It's been awhile since I've been here but it hasn't changed. Still a really good place to get boba. Went this afternoon (Sunday) and walking in, almost every table was occupied. There were people playing board games, doing work on their laptops or just chatting. It's a cool place to hang out. Went up to the front counter to order a honeydew smoothie with boba. The guy at the register was nice. Only waited a couple minutes before I got my order. It was as delicious as I remembered it to be. The boba was warm, like it was freshly made, and chewy which I love. The smoothie was so refreshing and flavorful. It's definitely worth the stop on my way back to North County. read more

Doc introduced me to this place in walking distance to 99 Ranch. Never saw such a HUGE milk tea/coffee place. You order at a kiosk it at the counter. Busy so may be a while but it was definitely worth the wait. I ordered No Sugar got my drink but it was perfectly sweet and blended. I ate the chocolate waffle first. Delicately crisp edges. Wow, it's been years since my last review, but I had to come back to Tea N More because I was craving their black milk tea and popcorn chicken. Black milk tea (10/10): Still tastes exactly how I remember it. Not too sweet and super smooth. Only difference I noticed is their cups are slimmer now, but flavor is still on point. Popcorn chicken (9/10): Recipe hasn't changed and I hope it never does. One of best spots for popcorn chicken, especially if you're studying and need something satisfying. Portion size did get a bit smaller, so I docked one point. For both items, total came out to $13. Atmosphere is very quiet and respectful since there are plenty of tables for students to work. There are a few outlets to charge your devices, but those spots get taken pretty quickly. You can order on a tablet or directly with staff. Kitchen items took a little longer, but that's expected. I always forget about this tea shop and it's been here forever. Right next to 99 ranch, it's slightly hidden. Very spacious interior, this tea shop reminds me of a college hang out spot to get work done, hang out with friends all night and be able get your favorite drink and a snack. There is limited staff on hand and can order your drink through a kiosk. I've only ever ordered Thai tea here. It's a staple of mine, not made with powder, traditionally brewed, it's not too sweet and has a good tea flavor. They only offer one size drink. There is twenty minute parking by the entrance. Inside there was plenty of seating area and three kiosks to make orders. I ordered green tea, a passion fruit tea and a pork rice to go. Took about 10 minutes to make and I was off. Room has space for big groups. There was a board game day happening that Saturday. Will come back. Food was delish. read more

My husband and I have loved Tea N More for the last 2 years but sadly have been disappointed the last few times we've been. We usually get the crispy chicken thigh meal. This used to be a solid study spot back in 2015-2018 but unfortunately that is not the case anymore. Yes, there are plenty of tables and outlets but the wifi stopped working suddenly and when I asked an employee if he could reset the router he told me the wifi goes off at 10pm. This is one of my favorite tea cafes in San Diego. They have so many options on their menu, ranging from a variety of crepes to slushy drinks. They also serve full meals for lunch and dinner. The cafe is huge, and there's a small manga and board games section in the corner. Tea n More on a rainy day after shopping at 99 Ranch. The space was bigger than expected, and the menu was long. Ordered a Sukiyaki rice set, a crepe, papaya milk tea, and black tea. Sadly, the food was disappointing--overly strong flavors, and both my mom and I felt unwell after. The place didn't smell clean, with a strong sewer odor near the restroom. This place is actually one of my favorite places to study, this has gotten me through my entire undergraduate degree and never fails. Their meals are so yummy I always get the breast chicken nugget meal and it is so healthy and hearty! I also love how they offer a tea with the meal, for a broke college student that means soooo much to me! Ambiance is great if you come here from open time to around 6 but after 6 this place gets insanely rowdy with all the DND clubs and Language clubs always meeting here, it gets LOUD. So if you want quiet study time come here before that it's nice how this place is open late but if you don't have strong noise canceling head phones my fellow students stay away the volume goes through the roof. The staff is cool and they are also quick but when it's busy they really do work their hardest so have patience guys! I love tea n more and have been coming for years but sometimes I don't understand how it is okay to over charge for something as simple as lemon wedges. Prior to this I had ordered cheesy chicken fries with eel sauce and a large taro drink. Cost $24 and change which I was fine with. Later that night I bought another drink and wanted a side cup of ice with lemon wedges. I was charged 4.50 for 4 thin slices of lemon slices and water by the manager who wouldn't even come out and see me. Many things have not changed over the years such as boba and drinks that are reasonably priced and feature more traditional and basic flavors, but are still very tasty and high quality, especially the boba which was really fresh with just the right consistency. I'm upset that I didn't check out this place sooner when it's so close to my house! It is located unassumingly in the same plaza as 99 ranch, so there is plenty of parking space. It is one of the boba stores in the area that opened late at night, and attracts many customers, community clubs and interests groups to gather. This is one of the oldest boba shops I've seen stick around in Clairemont and the latest one open at night! The biggest indicators that the shop hasn't changed are definitely the chairs, old tables, and those nostalgic quarter toy machines near the counter. Hours are until midnight and many come to study, play games, drink, and snack. I recently got some work done here and they've added self order machines since the last time I've visited. It was a gamble for the taste of the drinks as there were no pictures on screen but I did not expect much quality from Tea N More. I had a Hong Kong Milk Tea and it had a strange after taste. The syrup was not mixed on the bottom either and my friend ordered a Taiwan Milk Tea which was slightly better. Their popcorn chicken is pretty decent! I liked that you have the option to choose white or dark meat, but both have different seasonings on them depending what spice you choose. Overall, Tea N More is below average for boba beverages and could definitely use a revamp of their drinks. So this review is about ten years overdue. Actually, much of my knowledge of my hometown, San Diego is ten years behind LOL. A recent promo video by Convoy District informed me that Tea n More is still around...yay! It brought back memories of countless trips here after dinner parties or karaoke, or for work or studying. Tea n More was where I first saw a purikura booth, circa 2008 haha! You know how it is...people living 30 minutes away will drive to Convoy because it's San Diego's "Asia Central." Since leaving SD ten years ago, I've had better tea and boba in San Gabriel Valley, the Bay Area, and Honolulu, Hawaii, but I'll always remember Tea n More as the spot with better drinks, seating, and parking than Tapioca Express. In the Convoy District, parking is golden. I believe Convoy inadvertently trained me up for Honolulu's parking situation. I'd come here during college, to "chaperone" my teen sister/cousins/family friends, or to hangout with my Gen X older friends. I can't really fault SD/Convoy for not being at the level of SGV or the Bay Area when it's catching up. The Convoy District just has its own unique vibe within San Diego County. After having that tasty Korean BBQ or ramen dinner (+hotpot and Korean fried chicken since I left SD!), definitely check out Tea n More for some good boba and even better chill vibes. read more

If there was music I couldn't hear it due to the social and the hustle and bustle of the cafe. Great to study, eat, or socialize. FOOD: Popcorn Chicken Combo + Chinese Sausage (Recommend) Delicious! The chicken was juicy and fresh. The crunch was delightful and the spicy seasoning gave it a good kick. The broccoli and rice balanced out the savoriness. I requested for a la carte in Chinese Sausage and that complimented the flavors. Green Tea (Recommend) Great! Chilled and refreshing with green tea bitterness with a hint of sweetness. Our San Di-Asians MeetUp group had our boba social at Tea N More. There were 15 of us and it turned out another larger group had their event at the same time. It was a good thing this boba shop was very roomy with lots of tables and chairs! If I had to guess, I would say there was a good 50-60 people in total. I found out that one of the groups meet here every Thursday evening, so if you want to avoid a large crowd, do not come here on Thursdays. The staff seem very organized and have drinks and food prepared very quickly. That said, the popcorn chicken that I ordered was pre-made and wasn't hot at all. I had ordered medium spicy but it wasn't remotely spicy. It was dry and warm, wasn't the best, that's for sure! For drinks, I ordered the Lemon Ribena, half sweet. It tasted ok, kinda like a lemonade. It had an interesting flavor that wasn't too bad. This location is great for large crowds, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get boba here for just myself. Another good thing is the large parking lot. My friend and I came here together during their peak hours and we didn't have trouble finding parking at all. read more
