It so happened the technician knew exactly the problem I had and ordered the correct HD. The new HD did not even to be formatted!! Cost for the new CCTV HD was $150.00!!! I don't enjoy being "played" by merchants such as these people from this company!!l Response/reply: I spoke to a "receptionist." She put me on hold for a few minutes; when she returned to the call, she told me the "manager" told her to tell me the company doesn't service systems they did not install. Plus they are not familiar the brand of CCTV. At no time was I given the option or ever asked if I wanted a technician to go to my house to check out my system. The original installer wanted to sell me a new system as well!! The original installer said my CCTV system should be replaced if it stops working because the NVR is not serviceable. My system was warranted for 3 years; the HD in the NVR failed 2 months after the warranty expired. Response: I am simply writing (recording) what I was told by the receptionist. I told her my CCTV was giving me an error message "not recording." I asked her "...do you service CCTVs?" She said the manager said they don't service my brand of CCTV. She said the manager said,, "he is not familiar with your CCTV." ***I found the NVR brand and cameras on AM.Z.N. I simply said "OK!"

A closer look revealed an undisclosed, hidden surcharge on all hardware, and $1,600 more than B&H Photo for the main RAID system. Rude Management & Illegal Practices: When I called to question the surcharges and ask for my $1K fee back, the supervisor was rude and condescending, defending the "normal" surcharges. Admitted to Illegal Recording: Most alarmingly, the person I was speaking with admitted on the call that he was illegally recording the conversation without my consent, only stopping the recording midway through. As California is a two-party consent state, this is a clear violation of state privacy laws and demonstrates a complete disregard for ethical and legal business conduct. I cannot recommend Manny Hernandez enough! Since my initial experience with him, Manny has helped us with three additional TV wall mounts, including the installation of three Frame-style Samsung TVs. These were not easy jobs--he had to cut into our tile and stonework to ensure a flawless, custom setup. Manny was incredibly precise and careful, and each TV installation came out 100% perfect. He also installed a home theater system for us on an 85-inch TV, which is absolutely incredible. Manny is a perfectionist--every system he has installed for us is meticulously clean and works flawlessly. Beyond TV installations, Manny has taken on other handyman tasks around our home, including hanging art (and trust me, hanging art is truly an art!). His process is thorough--he consults with the client, uses a leveler, and ensures everything is perfect before drilling a single hole. This attention to detail is something I've never seen with other handymen. Manny has also helped with small paint jobs, lighting projects, wiring, and even assisted our 12-year-old son with his gaming setup. He truly does it all! It became painfully obvious we had to synchronize the video and sound. We were streaming the Oscars over the ABC app, and despite our best efforts to start the stream on both TV's at the EXACT SAME TIME the feed did not STAY synchronized. We spent the whole evening stopping one feed to let the other one catch up. Not fun. I asked the company that installed my whole-home entertainment system and they quoted $3,200 to fix the problem. That was too much. I then browsed through Yelp and found Brien. He came over, understood the scope of the work immediately and examined all my Sonos and internet servers upstairs. He gave me a rough estimate from a quick and dirty fix to a Rolls Royce solution. His estimate was from $510 to $1,300. He asked me to give him some time to research this further. This is where he went above and beyond any service provider I have ever interacted with. A few days later I get an email from Brien. This is the relevant portion. (notice how he ordered a kit to experiment with on my behalf !!!) Also, the level of granularity on the Star Wars episodes he watched with his kids is endearing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "I spent a lot longer than originally expected playing with, and enjoying, the J-Tech video extender/splitter kit that I ordered. On Sunday I connected the kit to three TVs in my house. My kids and I watched a mini Star Wars marathon, episodes 7, 8, and 9. Video came from a Roku Ultra that I purchased last year. I tested the following video resolutions; 4K w/Dolby Vision (for close to 9hrs...marathon), 4K HDR (a few Apple TV+ episodes), and 1080p (about an hour of live TV from Paramount+). The whole experience was flawless, save for one minor glitch in edge definition that I resolved by adjusting settings on the video kit manually (only happened with Dolby Vision enabled...user/technician error I think). If you want a solution for under $1000 (installed), then I am recommending this J-Tech kit. Your total would be $510. I don't need a deposit. I'll take full payment after work is completed. You mentioned that you expect to return on 2/5. Can I book the installation for Friday 2/7 at 10am?" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Of course the solution he provided was flawless. He routed the sound over the built-in SONOS speakers (rather than through the TV speakers) and the experience was light-years better than last year. I went with the least expensive option and nobody could have convinced me it wasn't the $1,500 Roll Royce solution! I challenge you to find a more proactive and professional service professional. (I double-dog dare ya!)
