This is a classic pub, a local hidden gem. Food is better than Boston, Earls, or Cactus, yet everything is chepaer. Waitress are smart and know what they are doing. Awsome salad, beer and beef short rib. Nacho is big too. Monday they have prime rib burger special. Cheaper than Bigmac but double the size and triple the taste. read more

Everything on the menu is great. I've tried 95% of the food here and I've yet to be disappointed. No refills on soda, but hey, it's a pub. Very busy at night on the weekends and on wings night. Multiple flavors for wings and CURLY FRIES. I moved 40 minutes away from this place and I'm sad! My favorite place to eat. Always. Good service. Prompt food. So I love pubs, and pub food. I have traveled the world and enjoy going into pubs. So we arrived tuesday night for wing night and the Baseball game is playing it was a little wait to get seating but ok. Watched the game from the door till a table for 6 was open for us. We sit order maybe 100 wings, they are small but worth it. The price was great and a lot of TV to watch what ever sport event your into. Thursday is their huge Rib night so I'm going there for Ribs next week. read more

I went here last night with a friend for dinner. The station is a very good neighbourhood pub. The draught list had a nice variety of choices. The decor was mostly unremarkable, though the front of a steam engine, which dominates one corner of the room, is a nice touch. The food was surprisingly good. The prices for everything are very cheap so I wasn't expecting much. I got the fish and chips which were very good. A nice, crisp English style batter, decent fish (cod) and the tartar sauce was nicely tart, rather than the miracle whip with pickle shavings you get with most cheap fish n' chips. My friend's beef dip also looked delicious. The fries weren't great, but that'd just be missing the forest for the trees. All in all, I really liked this place. I'd go back in a second. read more

I went here with a friend just for a small get together. We kinda waited at the entrance area for a few moments until we realized that we can just go ahead and take our seat. hehe woops. The place was quite busy at the time that we went but then again it was BC day (no pun intended). We took a seat but we had to move eventually because four men that were seating across our table were talking about us and how we look too young to be there and other insulting BS. They were speaking our mother tongue but I dont think they realized that we can understand and hear them loud and clear. So we just moved to a different table. They really pissed off my friend. Of course, that wasn't the pub's fault. But once we got our orders, good vibes started to flow and we were having a great time. We had some wrapped scallops, yam fries, chicken fingers, and shrimp popcorn. They didnt have a drink menu but our waitress said they had everything so that's probably why. But its a down-side for those who didnt know what to order BUT good thing the waitresses there know their stuff. I asked our waitress what kind of ladies drinks they have and she listed 3. A little bit too narrow for choices but I really enjoyed what I ordered. I got Pina Colada for my drink and it was fantastic. Very creamy. No cherry on top though. It was about $5. My friend ordered 2 glasses of heineken. Our bill ended up being around $40 which was not bad at all. we were STUFFED and our waitress was awesome. We didnt get a chance to get her name but she was blonde and cool. She always went back every table to ask if we needed anything. She was there when we needed her and not when we didnt. She also just memorized everyone's order and got them right. And she doesnt seem like the type that would frown upon you when you dont leave a tip. Food was freshly cooked and delicious. Drinks were great. Cheap prices. The place was pretty cool with all the wall decors. It was noisy but what do you expect? And oh, there was vomit at the girls' washroom. No worries, just flush it down. Lastly, they didn't ask for our IDs. I guess our waitress was pretty chill about it or they were just too busy with all the customers. We really enjoyed our time at the pub. We sat at the new bartop, which is really nice. Our bartender, Tyler, was super rad. He was prompt and courteous, and really friendly. We had a ceasar, a couple beers, and a version of a Bellini that comes with a mini champagne bottle on top. Like a beergarita, I guess. It was potent! We started with deep fry pickles and they came with fries. Husband had the station beef dip and he said it was great. I was pretty full by that time so I went with a BLT on sourdough. It was yummy. The renovation was overdue and I like it. The atmosphere is great, loud and busy with a lot of regulars. We'll definitely be back! read more

We all had drinks as well as nachos and few more appies as well as the Italian chicken sandwich , which was delishhh!!! I have been going to this pub since 2003. When I started going there, it was amazing. Cheap, delicious food with generous portions, and a really warm, inviting atmosphere. My biggest complaint was always that it was so busy, and sometimes I had to wait for a table (but I did wait!!). About 4 or 5 years ago, they renovated. I believe new owners took over, but I am not sure. When they reopened, the pub had lost its warmth, and was now awash in a sea of gray. However, the menu remained the same, and the food was still cheap and delicious. Last night I went to the pub for the first time in probably 6 months. I could not have been more disappointed. Slow service, dirty tables, and a new menu with higher prices. When I received my order (steak sandwich), it was a small portion on an small plate. The plate was so small that every time I tried to cut my tiny steak, the side fries would fall over the edge of the plate. I went in at 7pm, and there was a table available for me. By 8pm there were quite a few empty tables. Such a shame to see what used to be the best kept secret in Surrey decline so much. I will continue to go there because its literally next door to me, but I won't be posting any more raves for it. Unless of course, they change back to their old system of great food at low prices. read more

So disappointed with this place, reviews seemed good until I went there. We were seated fairly promptly but that's where the honeymoon ended, after waiting 10 mins for anyone to acknowledge our presence, we had to find our own menu's lying on a nearby table and proceeded to decide what we wanted. This place was the place to go for really great food at a cheap price. Ever since they remodeled it has gone downhill. You don't get as much food (like fry's ) because you have a fancier plate now. The food is more expensive. And you don't get vinegar ketchup at the table anymore. You get tiny tiny amount of ketchup on the side of the plate. I wish they would go back to the old ways. This place is an absolute local gem. It's dated inside but that's part of it's charm. The crowd is friendly, it's fairly bright and very high ceilings don't make it feel cramped and dungeon like. The Seafood Club Sandwich is my all-time favourite. That with their curly fries is a combination that makes me hungry just to type about. Cheap beer, friendly staff, great food. Nothing else you could really ask for. I find the TV's sometimes aren't set to HD for game broadcasts and are just an SD Stretched picture, but maybe that's just the picky HD snob in me. An absolute disgrace entering this place. So I am meeting someone there (who arrived before me). I have never been here before. it was 6pm in the evening, just wanting to have dinner and a beer. I walk in, and the "doorman" stands in front of me. Interesting approach at a local pub. He starts grilling me with such questions as "who are you meeting", "what is his name", "what is your name", "where are you from", and so on. He is quite a bit taller than me so he leans over in an aggressive fashion. This was bizarre to say the least. Let me be clear, I am a middle aged guy just walking in, there is no reason for this nonsense. The man won't let me in. A staff person happens to walk by and says hello and then he backs away and I walk in. I was just shocked at this kind of behavior for a local pub. I would have left but my friend was already there so I stayed. I did not get angry, or raise my voice.. I just stood there in bewilderment wondering why this man is acting this way. I refused to order anything and give them any money so I just had the one beer my friend had waiting for me at the table. I am not from the area, I live in Vancouver. Maybe this is security in the area? I have no idea. It is nothing I have ever seen at a pub before. It was aggressive, rude, and I would never think of returning there. Even the nightclubs downtown at night midnight who scan your license or pat you down don't ask you 20 questions unless you come up on their gang Bar Watch list. Just bizarre behavior. Maybe it is just this guy trying to validate himself by being a bully, I don't know. It was an absolute disgrace and I will never go near them again. I went to this pub for a Christmas party last week. Not only did they double book us for the upstairs room, but the service was also horrible. It took forever to get our order taken for any drinks or food. I was there for 30 mins before I got my first drink. Some of my co-workers and I ordered food and when we received it there was no cutlery. We all ate with our fingers as no one came to check how our food was at all. I would not recommend this place at all. I go to pay for my bill and they said don't worry about your tip it is included. Tip for what, bad service and waitresses taking shots while working. The food I had was great, the burgers are so good. The girlfriend s stake had no real taste to it and the "tiger prawns" were tiny shrimps. I had 3 cokes, which I was not told when I sat down were not free refills which came to $7 and for pop that is water down in a cup full of ice is a bit of a piss off. I was told by their "manager" that "This a pub, and pub/bar don't give out free anything not even pop industry standard. Come here at least twice per month with my Boyfriend. I love this place! Food are honestly super cheap when it is on special. Even if it is not, the portion are HUGE! I love their curly fries and their steak!! it is always my must have !!! the only reason that holding my Five Stars to them is becoz of their waitress. I am not saying they are bad. There is one tall brunette lady that I really like and 20% tips is always the minimum i gave to her. but other than her... the service is like very average...... they are nice to those white people who looks like they drink a lot and give a lot of tips... I went here for the first time , and i don't have anything to complain about. I've heard from almost everyone that their food is really good. I know the place is usually pretty busy, but went on a sunday evening and it wasn't to bad and the food came quick. Everything was good. The waitress was really nice and checked up on us a lot, way better service than any other bars I've been to. Its well lit, lots of tvs, not dirty and grimy at all, its more like a restaurant atmosphere, which i enjoy better especially when you're going to eat and not just going for a drink. I have been here 3 times. I have gone twice for the weekend omelette bar and once for lunch. Good pub for good food and great prices. The omelettes are so big I can never finish it.
