i won't be ordering from here again. i was excited to try a halal taco spot, so i ventured here for lunch and ordered the tacos. i got one steak and one honey bbq chicken, both with crispy corn shells, for $10. i appreciated you could mix and match many toppings, but the flavors and meat were so meh. there were also a bunch of giant flies swarming around!! so disappointed because i had heard great things from people who come here as an alternative to birria les - which IMO reigns supreme. maybe if i had the beef birria tacos i would have had a better experience. 1.5 stars because service is fast, the staff are friendly, and it's halal. read more

I recently ordered online from Guac Time. I got the 2 for 1 birria tacos, consume, steak quesadilla, and churros. Everything was just about average ://. I really wanted to like this place! I've tried tons and tons of birria places around the city and have even made my own at home (with the whole dried pepper, slow cooking magic, trust me). These tasted a bit strange... I will say, they LOADED them with the beef, which I very much appreciated. But the consume was more like a thicker sauce/smooth salsa rather than the yummy cilantro/onion-y beefy broth I'm used to. The tacos themselves were filled with beef and a sort of queso sauce, which I'm not a fan of in general. I'm not sure how they make theirs but most quesos use velveeta which I can't stand the taste of. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but I was craving some more cilantro, some pico de gallo, some sort of acidity in addition to the little mini singular lime I got. I'm not sure whether they just have a very different recipe than what I'm used to, but I didn't quite enjoy the tacos, and found them to be very expensive $25/3, given I got 3 free on top, which made it worth it. My friend said the kids steak quesadilla was fine. The churros were slightly underdone, but certainly the best part of the meal. They had the perfect amount of cinnamon sugar! I just wish they served them with a sort of chocolate dipping sauce. Overall, I don't think this is the place for me, but if the recipe sounds like your style, check it out! read more

We ordered from here for lunch through their website and was sent a text to call to confirm our order. After calling we were told that no door dasher has been assigned and we would have to call back in 15 minutes. We waited and called back only to be told we would have to pick up our order. We could not which is why we were ordering delivery. So we ultimately had to cancel our order. There was no attempt to try to resolve the situation and the nonchalant attitude definitely wasn't professional. I suggest ordering through door dash and not through their website. I tried them for the first today in my short stay in New York. I was utterly disappointed with the food and the quality. The sauce/consume is describe as broth and it's not broth. It was so thick. Thicker than me. ;) anyways, I was really looking forward to eating this you can tell by the photos I took and it was not a good experience at all. The coke tasted like iron? Food (3/5): This is my second time trying this place and was pleased to see they had birria tacos this time and I do love me some of that. I got one order of birria tacos along side a steak burrito bowl. The birria taco order included three well sized tacos and a cup of consume (broth). I was kind of surprised to see the consume cup was kinda just a small cup, the smallest portion I've been given so far compared to other places I've tried. It also wasn't as flavored as much as it could've been. The tacos themselves had good textures and were decent. The meat was pretty good. But for birria tacos, the star of the show is the consume since you have to dip the taco in it which has most of flavor and with that being a bit bland as well, was slightly disappointed. For the steak bowl, it had decent flavors. The toppings were all mostly fresh. The steak cuts themselves were okay though it could have a bit more flavor and was slightly chewy. Overall wasn't bad. Environment (3.5/5) / Service (4/5): They renovated a bit since the last time I arrived and it's nicer. There's a few tables for indoor seating. It can be a bit cleaner but they will clean the table up for you if you ask or if they see you that you need it cleaned. The service was fast and efficient. If you need to pray, they let you pray be downstairs which was appreciated. Overall a decent spot if you're in the area. Amazing! Large portions and you get a lot of food for the price. Much better than Chipotle.

Food safety is a huge concern. No city hygiene reports anywhere and employees do not change gloves between orders or processing payments. Avoid unless you have an iron gut. read more

Service was good it was super quite at 12.30pm on a Sunday Hillside Ave ,Queens placed looked clean with a few tables but we were coming in ordering & taking our food. The food was great but i gave 4 stars because we were offered spicy and it was not even mild. The elderly lady with the glasses behind the counter did not give me the receipt as she shooed me away. I don't know if I was getting over charged. The lady shooed away customers after customers swiped their credit card, so that if they overcharged, consumers would not notice. That's why this restaurant doesn't give you the receipt. Wealthy people and tourists frequently visit here. They can afford and don't mind getting ripped off. These people don't check how much they are being charged, so they don't need to see the receipt I guess. read more

On the way home from the gym in Brooklyn, I stopped by for some Mexican tacos. Turns out this is an Indian Restaurant masquerading as a Mexican restaurant. Stale taco shells, cold meat and limp vegetables and not a Mexican in sight. I actually threw it away and I never toss food. I wasted $14.00. We ordered 4 burritos, all with guacamole, 3 with sour cream, cheese... but no guac on them at all.... no sour cream at all, no cheese at all. All of the protein was skimp to non existent. The fajita veggies and all other fillings were clearly sitting out for hours and not even slightly warm. All cold food... sucks because the flavors used were decent, but we could tell that the entire order was rushed and prepared carelessly. I was so flabbergasted until I saw a worker pick up the food from the ground and put it in my food and my 30 years of living I've never ever ever ever seen something disgusting like this I am flabbergasted. Ordered from here for the first time, I got the steak quesadilla probably the worst one I've ever had. It was dry, super dry. There was no cheese pull and no seasoning. It was as flat as a pancake. My friend ordered a protein bowl and they added sour cream even though she didn't request it there for she did not enjoy it. The only saving grace were the plantains. 10/10 for that. They were soft in the middle but still had the burntness on the outside. The churro was pretty good too. Pretty moist. Probably wouldn't order from here again. read more

Guac time is one of our local favorites! Very similarapproach to Chipotle where you can get a bowl or burrito and customize your meat, toppings, etc., but with many more topping and flavor options that make it a better option. My favorite part is that queso and spicy queso are both included for free, which is really uncommon for a restaurant of this kind. A single bowl also usually lasts me for two meals because the portion sizes are big! read more
