Delicious Thanksgiving Dinner with my family. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because we had to wait for an hour to get our table. Our reservation was for 6pm and we were seated at 7pm. It's understandable as it was thanksgiving and they were very busy. We were offered a high top table able 45 mins into our wait but it was right at the entrance of the restaurant and not my idea of a thanksgiving meal. We were ok waiting for a standard table, it only turned out to be an extra 15 mins and it was totally worth it. They sat us in the main dinning room and although it was bustling with talk and servers, it was delightful. The meal was delicious from the appetizers, to the entree, side dishes, & lastly the desserts. Two of our party members even chose the prime rib instead of the turkey and they finished the plates clean! My favorite sides were the green beans and the Brussels sprouts, oh and the sweet potatoes with pecans. The star of the show for me was the pumpkin pie, it was to die for! Best pumpkin pie EVER! We had a delicious meal and we were very thankful we dined there for Thanksgiving.

Fine dining and even finer staff. Dan and his culinary team are amazing. The Ceasar Salad, the Osso Bucco, and then the birthday desert for my wife, all were over the top. Can't wait to come back.

"Our pork chop is what brings people back" -- they didn't mention it is served luke warm!!! Very nice atmosphere. Extensive wine list. The Crudo tuna appetizer was fantastic. My wife enjoyed her tenderloin. It was cooked perfectly. I was highly disappointed with the pork chop. It was served warm. I sent it back and they merely reheated it and brought it back again. Second time around, it was barely warmer than the first. At this point, I was hungry and didn't want to wait or fuss any longer. They took care of a round of drinks. I think they should've remade the pork chop rather than reheating it and bringing it back again. Very disappointing evening

So wonderful! If you're in the area, you have to stop here! We're on our honeymoon and they brought us 2 glasses of bubbly to start. The wine and cocktail list is expansive and impressive. The food: Get the corn soup! I know what you're thinking, it's corn soup. However, it is SO delicious! The lobster mascarpone is also amazing and a must get! For dinner we ordered the gnocchi and beef tenderloin and both were incredibly decadent and delicious--especially the potatoes on the tenderloin. To end the night we ordered the apple bread pudding with salted caramel ice cream (yum!) and a carajlllo from our lovely friends across the room. Both were amazing!

Highlights: * 5 stars for the beautiful Mountain Views, ambience and a couple of dishes * Many misses on food, some like the Pork Belly totally inedible * Overly rich and greasy good * Resting on their laurels from the past * Alka Seltzer a Prerequisite * Some untrained new staff * Extensive Wine list Walking into Grouse Mountain Grill we had high expectations. We were seated in front of large floor to ceiling French Doors with a beautiful Mountain View. We were served delicious bread and anticipated a memorable culinary experience. Being serious foodies we decided to create our own seven course tasting menu using the left side of the menu to get a feel for what Grouse could do. They failed, big time. We started with two half bottles of wine, a Champagne and a Meritage. Our female Sommelier who seemed knowledgeable was not at all friendly or charming, her only comment to us was "are you the type of people who save corks or can I take them?". No problem. Our server, Rachael, was nice, friendly, charming, her husband is a Chef, but she was either brand new at the restaurant or seriously untrained as she could not describe any of the dishes to us, had not tasted most if not any of them and had to keep asking a more senior server about any questions we had about the food. We started with tater tots, a recommended dish. Yes, these were tater tots just like you serve to kids, just fried potato comfort food, not something for fine dining. Next we had the corp soup. This dish was successful, very tasty, basically because it is loaded with cream and butter, what's not to like. The Apple Beet salad was ok. It went downhill from there. My partner did not like the Lobster Mascarpone at all, I found it ok but too heavy, have your cholesterol medication handy. Then we were served a complete disaster, the Pork Belly. Told it was crispy it was just a few pieces of squirmy fat, completely inedible, we left it on our plate, our server didn't seem to care even though we mentioned it was inedible. The lamb meatballs were not enjoyable as well. Our seventh course, and we wish we stopped earlier was the Duck Leg Confit. It was overwhelmingly greasy, and again we left most of it. I don't know who the current chef is, there is zero mention on the website or anywhere online, perhaps they don't have one. Grouse has a lot of accolades and good reviews but if you're a foodie, under the current kitchen and management, there are far better choices for a meal in Beaver Creek/Vail. Splendido, Mirabelle and Sweet Basil are excellent, LaTour is very good, Matuuhisa for Japanese is very good. I hope that Grouse gets their act together because it is a shame to service such subpar food in such a beautiful setting.

Had an unbelievably good dinner at Grouse Mountain! Definitely recommend making a reservation in advance if you're planning on going over a weekend in peak season. Loved the live music & upscale (but cozy) atmosphere. Our waitress did not steer us wrong, so ask for staff recommendations!

This is the fourth time visiting and as always the food/service/everything was spectacular. Our server, Duffy, guided us on a culinary journey. The highlights were Cacio de Pepe paired with a glass of CHEV pinot noir and the Scottish Salmon (to die for). Love this place. It's really that good.

This place is absolutely incredible. From their focaccia bread, to the Brussel sprouts, to the finale of the by fat best bone-in pork chop I have ever experienced in my life. This piece of pork was tender, juicy, great portion sized and beautifully crusted with a pretzel topping. Do not hesitate to try the pork chop. You will not be disappointed. I honestly could not imagine the piece of pork being cooked better nor would I ever expect that I could have the same satisfaction. Absolutely amazing meal.

Is the good for kids ages 12 and 11 who like steak and chicken?

Yes, they have plenty of meat options on the menu, and it saw several pre-teen children dining with their parents when we were there.

My two stars go to the food and the view. The service was unfortunately abysmal tonight…read more We dined here tonight as hotel guests with two under two. We were seated at a table that already had a high chair, but it had pooled water which also had soaked the straps. I wiped up the water as best I could, but the straps were going to remain soaked for a long time. Upon asking our waiter for a new high chair, he said he would dry it off- we said the straps were soaked and he said not to worry about it, that he did this all the time. Well he dried off the chair and then covered the straps with a napkin. Sir, we needed the straps to strap our girl in! Anyway... My husband and I ordered the exact same thing- the chopped salad with salmon. Mine arrived with our daughter's pizza, and we asked if his salad was coming, and the waiter who dropped off the food said if we ordered it, yes. Umm ok. As I'm halfway through my salad, our original waiter checks in and says it should be coming. I'm now done with my salad and my toddler is done with her pizza. Waiter returns and says he's going to check with the kitchen. At this point, it's the kiddos' bedtime, so we ask them to make it to-go. Eventually the salad and the check arrive. Nothing is comped and no apologies are given. No excuses have been delivered... short staffed? Rough night? We get it! We didn't receive any reason for the delay. This could have gone SO differently if there was better communication. Upon receipt of the check, I asked if anything could be comped as my husband didn't get to eat. The waiter ended up comping his meal. I shouldn't have had to ask. So, eat, enjoy the view, anticipate poor service.
