Recommended the best one for my vehicle, then purchased for him to install. My existing battery was so corroded that it was difficult to remove the post. Jesus worked at it for, quite frankly, longer than he should have and found the best solution to get it removed. Replaced the post, didnt charge me for it, and installed new battery. The clerk just ignored me as if I was not in the store. When I told him that I would like to purchase two gallons of antifreeze he just told me that he has to pick some parts. There was no body else in the store. This business is a joke. I have been going to this place over the years. This is the worse customer service I have ever seen. Autozone Brea came in clutch today with assisting with checking my battery, identifying the best priced battery with a 3 year warranty attached to it. Stephen K. helped me out this morning and was a life saver. Stephen was good to talk to and interesting to find out that he goes to UTI and wants to become a mechanic. Well he already has the good social skills and engagement with customers down. My KIA Optima battery was dead as can be and Stephen was able to identify the specific battery for me. He reviewed the warranty with me, took his time installing the battery while answering questions I had about the installment, and was able to get my car up and going again. Had a poor customer service experience with the manager. He wasn't wearing his name tag when I came to the counter, but I later figured out it was David (store manager). He passed me off to his coworker who was already helping another customer when the manager himself was just between tasks. He only persisted in passing me off after me asking why he wasn't helping me himself, me knowing it would only take 2 minutes to get me out the door I pressed a little more. After all the coworker who stopped helping another customer came and helped me out which was great. The store manager could easily make a better judgement call on quickly helping me out before passing me off. Seems like he needs more training experience since he is new to the location. read more

Not all autozones are the same. The one in Brea on Lambert is probably the best. The best customer service, fairly well organized and very well lit store front. That's important to me because I can't see very well in the dark sometimes . Most importantly one of the guys that works there his name is Vinnie-- he was very courteous, hospitable and went out of his way to make sure I found what I needed and took it to the nth degree to make sure that I was able to understand how to use my item and install it into my car. read more

I went in to replace a burnt out headlight and he helped me find the right one for my car, recommended an inexpensive grease coating to increase the life of the lightbulb (which I found to be a worthy add on) AND even installed the lightbulb for me right then and there when I asked if they installed the bulbs there as well. Trevor had difficulty in trying to reach the cavity in which the lightbulb sits but he did not give up. At one point he even tried to pull up a how-to video but was ultimately unsuccessful. I have a long drive to my trips starting tomorrow so decided to change my wipers. I purchased wipers right before their closing time. The guy was 100% confident about what he was doing, recommended me wipers for my car (he even came out to see my car to check if it was the right model) After the purchase, I tried to change my wipers in front of the store. It would not fit in. The guy gave me the wrong wipers. He gave me the wrong length as well. So I tried to ask and they were closed. Okay, I get it you are closed but two people saw me waiting outside and just ignored me. All they can say is we are closed sorry come back tomorrow or something. I tried to change wipers and waited for almost 30 mins standing there. I get it if you are closed but you recommend wrong items and you saw me standing there looking for you to say something but ignored me...? You are closed so you don't care? I ordered a battery on autozone.com, didn't need it anymore so I tried to return it to my local store. On my first visit a couple of days ago I spent 30 mins with the staff and assistant manager to try and process the return. Apparently, even with the invoice that came with the battery as well as my e-mail confirmation from autozone with an invoice attached, they were not able to find the order and process the return. After 30 mins of trying, the assistant manager told me to reach out to the website again and get a "transaction number" thats what they need to process the return. I went back today with the e-mail from autozone that included the requested transaction number. Well, guess what, didn't work. Still could not process the refund. The manager was apparently out on a delivery so no one can help. But he was suppose to be back in 5 mins. At this point my 2 year old daughter who is pottying training said Daddy I need to peepee. So I ask if I could use their restroom. They said, the restroom is for employees only. So I asked nicely again, please, its for my 2 year old daughter, not for me. The response was, "Like I said, the restroom is for employees only". One of the staff said your best bet is to drive to CVS. Needless to say by the time I drove to CVS, my daughter had wet herself. In any case, I still can't return my battery because even with all the sales order number, the transaction number, the packing list, the invoice, the store still could not process a simple refund. Thanks for all the help guys! UPDATE 12/1/2020 Got a call from the store manager who apologized and offer to make things right for me. He was sincere and I believed him when he said he will make sure to talk to all the employees on how to properly handle this type of incident in the future. I told him that I also run a business and we also have restrictions for bathroom uses, however, depending on situation, say an elderly person, handicap person, or little kids, we make an exception. It's just common decency. He agrees and said they will have a discussion on it. I hope that they do. I have changed my rating because of the manager. read more
