This time right in front of the other contractors working in the home and everyone just looked at him like that's fucked up dude. Shortly after the guy leaves another guy called me who could've been the owner and says that they aren't taking the job. When I asked why, he said his guy that just left said he didn't feel comfortable doing the job. And I said what, why? He said it doesn't matter my guy doesn't feel comfortable doing the job so we're not and you need to find someone else and then hung up. I waited a couple of days for them to come out and then wasted all that time doing the walk through, I felt I was owed an explanation. But of course never got one. So I figured this racist white man couldn't believe that a black man could own such a nice house and didn't believe that I did so much so, he didn't feel comfortable doing the work. I was new in my home and had learned one of the houses in our development had burned down from a dryer vent blockage. Itzik found a terrible dryer vent blockage in my new (to me) home. It took them a while to clear it because the blockage was so dense. The fact that the vent was not opening properly on the outside of the house had shown up in the inspection report, which is why I called this company as well as for air duct cleaning after a bathroom remodel. My dryer vent is once again functional and they put a cage over it so birds could not nest inside. I later had them install insulation in my attic and they protected all of the can lights in my ceiling from insulation in the attic. There were many. He also installed a temperature-controlled fan in my attic for heat release. It made a huge difference in the temperature in my attic on hot days, dropping it by 10-20°. Worth it! Itzik is knowledgeable about many things, including the fact that my kitchen exhaust in the remodel was installed to non-code specifications. He noticed this while working in my attic and reported it to me. Since this was a new home to me, it did show up in my inspection report and it was nice to have someone knowledgeable and concerned directly communicate this to me. I have had greenleaf out for 5 different fixes, and can honestly say I trust this company now. I always worry about different technicians having different skills or level of morals, however it seems whatever greenleafs policy is, is consistent between them. The first two times, I had a clogged line and a dirty coil. The technicians not only fixed both issues and showed me what they were doing, they then walked me through how I can do it myself to save the cost and a trip. I then had two larger issues (TXV Replacement and a cracked refridgerant line) and another airflow diagnostic which i requested, all of which I was walked through each step and given the full information and options. Not once did the technicans just throw their hands up and say "only thing you can do is replace everything" which ive had some grifters tell me in the past. The TXV replacement was significantly cheaper than I had been googling online and the technican's were very courteous. I also was given lots of clarity and assurances from the dispatch desk where they walked me through their pricing and said the price they quoted is exactly what I will be charged (as I was curious how the TXV replacement could be so much less than I was expecting). Im typically very suspicious of all contracting groups, but I have to say, greenleaf is the first to actually gain my trust.

I came home Friday Afternoon (10APR26) to find a puddle forming in my garage. My water heater of…read moreover 16 years had finally given out. To Rescue Air's credit, they had been warning us each time they came out for HVAC Filter rotations. Thankfully, Rescue Air's ace plumbing expert Mr. Phillip Blystone was dispatched to my home to assess the situation. Within minutes he identified the issue and immediately started to work out a plan and arrangement my family could manage to cover the expense of the Water Heater replacement: the source of the leaking problem. Rescue Air has a very long history of working with my family since we've been in this home (2016), so that level of service is a given these days. But that's not the complete reason for the 5-Star rating. The next day, now with a working heater, my wife and I discovered that a leak was still present in the Garage. Upon calling Rescue Air to let them know what was going on, Mr. Blystone responded swiftly to our location to triage the leak. Using both his advanced equipment and intuition, he found that in spite of the solid repair and replace he and his team performed of the water heater, a leak was sadly missed during the initial assessment. Most other business would likely have tacked on a "not-our-problem" sort of response to this. However, Mr. Blystone and by extension Rescue Air are not your normal type of company. With careful consideration of the economic circumstance of the recent repair & purchase, balancing years of customer loyalty and being a genuinely saint, Mr. Blystone proceeded to isolate and resolve the leak (a small puncture hole in the T-pipe hot-water line leading from the heater) pro-gratis. Completely unexpected, but definitely much appreciated! It goes without saying it would be extremely foolish for my family to consider doing business with anyone else in the Dallas Metro given Rescue Air's track record with our family. The value lost would be far too great. While I hope to not need their services as often as recently, I definitely look forward to working with them and Mr. Blystone should the need arise again.

I hired Rescue Air & Plumbing in 2023 for routine maintenance on the original AC in our home. What…read moreshould have been a simple visit turned into high pressure sales tactics. They claimed safety issues, pushed contracts in front of me, and scheduled installation for the next day. I tried to cancel but was told I was locked in. I ended up spending around $30,000. After the installation, every maintenance visit came with aggressive attempts to sell me more services I did not need. Then the new system failed in 106 degree heat. The compressor failed at only 16 months old. Communication was poor, and I was left without AC for about seven days. I had to repeatedly chase them for updates. They did not have the part, did not follow up, and someone finally arrived at 10:30 PM after days of waiting. They gave me a two year complimentary membership as compensation. I assumed the membership would end after the two free years. My card on file had expired, yet in May and June 2026 the company suddenly began charging me again. This suggests someone manually updated my card information without my permission. I never authorized a renewal, never received a renewal notice, and never received invoices for any charges. They refunded the charges I caught, but then claimed I owed $95.80 for four months of fees that were never billed and never agreed to. I asked for written confirmation of a zero balance and never received a direct response. They only responded to the BBB and stated the account was at zero. Based on my experience with both service and billing, I strongly recommend being cautious before using this company.
