My mom used to make these for me when I was little, so when I found this I was totally excited! It was good - can't have that much since it's very rich & full of calories. A delicious, creamy and somewhat healthy smoothie make with fresh avocado and condensed milk. Top with house-made whipped cream. Keto Basque Burnt Cheesecake (GF) - This is on odd twist on cheesecake, but I liked it. Wasn't my favorite but it's ok. Cream cheese, heavy cream, eggs, Lakanto Monk Fruit sweetener, and rice flour. Service great. They have these little flower pressed pineapple cakes that are a must anytime we are close. I bought more than 2 dozen treats (pineapple cakes and Macarons). It looks like this place is mostly known for its coffee and desserts, however I tried the food, and it was subpar to say the least... The only item that was palatable was the Spam Musubi. It was seasoned well on one side and tasted very good. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there... As a Bahn Mi connoisseur, I must say that the ingredients were not quite the freshest nor the most flavorful. It was as dry as a bone, as there was practically no spread. Also, they do not carry hoisin sauce, as requested. The Bao did not come with any beef option either. Therefore, I tried the lemongrass chicken, and it was absolutely unpalatable. I couldn't even eat it, unfortunately... Therefore, it went to waste. This is a creative twist on Bao in that it is more of a Bao taco. It could have worked beautifully, if there was more attention placed on the actual taste of this dish. The Rice & Egg Bowl was a very disappointing coup de gras to the meal. To make things worse, the egg rolls were either freezer burned or fried way too much, because the surface was scarred and dry. Furthermore, there was no attempt at putting any garnishing on top of the dish. Not even a few chopped chives... For $15, I could have made this dish for less than $5 at home, and it would have tasted better. This is where I draw the line, because we work hard for our money, and we expect quality and value. Anyway, I had to order the basque tiramisu cheesecake ($6) because I'm a fan of each dessert, and this is a hit. I got Miso Matcha, Reeses, and Fruity Pebbles. I was super interested in Miso Matcha as I've never seen that flavor anywhere else before! I came in around 11a and it was dead, so i would think the quality would've been undivided not to mess up one cup. My friend & I were craving Boba and this happened to be the closest boba shop to us. So we thought why not try it?! We were not even greeted as we entered the store. Parking: Large parking lot and located right off the freeway. Customer Service: Started off bad when we weren't greeted and after we received our boba the barista didn't even ask if we needed anything or if it was good. Quality of Boba: I order the Classic Milk Tea & my friend ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea. Both of them had a very floral flavor and was drink wasn't appetizing so we ended up throwing it away. I'm hoping this feedback is taken into consideration. I purchased some macarons as well as ice cream macarons today. The ice cream ones were delicious, but unfortunately the regular ones were very dry and crunchy and the cream was hard and dried out. It felt as if it was left out for days and I'm not accusing, but it makes you wonder how they got so dry and hard to the point of the cream drying out. It was unfortunate to have to replace the hard ones with the only flavor that was soft which my daughter unfortunately didn't like. Another thing that was unsettling to me was the spam musubi that you can purchase is left out on the counter on a tray for customers to grab from after they pay. It leaves room for bacteria and potential food poisoning. Especially rice. I'm pretty sure most places cook those to order. I just wanted to give feedback regarding these issues. read more
