As Sub Cultured is a walk-up window, there's some outside tables to sit, as well as the option of sitting in your car for that car-hop action. Otherwise, you're so close to the beach and parks that taking your sandwiches for a picnic isn't a bad idea either. If you can't find parking immediately at Sub Cultured, there's a little shopping center just next door since there doesn't seem to be much for street parking outside of their handful of spots. All of that said, I'm a transplant to Jacksonville via the Navy since 2004. One of the biggest cravings that I have from back home is a real authentic sausage, pepper, and onion grinder. I can't even begin to describe to y'all how great Sub Cultured's is with that spicy Italian sausage and perfectly cooked peppers and onions. Add a little spicy brown mustard and you're all set.

The mercury burger was by far my favorite item I had but i was expecting that it would be a little bigger with the price tag but I ain't mad at it, it was still a great burger nonetheless. The cosmic fries were below average and that could stem from the way the fries are made (shoestring style) but even then the seasoning on it was nothing special. The cosmic fries came with a cosmic sauce that was great and was a perfect addition to the burger. The Venus wings were solic with pretty good texture but ridiculously overpriced with a price tag of 13$ for 5 wings which is a scam, if you charging 15$ for wings they gotta be the best wings ever (they weren't). The Buffalo sauce that comes with the wings was definitely hot and the bba and ranch were decent. All in all, it's a solid spot that ! could see myself coming back to for their Mercury burger.

Very impressed with this place. On my recent occasion, I called to order the Peruvian sub, but an unexpected twist ensued with a presentation resembling a Cuban sandwich, albeit sans the bread. Despite the divergence from my initial selection, I found the dish delectable and proceeded to savor it. While I do not adhere to a gluten-free diet, two of my dining companions do, and they extolled the restaurant's gluten-free wraps as being particularly noteworthy. It was very sturdy. One opted for the chicken salad wrap, while the other the veggies sub on the wrap, describing it as truly exceptional. A fellow diner indulged in the Peruvian sliders and expressed satisfaction with their delectable flavors. Notably, during our visit, the restaurant featured a delightful happy hour promotion, offering Southern Swells' "Karate in the Garage" for a mere three dollars, adding a touch of affordability to our experience. Regrettably, it is worth acknowledging that an issue with order accuracy has arisen on both of my prior visits. This most recent visit was marred by a seemingly avoidable lapse in service. Despite a pre-departure request for utensils and a side dish, a subsequent 10-minute walk to the establishment revealed the omission of both. These incidents warrant attention, as they undermine the overall dining experience. This cost it one star but its so good i still gave it 4. In summation, the culinary creations at this establishment are truly exceptional, showcasing a commendable blend of flavors and creativity. The service staff undoubtedly exert themselves, yet the operational challenges manifest in order inaccuracies and the occasional omission of essentials. Great food but be ready to sweat!!! These guys don't know about AC in Florida. Second time here in one week and I thought the first time was a fluke. Unfortunately not :( looking around, every table was filled and wiping their faces with sweat too. I made a comment to the guy next to me and he said "it's always like this."
