We were pretty worried about having our cat groomed for the first time today. But as soon as our groomer, Charles walked in, I knew everything was going to be alright. With a professional demeanor and a smile on his face, he immediately became friendly with our 6 year old cat, Rippy and repeatedly told me how important it was to keep the cat calm and comfortable so he wouldn't become stressed and hurt himself. After a few minutes on the grooming table, Rippy was in heaven. He loved being brushed and having his extra hair shaved off. The entire time Charles was working he was also explaining in detail, the best ways to brush and take care of our cat. As far as professionalism goes, Charles is second to none. Incredibly knowledgeable and caring, he truly loves animals and made it very clear that it wasn't about making money but instead about helping animals!! By far the best in home grooming service and groomer I have ever met!! I would recommend this service to anyone with a cat or dog and highly recommend Charles Walker as there preferred groomer. Stefanie is the best most patient person who happens to have groomed for 13 years we learned so much and will definitely be asking her for the future . I googled home grooming not knowing what to expect and groomit came up, it's been a couple weeks since she groomed my family's cat but she sure is a cat behavioralist and proved it ! Out cat first grooming at 4 years old and we were so nervous be he liked her as soon as she came thru the door , it's was so unusual of Bruce . It was so hard for him to pose for the picture because he went to his favorite hiding place but she tryed thru the cracks in the sliding door way lol. He let her do his nails Stefanie deshedded him gave him a bath made him smell yummy and he was unfazed get this he even allowed the grooming blow dryer ! It was amazing and more then I could of ever expected . This is the best dog grooming experience I have ever had. I have a very temperamental small dog and Charles worked really hard to give him the best cut and grooming experience possible. It looked great and stylish too! Charles was extremely responsive to the needs of my anxious and annoying terrier. In terms of scheduling, the app is great and it's very easy to get an appointment to fit your schedule. Think Uber. The actual appointment is also quick and I think it's the shortest I have ever experienced. They also offer to clean up the mess. Bottom line, this is a no-brainer for everyone who needs a dog groomed. It's especially fantastic if you have a dog that, for whatever reason, a more traditional grooming experience is not feasible. I used the Groomit app for the first time yesterday and I loved it! I have a rescue dog that was abandoned and neglected so being able to have her groomed while in the comfort of her own home was great! Scheduling through the app was quick and easy. They let you know via text when the groomer is on their way and when they arrive. The groomer they sent was Charles Walker he was amazing! Professional, courteous, caring knowledgeable and gentle, my dog was calm and at ease throughout the entire appointment. I will definitely be using this service again and will make sure to request Charles as our groomer. Absolutely am happy with his grooming. Soudeh was super sweet and lovely to Max. The last two photos are of him about two weeks later (this review is long overdue but I just remembered to do it!), his fur cut is SO nice. I love it!! She was extremely nice and patient despite how much he moved or would pull away (he's very hyper and also hates baths and fur cuts and dislikes anyone touching his paws). You can definitely tell how professional and experienced she is. Adored her sweet compliments she'd tell Max. Definitely would recommend anyone to book an appointment, it was so nice watching the process and seeing how nice it came out! I could not be more happy and satisfied about how his cut came out. Lauren came over to groom our senior Westie last night, and we could not be more thrilled with the experience. Our little Count of Monte Cristo has severe chronic skin allergies, and is currently rocking a double ear infection, so he was in no mood to spend a few hours at the groomer's. We booked through Groomit, and Lauren came to the rescue. She was knowledgeable, compassionate, and took the time to learn about County's issues, as well as let him warm up to her. She was not at all fazed by his special situation, and within 1.5 hours, we had a clean, calm, happy dog. I booked my appointment a day before and next day here she was right on time for my service. i have to say i enjoyed the professionalism of the groomer that came to do my fur baby. She explains every little detail that she was going to do, very friendly groomer so calm and you can tell by the way of holding my boy how she enjoys and like what she does. My boy is always nervous when he comes out of the grooming salon, and I'm glad i found groomit. I just adopted a very sweet - but anxious - abandoned 4 yr old Plott Hound from a shelter. I noticed after a few days that she seemed to be very itchy, so I thought a grooming was needed and sort of guessed at the services. Thank God for Christopher! He immediately looked at my doggie and knew exactly what had to be done to relieve her itching. He trimmed her nails and bathed, deshedded, and dried her in 40 minutes. He dealt with her nerves expertly, distracted her, and was her best friend by the time he finished! My dog and I have met a groomer for life! Soudeh has such a way about her -- she charmed my Persian and Himalayan kitties (and me) immediately. As you can imagine with long-haired cats having just moved to a new place, they needed some delicate attention. She was quick and direct, yet gentle and detailed, not giving the cats (or me) too much time to freak out, keeping me involved if she needed to let me know it was going to need to be a full shave or not. A last minute issue at my usual grooming place prompted me to try out this app. I am so glad I did. My groomer was a few minutes late but she messaged through the app so I was aware. It's new york city and trains can sometimes be unpredictable. She arrived a mere 5 minutes after our set time. She took a moment to engage and allow my dog to get comfortable around her before getting started. A few hours later my guy emerged from the grooming room looking handsome and happy! Groomit is so perfect! We requested Shaquana for our two cats because her reviews were good, and those reviews were not a lie. Shaquana was great with our cats. She was gentle, she spoke friendly with them, and she just knew how to handle them. She was also on time! Our cats were so comfortable with her. I highly recommend Groomit for an in home grooming experience for your pets. There's no loud noises around to scare them. There are no distractions. We used Groomit for our 13yo shih tzu/yorkie senior gal. She is getting up there in age and we wanted to try to spare her from spending stressful hours in a cage amongst other dogs. We were paired with Wynter White as our groomer, and we are so happy we were! I like the idea of their app and it's a great concept and idea, everything works smooth and i was able to use Yelp10 to save $10 first time. Meanwhile i had my second appointment with Leonardo Ricardo and i can't be much happier, he is an artist, best groomer we have seen and we have seen many (dog-owner over 25 years). This is my first time using a groomer in home or anywhere else for my dog, Charlotte. Soudeh was incredible! Charlotte adored her and was very well behaved in the process thanks to Soudeh's expertise with the grooming and love of animals. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I rescued a very anxious Shih Tzu who hates to be around other dogs and hates being groomed. Groomit has been a life saver for me. They take such great care and have complete patience with my dog. They are incredibly trained professionals and my dog looks wonderful each time! The app also makes scheduling super easy.
