This place is super new! So new that it had only been opened for three days when we decided to stop in for dinner. The inside has 5 dinner tables and they are also going to have a mini mart as well. We sat down ourselves as there was no one manning the front when we walked in. There was one other party dining in besides us. The menus were dropped off right away and we were excited to see what yummy-ness we could find. I really wanted a Tiky soda as it was listed on the menu. Unfortunately when I ordered it though, they didn't have it at the moment. So I went with a Mexican soda. The server was a mess. He was definitely new at this and was all over the place. We rarely got checked on and there was a few times we had to track him down .he was pretty friendly though. We ended up ordering two chilles rellenos for $8.99, one chicken salad for $6, one chicken pepian for $10.99, and one order of their stuffed plantains for $5. The food was freshly made as we had a full view of the kitchen. When brought out, the presentation of the plate was really nice. The tortillas are handmade and they tasted just like my moms, yummy! My stuffed chilies were pretty good but the beans on the plate were a little too dry. My friend who ordered the chicken pepian enjoyed the flavor of it, but the chicken skin is what grossed him out. Pepian is a Guatemalan dish that is pretty similar to mole. The chicken salad was good and the chicken was perfectly seasoned. We were told that they had ranch, sour cream, and or salsa for the salad. We went with ranch and a few minutes later were told they didn't have any... This place definitely has potential! I want to say that maybe they were a mess since they are super new! I will definitely stop by again in a few weeks to see if things have gotten better! I'm so glad there is a Guatemalan restaurant in town now!

The parking lot outside was parking so we thought we may have to wait, but inside was not busy yet and we were seated immediately. I ordered the smoked chicken enchilada as I saw it was a Yelp favorite and it was delicious. I ended up taking half of it home since we all filled up on chips and salsa before our meal. This restaurant is decorated so cutely. I love how there is a Baja influence with all the surf boards but also southwest appeal. There is plenty of seating and tables for big groups. Even with other people yapping around us, the noise level was perfect to enjoy company. 10/10 would recommend.

Everything tasted amazing and was served fresh and in a timely manner. We will most certainly be back (and you should visit, too!)!

The restaurant is clean, the seating area is comfortable, and they have an extensive menu with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. There are so many choices that it's going to take several visits to try everything! My mom ordered the chicken enchiladas, and she absolutely loved them. The portion of chicken was generous, and the enchiladas had the perfect level of spice--not too mild and not overpowering. I had the birria quesadilla tacos, and they were absolutely stunning! Honestly, they are easily in my top two birria tacos I've ever had. The flavor was incredible, and I'm already looking forward to having them again. My son had two beef tacos, which he enjoyed as well. The menu is huge, and there are so many things I want to try on our next visit. I cannot wait to come back for the birria pizza! The food, portions, cleanliness, and especially the customer service were all excellent. I'm honestly surprised this place isn't busier because it deserves to be! Update: the owner messaged me and told me to buy an entire chicken. Uh, maybe put some chicken in the chicken burrito? Update #2: The owner sure does like to argue with the customer back and forth. Now, he proposed that I order from Chipotle instead since they fail to give customer what one paid for. Update #3: The owner still going back and forth with me and now claiming I did not pay for the burritos. Not really sure what he means by that. Got the $30 Plato Campechano between 2 ppl (half chicken, half a pound of Carne, flour and corn tortillas, rice, beans from the pot, salsas, grill jalapeños, guacamole, limes, and radishes). Decent amount of food, although the chicken and carne were both a bit dry. I enjoyed the beans and rice, and the additional accouterments. Overall, good flavor and seasonings, just dry protein. Not sure if that would change on a busier day if fresh food was being pumped out, but would be open to checking this place out again!
