Service is terrible.....if you are not a regular customer then it is very unlikely you will become one. Bartender greeted me by "I'll be right with you", which works for me. After putting in a n order for a couple at the bar and refilling a beer for a guy 3 stools down from me, he walked to the kitchen. When he came back he refilled HIS Mt. Dew and proceeded to the end of the bar to chat it up with the couple previously mentioned, all the while never dropping off a menu or asking what I wanted to drink. The kicker..... I asked him if he could get me a menu and he said "I'm pretty busy, I'll take care of you in a minute". Of course this was when he was leaning against the bar drinking his Mt. Dew. Tacos are creative and usually pretty good. We've been here many times and I can say that, in my experience, hired staff are usually on point with customer service. However, every time we've been in when the owners wife is running the show, different story..... I've never known a server/bar tender to work so hard at ignoring customers and avoiding eye contact. She of all people should be greeting us and thanking us for coming in! Adding to the non existent service from her, the bar was full of screaming little kids running around, one of them appearing to be the owners kid after she grabbed his face to shut him up for a second. If I wanted to hear kids and their video games, I'd go to Chuck e cheese. Get him some head phones, or beter yet a babysitter while you're working so hard at providong terrible service! I'll pass on this place from now on and make tacos at home. read more

It seems like a lot of people like the food here, so I'm kind of wondering what I did wrong... I'm a big fan of Mexican food (the real stuff) and beer... and places I can ride my bike to easily so on one of my days off I made the trek over to G's to see what was up. I was working on projects around the house and worked up quite an appetite so I headed over to pick up something to-go. I ordered at the bar and the bartender was pretty spot on with her service. She had me pegged as someone looking for to-go food and brought me over a menu promptly. I wanted something with some substance so I went for the veggie burrito and was pleased to hear the green chili was also vegetarian so, on the bartender's suggestion I opted to have my burrito smothered. The way the food was packaged to go was great and showed great care... now... if the auality of service and care only extended to the food as well I would be writing a favorable review but I don't think I have ever had a more disgusting attempt at mexican food in my life. It was like what someone from Minnesota who thinks Ricky Ricardo from The I Love Lucy show is Mexican would imagine Mexican food tasting like. My (NINE DOLLAR) vegetarian burrito consisted of completely raw fajita mix, unseasoned black beans, and like 45%+ was flavorless fluffy Sysco food service "spanish rice" wrapped in a tortilla. The green chili was apparently made for someone who is afraid of not just heat but flavor, because all I could taste was a lukewarm roux with what seemed like those mild Del Monte canned diced chilis you get in the 'ethnic foods' aisle in King Soopers. All in all I'm super disappointed, as I had high hopes for this place up until I actually ate the food, now I doubt I'll ever be back unless someone brings me (and I know to NEVER order the veggie burrito again). The vegetarian option definitely seemed like a token way to appease people like me that don't eat meat, but it's extremely possible to make a veggie burrito that doesn't make me sad that it exists - I know because as a lifelong vegetarian I make them all the time! Heck, if the owner needs help in putting together some vegetarian options that aren't absolutely disgusting I would be happy to whip some tasty vegetarian mexican food for them to try to prove that not all vegetarians (or any, really) like to eat flavorless, undercooked vegetable piles in a soggy tortilla. Until there's some veggie options with flavor, I can't see myself willingly going back... not even for cheap beer :( ALSO: I can't stop cracking up at the other reviews calling this place a "dive bar". I mean, maybe if you've never left Westminster you might think this is what dive bars are like, but I can come up with an easy half dozen actual dive bars in the area (12 Volt, Jake's Roadhouse, Rear Inn, Balloon Inn, Bar Bar... Hell, Sweetwater Station even gets more dive bar points than this place) - it was way too light inside, not enough day drunks at the bar (it was almost 3PM!), hardly any neon / drink special ads, entirely too clean, not enough mystery stains, THEY SELL GOOD BEER, no bizarre carpet, jukebox / loud music absent, patrons don't smell like ashtrays and sadness, none of the chair I saw were broken or upholstered in vinyl & brass, etc. - I think the term everyone is looking for is "gringo cantina", cause a dive bar this aint. You could probably bring your kids here. You don't do that at dive bars. read more

The place seemed like it has the potential to be a cool hang-out spot. I met a few friends there for some hanging out. Unfortunately, I also ordered a burrito. Over $7 for a burrito is a bit too much. Especially so when not much inside of it seems as if it's homemade. The rice seemed to be the type you get precooked frozen in a bag. The green chili made me think of the pre-made frozen, bagged chili we used back when I used to work at the Stock Show. And for the money, it wasn't nearly big enough. If I came back to this place, it would only be to get something to drink and hang out with friends. read more

The service here is still solid and the food seems to be the same as before when I gave it 5, but it just doesn't hit the spot anymore. The burritos seem off for some reason. Went in for the breakfast burritos a while back. Most definately one of the worst I have had. These kids need to take a trip to SoCal and have a few real samples of mexican food if they want to call what they serve Mexican food. I ordered 6 tacos for takeout and arrived shortly before the time it said they would be ready. I waited 45 minutes for my food. That is not really acceptable. The tacos were fine but certainly not worth the wait. I would be willing to give them another shot, hopefully it does not typically take that long. read more

We have enjoyed G's many times in the last 3 years. Consistantly great in food and service. When they say XHOT sauce they mean it! Tacos are just the start. Tasty margaritas and local brews. Clean and organized. Well priced. The green chili rocks! We will return again and again! read more

Awesome tacos but terrible customer service! I don't normally write reviews but I did tonight. We walked in the restaurant and were immediately our presence was ignored even though it was not busy at all. This continued for our entire meal. We asked for refills which we never got and it took forever to get our tacos. Our waiter seemed put out by having to serve us and get our bill after being done with dinner for over 20 minutes and asking for the bill. Good thing they have excellent tacos because their service sucks! read more

G's has a new menu.... while I'm partial to the tacos and the taco salad, the new menu is a welcome change. New varieties include tequila lime shrimp, bourbon chicken, carne asada, green chile pork chops, bbq beef haystack and a variety of tortas. We had the carne asada & the bbq beef haystack. The carne asada is an average piece of steak marinated in beer & lime and other seasonings.... grilled & topped with green chile, onions, roasted jalapeno & rice n beans. I wasn't expecting any $20 steak, so it was a bit on the chewy side, but definitely flavorful. If you don't like your steak pink, then ask them to cook it to your liking. Mine was plenty pink, but that made it more tender for sure. The roasted jalapeno went well with it and gave a nice kick to the dish. The only drawback was that the rice & beans were on the chilly side... perhaps they sat for a little bit while the rest of the dish was being prepared. The bbq beef haystack seemed like the same cut of beef, but cut into strips and set on top of a pile of fries and a good covering of spicy bbq sauce. The bbq sauce is mixed with the G's extra hot, so take note if you like spicy bbq sauce! G's brings in a good crowd for happy hours and game days... sit at the bar and chat it up with the bartender and other locals, have a shot. It always makes for an interesting afternoon. read more

In the never ending search for non chain places to get good grub this local place hits the spot. I know this is a burrito place and the burritos are always epic but take an inside tip and try out the tacos. They come in fresh soft corn tortillas and are excellent! Tall beers are a good deal and if you're brave enough try G's tea. Guaranteed to knock you on your butt. The plastic bowls do seem a little out of place but what better way to hold all that green chili. With a couple more tvs this place could be a great spot to watch football or hockey all season. read more

Best taco deal in town, and awesome tasting tacos! $8 for 4 tacos! Margaritas were awesome too, and only $5! I had the Pick 4 meal with 2 Steak and Avocado Tacos and 2 Steak and Jalapeno Tacos, and I downed two house margaritas. The chips and salsa were the best I've had in town also. This is my new favorite Taco spot! I'm from Texas, and I constantly crave good steak tacos and seriously hot salsa. Finally a place where I can get that delicious mouth burn and wash it down with a strong margarita! Sold. Thank you, G's! read more

Nice little sports bar in Westminster! Stopped by as my friend and I spotted the place across the way from King Soopers. Took a gamble and stopped in for lunch. Payoff! This place is small, has a more intimate atmosphere than C.B. Potts and the like, and is definitely a watering hole as opposed to a big chain/sports bar. And I like it quite a bit more than the larger franchise establishments, or any of the bars around Boulder! I got a Dale's Pale and 4 White Trash Tacos. Delicious! I'll definitely be back when I go to hang out at my friend's place around the corner by Stanley Lake. My only "complaint?" Beer selection is pretty limited and as such, definitely fits the local watering hole vibe - I just wish they had a little larger selection of bottles and cans. I eat here often as it is in walking distance. I love the Train Wreck breakfast burrito; the Colorado is my second choice. I tried the G's burrito last week and found it quite spicy (BBQ sauce). If you like hot spicy this is it for you. The chile rellanos are quite good. Whatever you get, get it smothered with the green chile. Guacamole is tasty much better than the salsa. read more

I have been craving the Carnitas Burrito for over a week now and am dying to get over to Westminster this weekend to get my fix! The pulled pork was so tender, with melted cheese and beans. Then they grill the tortilla and top with green chili! So yummy! The best part is that they don't skimp on the meat, seems like other places try to save $ by desguising the size of the burrito by filling it with mostly rice. G's has full flavor and lots of meat, which I love. My husband loves the "G burrito" It is sweet and spicy, we have never had anything quite like this! It is a spicy BBQ type sauce with chicken and rice. You will need a tall glass or water with this one! Or Beer, they serve Blue Moon too! Thank you G's!! I no longer have to suffer through the cafateria style line at Chipotle or Qdoba and deal with the snotty high school workers slopping canned ingredients into my generic buritto! I love that your ingredients are fresh and that you have secret family recepies for your sauces! Great place to hang out and sit at the bar - love how the bar is a little hight than usual too, I can just shovel the grenn chili into my mouth with no spills! If we go with the kids, there is plenty of room for them to run around and play while we relax and eat. I am starving now! read more

This is your typical dive bar but with a lot better food. The service has always been fun and friendly. They have great happy hour- great to come after work with a bunch of co workers. Their white trash tacos are bomb and my friends have said their vegetarian tacos are always good! Their queso is a good appetizer along with their fries! read more

I give this place 5 stars for being two great places in one: a laid back bar with good beer on tap, and the best damn burrito joint in Westminster. I go here a few times a month, and I'm never disappointed. The staff is friendly, and the bar goes from sleepy lunch spot to live music and lively crowd on Friday nights. I only go there as a last resort. 9 out of 10 times my simple order is always wrong. Most recently not only was it wrong but the chips had dried salsa on them looked like it was someone's half eaten order as the guacamole was half eaten and brown in the to go container, soggy tacos that fell apart and a part of a soggy chip found in the salsa container. Disgusting! The only decent employee there is Patrick, the owners are SO RUDE and do not acknowledge customers walking in or out & oddly give the patrons dirty looks...??? We catered the 10 person taco bar from the Broomfield location. We enjoyed the chicken, tortillas, the chips and salsa were great.overall, my company enjoyed the food. It seemed fresh and was yummy. Thank you G's taco bar for making my bbq party a hit!! The guests enjoyed it very much and if I have another taco bar, I will order from you again! If you live nearby and you haven't checked this place out- you really should. Very tasty Mexican food- burritos, tacos, quesadillas and so on. They make their salsas from scratch and they are so good. The G's special hot sauce is made with habaneros and it has a great flavor and massive heat. Although the food is great, it is a bar and the service can be slow so don't go if you are in a rush. read more

This place is such a hidden gem. We have been eating at G's for almost a year now, and it's honestly the best food around. We're really lucky to live only a couple minutes away. Not only is the atmosphere really inviting and comfortable, but the menu is always full of great choices. Their tacos are beyond phenomenal. Everything from the Avocado steak, to the Corona beer battered fish; the Thai chicken to the White trash... All delicious. The breakfast burritos and regular burritos are ridiculously good too.
