I'm trying so hard to like this place but... from the time we entered at 7:50, we were completely ignored. The young man was talking to a family in front of us for about 10 minutes. No eye contact, no impact be right with you, nothing. Then the same server points to rhe corner telling us to go to the corner booth. Shows up later and "flings" the menus to us. Not impressed. We ask him several times for another container of salsa. He doesn't get it, I even say it in Spanish thinking it's a language barrier. Sigh. We end up with another waiter who was FANTASTIC! Attentive, engaging and helpful. BUT at 8:30, the smell of Mr. Clean pinesol perfume was so strong I had to stop eating. It was horrible. Sigh. The food was EXCELLENT. This place is awesome!! The food is beyond delicious and they serve you plenty. And the staff is very friendly and helpful. The chips were sooo good, warm and fresh. We got the Super Quesadilla with chicken and the Pork with Green Chile Verde. They are following CDC guidelines, requiring masks and having hand sanitizer available. We we're immediately greeted and seated. My family and I took a mini winter vacation and we ended up here. My husband had been before and recommended it. We order a camarones (shrimp) plate that me and my daughter shared. My husband ordered enchiladas with mole sauce and my son always gets cheese quesadillas. This was a nice option to find while looking for vegan-friendly places in Maggie Valley. I asked in advance, and the server assured me that the beans are made with vegetable oil (and there is a vegetarian menu!). Now if you're vegan, you just need to ask them to leave off the cheese and sour cream and you'll be good to go! I ate way too many of their delicious chips and salsa, but still manage to wolf down my veggie fajitas. Very tasty and the guac and refried beans were tasty as well. The service is real slow, but they are really nice. The cost for a pitcher of Margaritas is priced way to high at $18.00, its just to much for a 4 glass pitcher, need to be 6 or 8 glass's. All of the dinner orders did not come all together, as they came out one at a time. Three in our group of 5 in the was done with there dinner and still the others have not got there dinners. The others cancelled their orders. All the food that was served, was not hot. Even the cheese dip was cold. What can I say, this is the worst dinning experience we have ever had. There's not much opened on a Monday, so we wound up at this place. The house was full, but we were seated in less than twenty minutes. It took a while to get our food, but the volume of customers made that understandable. While the food was good,what stands out is the service. These folks excel in their service. Today is my birthday we went to this restaurant to have a nice dinner and we had to wait in line for about 10 minutes when we sat down they took a drink order right away. Then we never got our food we sat there for 45 minutes people ahead of us and even behind us got their food they kept saying it was coming so we got up and left.
