This is a quiet little gem. If you need a place to study or meet a small study group, this is a good location. I'm kind of hesitant to share because I love that this place isn't super busy when I've been, but they deserve your business. There's 5 small tables, a few window seats, a couch and coffee table, and a larger bench table. They also have free WiFi and a few plugs. They display local artists work on the walls and the place just has a cute vibe. The menu is specialty coffee and tea, so don't come looking for a white mocha (lol). All the flavors and extracts are natural, so no fake syrups! I ordered the Hammered and it had such a nice flavor of macadamia nuts. They also have a small selection of pastries and food. Check them out and show them some love. Support small businesses :)

I've been coming to Groundstack over the past few months to get my caffeine fix. Coffee here tastes way different than Starbucks. May take a bit longer but the quality and flavor is worth the wait. As if this writing, the shop has an app where you can order ahead so it's been a life saver for me in the mornings when I'm running late. Pershing it is my favorite drink and I've just recently tried the Thai tea. It's really good stuff. Chill vibes on the inside and kept nicely clean as well. Add this place to your coffee rotation because you won't regret it.

Groundstack Coffee has a great vibe -- cozy space, nice decor, live-edge wood table, plants everywhere. The staff was genuinely impressive. The guy working asked if it was our first time, and when we said yes, he walked us through everything -- the specialty beans, the menu, all of it. Didn't expect that level of attention at a coffee shop. I got the Ben's Fave (hazelnut and dates) and an almond croissant, both solid. Only two downsides: $8.55 for a coffee is hard to swallow, and the restroom was dirty -- which doesn't fit the premium experience they're clearly going for.

I've tried a few different places for matcha in Stockton, but this has been my favorite. It's more on the expensive side but it's worth the natural ingredients without syrups. I ordered an iced matcha with strawberry, less sweet. Recommend! Also got a lavender matcha, and it was very subtle; didn't need to order less sweet. Also recommend! If you ask them to make the drink in your own container, they will.

Had to try this place since it's 4.7 stars. Interior design is upscale kind of cafe. If you like organic coffee and tea this is the right place for it. Service is very friendly and fast. Loved my peach tea. Just right of sweetness for my taste. Then Ben's Fave is also delightful with its hint of hazelnut flavor. I guess we're coming back again when we're in the area.

The sweetener part is misleading. It's not just nuts and fruits, they use actual sweeteners like monk fruit, brown sugar, etc. I knew there was no way my drink was that sweet from fruit and nuts alone. Service was okay, not the friendliest of barista who took our order. The girl though who called out our drinks was friendly and told us to taste it and if it needed any adjustments. super small iced coffee for the price. inside was calm and not loud. good place to study or catch up with a friend.

Knowing I had to run an errand in Stockton, I did some research on coffee shops prior to landing on Groundstack Coffee. What sold me on coming here was that they use natural ingredients and steer away from artificial flavors. Located close to UOP, they have a small parking lot for several businesses. Late on a weekday morning, parking wasn't an issue the day I visited. Based on what tried, I think the cold brews are the highlight of the menu. While "Hooked on Wilson" was fine, I didn't really taste much lavender. (It was still a good drink though!) The Presidio was very refreshing, and I really enjoyed this drink since I love the taste of mint. Service was great. Upon discovering I was a new customer the menu was explained and recommendations were offered. I sat and drank my coffee for a short while. There were plenty of tables and chairs. As a side note, getting to restroom requires going through a couple doors and turning a few corners. Very glad I stopped by Groundstack! This great coffee place made my trek to Stockton (from Elk Grove) much more enjoyable.

I'm in town for work. Looked up coffee places by the hotel and wanted something local. Eventually settled on Groundstack. I walked in and was immediately greeted by great customer service. They inquired if it was my first time in and proceeded to breakdown their process (aeropress) to me. Asked me for my typical preferred drink and then recommended their "version". I gave it a shot and simply , wow. DELICIOUS coffee. This place deserves 10 stars.

I was looking to pick up coffee around Stockton and came across Groundstack Coffee. After reading impressive reviews on Yelp, decided to give it a try. Parking was super easy to find outside the coffee shop. It turned out to be one of the best coffees I have had - great cafe, chatted with the owner who recommended a few options. Tried Hanmered, and wow! Very impressive drink with macadamia and coconut flakes. The uniqueness is the french press is made fresh with flavors from real nuts, spices etc - you can actually taste it vs the syrups with loads of sugar. The cafe had good seating to get some work done. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back.

EXCELLENT! I was traveling for a work event and looked up coffee shops in the area to visit while I was there. I decided to try Groundstack and it did not disappoint! Amazing service - very thoughtful/friendly gentleman and I appreciate his drink recommendations. I had the Diablo Mountain and it exceeded my expectations. The coffee had such a great and unique flavor. It didn't taste too sweet and I didn't have to add any sweetener. It was just right! I love that they use natural ingredients and no yucky fake syrups. Nice coffee shop, great surprise. To preface, I'm not a coffee snob, I'm not a reviewer. I was compelled to write this review because of how good this drink was. I got the praline whatever thing on the right side of the menu. I don't remember. It has hints of praline and it was on the bottom third of the right side of the menu. Tastes pretty good. Solid A. Starbucks could never. The way they flavor it is apparently by using real extracts from real ingredients. The drink I had was iced and was praline and nutty. That's always nice. I'm not a sucker for gimmicks like that but whatever they were cooking worked. Take this as a testament that I am not bias because they're all natural or whatever. Purely based on taste is why I would rate this place a 5/5. The menu was medium sized. Enough to have a lot of options. When you go in, just decide if you're in a sweet or bitter mood and go from there. I was helped by the Asian girl. I don't bother to remember names because that's how I am. She was pretty helpful after she saw me analyzing the menu for 3 minutes. Great customer service. Place is a bit cozy so if you were planning to come in a work on your manuscript or whatever, better come early. They also deliver with door dash too. Supporting small businesses is nice so give the place a try. read more

There are very few businesses I will drive more than an hour out to that isn't Hello Kitty themed. This shop is one of them. The cold brew was actually quite delicious. I had this drink called the Sunset, which I'd recommend for a nice hazelnut feel. The panini was also delicious. I liked there was a vegetarian-friendly option. I think what left me awed more was the amount of care Mark had for his customers and the overall Stockton community. read more

If you want healthy coffee with no syrup no artificial sweetener or flavors, Groundstack is the first choice to go to. They specialize with French press and their specialty menu is really customized, all the flavors are natural. Their cold brews are really good. I recommend the sunset, it has chocolatey taste and the fisherman wharf is also my favorite if you want something that is a little bit stronger. They also have herbal teas and panini sandwiches. Groundstack is also pet friendly and good spot for college student to study and hang out. On top of that UOP student gets 10% discount if you show them your student ID card. i've been excited about its opening since i saw the store sign up! boyfriend and i ordered the lands end and fisherman's wharf. we loved both drinks! the cashier (i'm assuming the owner) was so sweet and still tried to have a conversation with us, despite it being busy (they were the only person working). i was surprised that it was so spacious inside and even had a couch. the location is super convenient (esp for UOP students), though the parking is a bit of a struggle (limited parking in front and back). i'm excited to try more drinks and eventually their food. i'm so hopeful about the ultimate long-term success of this business. :) read more

I work remote so I always look for coffee shops to go to for a change of scenery! Decided to go to ground stack and off the bat I love the aesthetic and it was a nice ambiance. I met the owner, mark and he was a gem! Super sweet and kind and I could tell he loves what he does. The shop was dedicated in honor of his late mom and it comes to show how much he loves his shop! Not sure if this review is needed. But by far, my favorite coffee shops in Stockton. The drinks are so amazing and crafted with such love and care, I believe that I've tried almost all of them. Since boycotting Starbucks and Peet's I've tried many small coffee shops in Stockton and Lodi but this has to be far my favorite in Stockton. This place was recommended by my friend who lives in the area. I decided to give the place a try since I needed to meet my cousin who goes to UOP. First, I would like to commend the ambiance of the shop. It was very inviting and it gave a different vibe from the other coffee shops I've been to in the area. This place was very clean, organized, and very orderly in their prep area. I love love the drink I had, I got the Sunset. It was a cold brew but it had these chocolate notes- it was crazy but very good. My cousin got the Hammered and I got to try it. The workers said that it's the most popular in the menu, and it was a very good recommendation so I also recommend this drink! I also do not understand the other people's comments about the pastries. I got a bear claw, and it was outstanding. They said the pastries come fresh every mornings and they deliver from the Bay Area, so they don't make them there at the shop. My cousin got the Piazza panini, and I got the other half. It was very flavorful so this is also worth getting. Overall, I definitely recommend this place, as it stands out from all of the coffee shops I've ever been to! They placed the bars super high for me, so next time, I'll be super picky with the other coffee places I visit. read more

I've given this place quite a few times. Most of the time the staff isn't friendly, like a bunch of teen girls just wanting to cash their check. One time they even forgot my order and didn't even have the milk i requested after waiting 15 mins. Then when i was asked if another option was okay i told them no & the one girl that wears glasses and has colored eyes made a smirk noise under her breath. The matcha is very bad. Groundstack Coffee is a fantastic spot for coffee lovers! The warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff make it an ideal place. The coffee is exceptional--smooth, rich, and clearly crafted with care. Whether it's a classic coffee or one of their creative specialty drinks, everything is top-notch. I liked how when I walked in they asked if I had any questions about their menu. A plus! It's a great spot to hang out or get some work done in a calm and cozy environment.
