had to make it. At 545 I called the manager and he basically told me they were busy and hung up on me. I called back 5 minutes later and spoke to the manager named Chuck. He said he would send me an e-gift card to compensate. I never got the e-gift card. I will never go back to this location and would recommend you don't either. This gringos wasn't the best. I ordered my burrito to go with no cheese and no sour cream. Halfway through them making it, they asked me again and I said no cheese and no sour cream. I then watched them proceed to pick out the cheese that was already put on my burrito. Instead of just making me a new one. Just so you all know, there was still a significant amount of cheese on my burrito. As someone who is lactose intolerant and can not have cheese, this kinda ruined the whole burrito for me. I checked it before I left then tried to go back up to the register to get it remade but there was a line so I just gave up and left. I always order through DoorDash and I have to say I am amazed with the taste of their food! The tortillas and shells taste so good and I was shocked having an empanada for the first time today! The couple of times I've had it, the food has been less than delicious and much lower quality than the other Gringos locations. I ordered from this location last night to-go and got a double d taco, a beef empanada and chips and queso. The empanada was barely filled with beef and most of it was just the fried outside that was tasteless. The meat in the taco was bland and cold and was definitely overserved, overpowering the soggy lettuce and tomato. The queso was completely cold and no longer soft enough to dip chips in. I really enjoy the food here but I think it's only worth going during slow hours. I went around 11:30 on a Saturday and there was a fair amount of people, not extremely busy but definitely a crowd for a restaurant crew to handle. I ordered a chicken empanada a 2oz guacamole and a 2oz queso to go. I get home and I have a guava empanada, side orders of queso and guacamole (1oz), and no chips. slow service, unprofessional,wrong order I am quite disappointed with this restaurant after going about 3 times now . One time I was waiting at the register for 10 minutes waiting for my cold food that no one could figure out who it belonged to . Last time I went I ordered my tacos all the way with salsa and jalapeños , I had it wrapped to go and when I got home ,opened my order to see that it contained only onions. I called the restaurant and because I couldn't return the manager took my name and number and told me to return another day to have my order remade . Today I stopped in and walked to the register, explained what happened the other day and the girl took my order and passed it down the line. She handled my situation quickly and professionally because in her words the manager was not having a good day and had an attitude all shift, when he came over she explained the situation and that she already took care of it , the the manager said " no he can get his good but I want him to wait in line" , the line that was now wrapping around the restaurant for an order that had already been put in, I asked to speak to him and despite me explaining my situation he kept repeating to me that I needed to go to the end of the line "no skipsies" , how unprofessional! When I asked his name , he laughed and proclaimed " I'm Andrew the general manager so I'm in charge of your problems " . Stopped by while working at a recruiting event next door and decided to stop by during break. Since I don't do well with protein (meats, beans, etc), I decided to do the fish tacos . Although the fish was well cooked and served grilled (healthier option), the green salsa was unappealing, and tasted old. I requested them to add extra cilantro (to make it taste more authentic), but they failed to do so. Perhaps a fresher pico de gallo with a cilantro slaw and creamy garlic sauce would've done the trick. Not a fan; won't order this again nor do I recommended. May give this place another try with another food option before I scratch it off my list. read more

All the men were very nice taking our order and even ringing us up and then this lady, possibly a manager, comes up and starts running her mouth like we were doing something wrong. First off, this is my first time at a Gringos and the food was excellent. However, the service was not. My friends and I arrived at about 8 on Monday and it wasn't busy. Ordering was a bit of a hassle because the people behind the counter didn't seem to know the menu. I ordered two pork Mexican street tacos, which normally comes with onions and cilantro, and I also ordered a side of beans. The guy repeatedly asked me if I was okay with the lettuce, cheese, pico, and sour cream... all of which are not on this particular taco. My friend in front of me wanted beer from the tap and the tap wasn't working. In addition to all of this, the line moved super slow despite it being nearly empty. When I received my tacos, I got three instead of two, and no beans. They tossed the extra taco when I pointed it out ( I thought it might have been someone else's order) and I waited awkwardly next to my friend while they were figuring out what to do about her beer(they ended up selling her a can of another kind of beer)until one of the girls asked me what I needed. In the end, I ended up with what I ordered and it was great. The pork was well seasoned and moist, the cilantro and onion were fresh and everything was nice and hot. Overall, it felt like I wasn't being listened to and in the end I just felt frustrated at the level of communication this Gringos had to offer. The people are probably new at this, so they'll improve as time goes on. That being said, I don't think I'll be back if Qdoba is open and I'm in a hurry. read more
