Today, I received two PODS that had been packed in Jacksonville FL (NOT by Guardian Moving and Storage). Since I hadn't been very impressed by the loading crew, I wanted to see how things got here. I opened the first POD, and though some things had shifted, I saw no signs of damage. So I closed the POD and went to the other one. Unfortunately, I could only open it about two inches. I called PODS, then Moving Staffers (who provided the loaders in Jacksonville and the unloaders in San Antonio). Kept getting sent to someone else. Can you say frustrated? Yep, that was me. Then I got a call from Richard from Guardian Moving. He told me he'd stop by this evening and see what we could do. He was a bulldog with the problem, it appears the loaders in Jacksonville didn't properly tie down the load, so it shifted in transit. A large piece got lodged under the roll-up door, and wouldn't let it rise above 8 inches. Richard reached in and moved stuff around inside the POD until he could get inside, and moved stuff around to allow him to move the large piece that was causing the problem (after almost an hour of struggling to make room inside the packed POD). He was determined to make it work. He's fantastic! Tomorrow, other members of his crew are coming to take my stuff off the POD and get it into my house. I will start by saying, I have moved a lot and have hired movers in all different cities. I hired Guardian Moving to load two PODS for a cross country move. They confirmed the day before, and gave me a 2-3 hour window for their arrival. Three guys showed up within the given window. They were fantastic, they were all respectful and so careful with all of my belongings. By the time we were ready to move I was so exhausted, that if I had to do the move myself, I may have just thrown all of my stuff into the POD. These great guys wrapped my furniture, and removed legs from items they were worried might get damaged in my move. They were super efficient and judging from how they packed the POD, they would be champions at Tetris. I even had to hire them again the next day, due to a huge screw up by PODS and they were so accommodating and took the same amount of care as they did the day before. If I were still in San Antonio, I would hire them for my next move in a heartbeat. If you want to hire a company that would care for your stuff and guys you don't have to worry about, these are the guys. FYI - I did NOT receive anything for this review. I was just really pleased with their service and I know how hard it is to find someone you trust when you are moving so I thought I would share my experience in the event it could help someone else make their decision. read more

They did an outstanding Job: This all started with a purchase I had made of a 65" Big Screen TV that had just been refurbished and still factory packed. But the factory had delivered it to the wrong address. I called Guardian Moving and Storage SA. to move a 65" Big Screen TV The pickup and delivery was very professional. They took great care to make sure the TV had a safe trip. They treated it as if it was their own. They assisted me in unpacking this TV and we quickly discovered that the Factory had packed the wrong mounting screws for the TV base assembly. The two Guardian Movers quickly volunteered to go to the hardware store and returned with the correct screws. Within minutes finished the Base Assembly, mounted the TV. Then put this 77lbs TV in the entertainment center. They did this at no extra charge. Wow! The Guardian Moving and Storage saved the Day. They are professional, courteous and excellent problem solvers. They did an Absolutely Outstanding Job. I highly recommend them for any of your moving needs Large or Small. read more

We had a flawless move! Jordan and his team were given the wrong appointment time by dispatch, but he easily resolved this and arrived later at the appointed time after rearranging his morning. He called ahead to let us know they were about 30 minutes away, then carefully assessed everything in our home for the move. His team took care of all of our items, carefully wrapping and transporting them on and off the truck. No delays and no laziness. They were all very polite, professional, and friendly. I would 100% recommend them to anyone needing to move. Booking was also flawless. Our requested date and time was available 4 days before our move. Setting everything up was easy, and anyone who answers the phone is equally professional, friendly, and polite. Kevin is very nice and very fair when it comes to prices for different levels of moving, overall we are very satisfied with the moving and storage services we were provided. Movers are very friendly and hardworking, they really made sure that everything was perfectly wrapped and protected from damage. We moved a three bedroom, three living area and storage from our old home into a four bedroom house and I only had 2 broken plates, everything was perfect. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to move. I also appreciated that the same workers that performed the first leg of my move also performed the last leg of my move into my new home, I felt very comfortable. I had a last minute move to make and needed a company that would use caution with my belongings and could do so in a timely manner. I contacted a few companies and Guardian was by far the fastest and most helpful response. I called on Tuesday and they were loading my belongings in San Antonio on Thursday and unloading in Oklahoma City on Saturday, all within one week from contact to delivery. Kevin the manager went out of his way to make me feel assured that I was in good hands with Guardian, even showing up on site when the crew was loading. If you're moving , i would definitely recommend Guardian Moving !! They have a prefessional crew and they move at a quick, but steady pace. They have great deals on storage if you guys travel a lot like we do. They helped, my sister an i move like 3 weeks ago and not once did they drop anything, damage anything .
