Awful service. Don't bother. Our server never showed up, never checked in on us and didn't bother to apologize for the long time it took for our food to arrive (we timed it, over a half hour). All of the other patrons received their food before us although they were all seated after our table. Awful! Terrible! The worst place to go to. Walk up or down main for better options. We pretty much should have just walked out. The owner or manager was helpless. All she did was sip on her drink while seated in a far away booth. Dumb! The food was good, but the service was atrocious. Not once did the server check on us but left us sitting waiting for the check and to go tins. The first time we went to G's the experience was lackluster and so we decided to give the place a second try. On both occasions we went with a group of four people for breakfast. The staff was friendly and the place is nicely decorated, but unfortunately the food had no love. Breakfast is pretty difficult to flub, but the omelets were bland and the home fries tasted stale. I didn't think they had a great cup of coffee either. In fact when we got our coffee it was kind of lukewarm. I can't say there was anything "wrong" with the food but considering all the options in town, I don't think I will go back to G's. i ordered a cheese quesadilla and a soda. the quesadilla came out with some kind of chicken in it which smelled bad after a 20min wait, which is fine but i told the waitress i could not wait any longer for cheese quesadilla to be prepared so i would pay for the soda and leave. the glass of soda..$3.15 what a rip. even though i said i would pay the response should have been dont worry about it, we screwed up your order. There aren't many places that serve breakfast in Warwick. Breakfast at G's was just okay. There were little things that took away from my scoring. I wasn't impressed with the food. I just left G's for the last time. After having what I think was at best a fair breakfast, that wasn't cheap, I had my Warwick Chamber of Commerce Gift Certificate turned down because it was to old. It was 18 months old. I have used these certificates at many locations and given them out on many occasions, it is sad that one vendor is destroying a good thing. I have faith in the Warwick community and the Inkwell accepted immediately. If this is G's faith in our community I am done with G's and so should you! read more

The service was decent but then again it was empty when we went. There were 7 of us. I ordered veal marsala and it was very rubbery. Not very well prepared and bland. Think of Veal Marsala ordered at a truck stop diner. My mother in laws fish and rice was very bad and they bought her a new piece that wasn't better. The rice was cold and gluey. My daughter was the only one that had a decent meal and that was a simple plate of chicken wings with terriaki. I tried them and they were good and meaty. My wife had the crab cakes and they were average. For the price and quality of the food I'd never go back except maybe for wings. Very disappointing for a place right on the main street. read more

My family and I went here for breakfast and I have never been disappointed. I got the pork roll egg and cheese sandwich with french fries. The egg was perfect, where you got just enough yoke but not too much. The service was good too. Everyone in my party enjoined there breakfast. It has a fancy diner feel. Have been to G's for dinner many times. It is also our go to place when other restaurants are too busy during the weekend to seat us and we are too hungry to wait. The food is always good, not typical diner food thankfully as I am not a diner fan. The soups are fantastic, burgers are great and very big, wings are excellent, honestly have never had a bad meal. And you can't beat the price, very reasonable. The waitresses are always very friendly and if there is a wait it is only because the food is cooked fresh so I don't mind waiting at all. In the nice weather there are a few tables outside and that is very enjoyable. All in all a very good place to eat. read more

female owner is the worst..... I have been going to G's for many, many years and I have never met a meaner or more unhappy person than the woman co-owner. She always has an angry, unhappy look on her face and when you approach her, she is nasty and rude. I ordered take out for lunch from there recently and when I realized that they forgot half of my order, I called to let them know. The woman answered, and not only did she give me a hard time, she refused to complete my order! She proceeded to say "next time you come in, I will give you a free soup." I wondered how she would ever know who I was or how to keep track of that without even asking my name?! I hung up very unsatisfied and angry that the woman was so rude, angry, condescending, and to boot, we had a HUGE language barrier during the entire conversation. Lastly, when I went to eat the half of the order that was in the bag, it was cold and disgusting. I am completely unsatisfied and angry about this experience...if you ever order take out from there, make sure to check for everything BEFORE you leave G's or else you will just get charged for food you never received or that is inedible! read more

Apple pickers and locals beware. I took a ride on a beautiful Sunday afternoon with my son and figured I'd go to one of my favorite restaurants, G's. I walked in G's for a lunch as I have in the past, but something seemed different this time. I was greeted by two Oriental women and asked for a table. I requested a table near the window, and noticed the other women making a gesture as if to try putting me at a darker table. Nonetheless, I sat at the window table I wanted and again felt something was different. So I ordered myself an omelette, and my son ordered a cheeseburger. The food took a noticeably longer time to come out than I remembered. As I was waiting, I noticed the waitresses seating people at a nearby table that was clearly not cleaned. Food littered the floor and it was quite filthy. The food finally arrived, but to my surprise, instead of bringing me my omelette and fries, I received a chicken wrap and fries. I told the Oriental waiter, who could barely understand me, that this was not what I ordered. However, all he had to say was that 'We don't make eggs now', and promptly walked away. I went to tell the woman who took the order, and all she had to say was 'You didn't order omelette!'. I returned to the table and ate some anyway, noticing my son's hamburger looked like a wet rag in a bun, and did not look at all appetizing. Needless to say, I did not leave a tip. Again, apple pickers and all others considering venturing a trip here: BEWARE! Don't fall for the painting of the horse pulling an apple cart in the window! The new management at G's is terrible and unfriendly. I suggest packing a lunch or eating before you leave. Horrible, horrible restaurant! read more

Very good French Onion Soup and Buffalo chicken wings there, I stop there for lunch any time I can and have some time. It always used to be packed at the night before Thanksgiving every year by the young coming back from college crowd. They have the downstairs seating area too. G's was recommended by the gentleman in the Warwick Visitors Center Caboose when we were there this past Sunday. Glad I asked. The wait staff at G's was top notch. We had 4 adults and 4 kids under age 4 and they were highly accommodating. We all had burgers and my boy had the chicken fingers. Everything came out great. Good size portions for both the adult and kids meals. The only thing they could improve is the restrooms. Every time one of the ladies in our group went to the bathroom there was a wait... then again thats usually the case at most places LOL. Look forward to stopping in next Apple season! read more

G's is a good spot. My friends and I go there often. These negative reviews really don't make any sense to me. The restaurant is always kept clean and the service is on point. The hostess (Helene) is very polite and professional. She gets along with everyone and is more than happy to chip in to enhance to customers dining experience. Christine is by far the best server. She is personable and professional. She is attentive to our needs and requests whenever we're there. I've only spent a little time downstairs in the bar area, but from that experience I found it comfortable and fun. The bartender was very efficient and friendly. read more

Awful service. Aren't hostesses suppose to be friendly and smiling? The waitress was nice but not at all means a good server. She served us our food and I asked for water and another drink and literally ten minutes passed and we saw ALL the servers including the hostess on their phones sitting down in the corner of the restaurant. Annoyed, my boyfriend went to go up and pay and the waitress quickly realized she forgot to bring us our drinks which she already put on the bill... Even without the glass of wine, the meal was more than our usual bill at Eddies (which is a million times better). She told the hostess to take the drinks off the bill and was apologetic, but it was by no means acceptable with the restaurant completely empty. I would have understood if it was slammed and busy, but not when we're the 1 of 2 tables there. Leaving, the hostess was on her phone and we had to acknowledge her to say bye and thank you. Absolutely ridiculous. I called the owner later and she was apologetic but I will be hesitant to go there again. It used to be a great place to eat but the service is just awful. Train the staff to be friendly and there should be no phones of the restaurant floor so they can actually pay attention- maybe you'll get better reviews. The hardest workers are the bus boys. This is not the same G's from years ago. The new owners are driving the good name into the ground. The food is mediocre-- not worth the price they charge. My son ordered a cannoli, and after taking a bite, commented on how bad and "chewy" it was. My wife and I also tried a taste of it, and I have to say, that it was really bad. Solid filling, and rubbery shell. When I mentioned it to the cashier, she apologized and said she would refund the price of the cannoli. The owner, Joanne, overheard the conversation and said that she was worried that we could get sick from eating it, because it was in the desert case for three weeks. She was very concerned about our safety, after we consumed a three week old cannoli, but she still did not offer a refund of the dinner. Unreal. I took my family out to the car, and went back inside to speak to Joanne again. After a loud discussion in the dining room about how they had served my family potentially dangerous food, I was begrudgingly given a refund. The owners (husband and wife) seem like rookies in the restaurant business. The waitress was very friendly and attentive; not her fault. Will definitely not be visiting again. read more

Just finished dinner at G's tonight. Service was slow and not many people were there. I am giving them one star this time because my wife's chicken sandwich was supposed to have mozzarella cheese and bacon. Instead it came out with marinara sauce and bacon....yuk. The waitress apologized and brought out a new sandwich. However, the cutlet had a weird texture, perhaps it was freezer burned or something. Not good. Sent it back. When I paid the bill the owner asked "how was everything?" And I told her about the sandwich. She said it was because we sent the first one back because we didn't want the sauce. What?! They screwed up the first one and then replaced it with one that wasn't edible. Never argue with a customer! She would not take it off the bill. Won't be going back there again. Too bad. I was liking the place and it's close by. Hope the 7.95 they saved on the sandwich was worth a steady customer. read more
