I bought a clutch and flywheel from this company on ebay. After my mechanic installed the items they did not work. My mechanic is known nationwide and has 22 years experience working on Miatas. He even had a video showing his installation job and how the clutch didn't work. The seller just state that their is no way to validate his claim. This company has a 12 month warranty on their clutches but it is not worth anything. They will not honor it or give a refund. I lost 500.00 in labor costs and160.00 to buy a new clutch. I refuted that, then they tried to blame something else, I refuted that then they tried to blame the hydraulic master cylinder, which my car doesn't even have. I finally had to get my card company involved and finally got my money back. I'm still out paying to send the flywheel back to them, and the other parts of my car that were broken by their defective product. The seller advertises the part as a stage 1 clutch for a Nissan Versa with a 1.8 engine, the part was supposed to come all together but did not, it took another week to receive the missing part. When it finally arrived and installed the gears would not engage when the clutch was depressed, after a day or 2 trying to make it work and they wont take it back since it was past 30 days if they sent right parts together, I wouldn't have an issue...I had to pay to ship it back to get something back from my credit card. read more

Joined up to share some information I found after buying 3 defective clutches on eBay . All advertised to have a 1 year warranty and made in the USA. First 2 clutches were ClutchMax sold by ClutchAmerica next was HTX sold by MegaTuningInc . First friction disc failed within months, friction material was completely shredded off no warning until it happened . Second friction disc failure happened when the center spindle moved independently of the rest of the friction disc. Same issue with the third clutches friction disc. Since the failure happened after 30 days of my purchase ebay refused to step in . The seller and listed manufacturer ignored all messages about the warranty replacement .  After doing some digging I found out they are all the same seller. They buy cheaply made clutch parts overseas.  They trademark brands like ClutchMax HTX GripForce then list them on ebay . They set up these seller pages with 99.9% positive feedback given the appearance of a "trustworthy seller" as ebay put it. ClutchAmerica has 203,000 items sold 99.9% positive feedback and it rated as a top seller. Gregory Kim and Jeong Park run over 15 different  stores on ebay selling the same defective clutches under different brand names. This place is awesome! The staff is great knowledgeable and friendly too. I read all the reviews before I went but still decided to go either way. People are complaining about a lack of lobby or waiting room. It's a warehouse with a will call room. That's not a lobby or waiting room. Will call is usually outside waiting only. This isn't a normal parts store this is a warehouse that lets you buy wholesale. They had what I was looking for. My wife and I drove 4 hrs to come to this place. It was well worth the drive! Clutch kit was junk ended up causing my slave cylinder to go bad, then they refuse to back up the 12 month warranty without pics which is difficult since the clutch is in my Jeep and the Jeep isn't running. Already paid to have it installed and then pay for slave cylinder and installation now it still won't go in gear and throw out bearing knocking. Been coming here a lot, with the economy picking up, more people have money to spend. SSI is the exclusive distributor for the F1 Racing clutches. They also carry other name brand clutches and brake systems such as ACT, Excedy, and DBA. Their service is a 3/5 stars. They don't really have a show room, so you gotta know what you before coming here and buy stuff. Product is also a 3/5 stars. Their F1 Racing product works, but I've used it on my personal car once, and it just did not feel like quality stuff; unlike Excedy and ACT clutches. I purchased a clutch and flywheel kit on eBay through this seller. The item came in with a broken release bearing. And I am missing the flywheel. I reached out to the seller 4 times. Three emails and a phone call with little to no response. I paid for a kit that was missing parts and contained broken parts. This company has yet to reach out to me regarding help with my order and they show little regard for their customers who are already strapped from these hard times. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS BOILER ROOM OPERATION! I have a BMW M3 for which I ordered a stage 2 FX clutch complete with flywheel. Installation instructions are horrible! When installed, clutch immediately seized causing an additional engine pull and many additional hours of labor in order to get the engine and transmission separated. The friction disk welded itself to the input shaft thanks to their non-existent instructions. When I tried to contact this "company", the listed number is never answered, the voicemail is always full, and their 888 number goes immediately to a scam of "claim your $100 Walmart card now!" ... What kind of place is this?!? Emails are returned from different addresses and the only way you actually get an email returned is when you say "I'd like to buy something else". I have purchased a few clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate set ups from these guys for my 1997 bmw 328is and the pressure plate and flywheel are never balanced properly. You must take the flywheel and pressure plate to a machine shop to have them balance it correctly. Customer service is also terrible. They said it was due to improper installation,too much grease was used on input shaft. Funny this is ,that's not why I claim put in a claim. When I pulled the trans,the clip that holds the bearing to the fork was gone. What a waste time . Unfortunately I failed to research Gripforce prior to making a purchase from then on eBay. Lesson learned. Even though the feedback on a seller is fairly good, take the two seconds and also enter the sellers name into Google. Had I done this I would have known just what type of vendor I was dealing with. I purchased what I thought was an Exeddy clutch for my 350z from Gripforce. Only to learn that the parts had been swapped out with cheap knock off components. My brand new clutch with less than 3000km is now slipping so badly the vehicle is almost undrivable. Thankfully, I was able to contact Exeddy directly and they have set things straight. I strongly recommend finding another supplier for any of your clutch / flywheel needs. You never know what these guys are actually going to send out the door. When I purchased the flywheel a year ago they did not include both weights as advertised. Of course they could not just sell me the weight so I had to buy another flywheel. Two weeks later the flywheel shows up with NO weights. They will not answer their phone at all and you cannot leave a message. I have emailed them with no response. I'm not sure which is worse, their clutches or their "customer service." After installing one of their clutches I had nothing but issues. The clutch started out slipping then evolved into an aggressive shudder. I called and spoke to someone named Jay. He didn't seem interested in helping me with my issue, instead he said someone will call you later that can't better assist me. A week went by so I called again. Of course Jay wasn't available and was told they would relay the message and have him call me. This went on for 4 months until they finally told me I had to remove the clutch then send them pictures. After doing what they asked the following day. They said allow 2 weeks for the "manufacture" to review my claim. 6 weeks goes by and still haven't heard anything. I had to buy a replacement clutch kit from my dealership. I couldn't afford for my primary vehicle to be down that long. I then call and talk to Jerry. He doesn't want to help me either. I was placed on hold for well over 15 minutes. He says, "oh well they denied your claim cause you installed it wrong, you put too much grease on the input shaft." I asked for the manufactures info so I could call them myself. He says "they won't be open until Monday, I'll have them call you." Monday was over 2 weeks ago... These guys are horrible. I'm a factory certified technician. No grease was used or even came close to any clutch components. They are more then happy to sell you their something but make up stories the day you have an issues with their "Made in Taiwan" clutch kits.. Stay away from these guys. Bought clutch kit for BMW e-36 for my car and installed per instructions furnished in kit. Clutch never functioned as designed. Had to remove Transmission after 1500 Miles of driving to replace damaged release bearing Guide. Clutch friction disk will not fit if installed as per furnished instructions, which is not apparent until damage occurs. No response to email and or phone calls to company. I do not mind to pay the price for quality parts, which i did and subsequently purchased a clutch kit from a different supplier which fits perfectly: and btw get rid of that junk Chinese pilot bearing in the kit. Paypal requested several times from them to send me a return shipping label which never happened. Let me fill you in on speed solutions int. Im sure they dont mention this when buying any of their F1 racing clutchs, The stage 1 , 2,3,& 4 all have the same presure plates. Yes you heard me correct the same clamp presure on all kits. They buy cheap korean clutch parts spray paint them in the back of there warehouse with blue out of a spray can, And they sell them as racing clutchs.Thats why they come in plain brown boxes. I personaly returned one of there gripforce kits to them. It was a stage 2 kit and the preasure plate was not even as good as a stock one. Why else would they not list any torque or clamp preasure specs on any of there kits. I also got to see there racing department with all the blue spray paint cans and empty boxes of cheap clutch parts. They sent me a defective pressure plate that could not hold the advertised level of horsepower. they said it was good for 291hp, but my engine only put out 250hp. The clutch pressure plate and flywheel were badly burnt and ruined after only 1k miles, and NO racing either. When to them 5 days later for warranty, and they would not honor it.
