A new, trendy, funky Indian restaurant FINALLY in Orlando!! But don't be fooled by the cool art and Sanjay Dutt theme of the restaurant. Have been here twice now. First when they had recently opened and second a few days back. First time the service was very slow. Our first item came after 45 mins after we ordered. And everything came in a random order, one drink or one food item at a time. It looked like they were under staffed. The servers looked overwhelmed and inexperienced. Few items we ordered were super spicy. Although we asked for medium spice, the server told us that these dishes are traditionally spicy. Well, we won't be ordering them again. We ordered multiple items - Bhel (bland), Chili cheese toast (spicy, avg), Bhindi fries (good), Gully pizza with paneer and schezwan (spicy, avg), Paneer paratha tacos (good), Schezwan momos (avg), Veg Kolhapuri (spicy, avg), Falooda (avg), Aalo bombs (avg, spicy) Second time was a similar experience. Slow service, small food portions and average taste does not justify the high prices they charge. Though the interior looks nice and fresh, the plaza is dirty and stinky. Bathrooms look like they have never been cleaned. Definitely try the restaurant for its vibe and experience. And I hope to update my review and add a star in the near future. read more

Cool ambience and great food. This Bombay street food restaurant with a theme honoring Bollywood legend Sanjay Dutt is part of the House Of Spices complex. My party shared an order of chaat and okra fries to start. The chaat was spicy, tangy and flavorful while the okra fries were spiced just right and not greasy. I had a kathi roll and the roll is actually made of a malabar style flaky paratha. Tried the manchurian chili noodles also. The food was on point and the service was quick. Also, they have a robot waiter that was serving food, never seen that before. Definitely coming back in the future. read more

To get to the restaurant, one needs to walk through a corridor that has businesses on either side: clothing, gold shop, grocery store exit...until you reach the end where you find Gully. As you enter, one is greeted by a mural of Sanju baba. They had one of those robot waiters that delivered food to the table. I managed to catch it as it was on its way back into the kitchen after delivering some food to a table. The place had a nice feel to it. On the food front: Vada pav: 10/10 Hakka noodles (w/ paneer): 10/10 Samosa chaat: 9/10 Dahi puri: 9/10 The menu had some other interesting items on it too. But we were full with these. This has been one of my go-to lunch spots. The food is amazing and the service is always great.

Pros: decent seating and good vibe. (Dont worry about the outside and parking lot - looks weird) Con: the menu is a cluster F. Cant find things easily, the food is SUPER expensive for its portion size and lacks taste. I had 2 plates of pani puris and they were so small and tasteless that it didnt seem like pani puri. They were out of coke soda (What? How?) - overall very disappointed with the food and prices for what its marketed. Would not recommend unless you want to waste $$$ read more

The Website & the menu provides a hype to this place but it does not live up to the hype at all. Was quite disappointed by the food & the service. They were both subpar. And it's not even like we went on the weekend...we went on a Wednesday evening & they still struggled to make tasty food & to provide decent service. I was expecting seriously authentic Mumbai food, but it wasn't the case. Safe to say that I'd go to Bombay street kitchen down the road instead. And suggest that others do the same. read more

Loved the food and ambience of this place. We tried their Samosa Chaat and Pav Bhaaji. Authentic taste from the streets of Mumbai. Portions are decent sized, satisfying and service is quick. Very nice and unique decor and creative items on the menu, for those who have lived in Bombay this would be a great trip down memory lane. Staff is super attentive and the use of robot to serve food is a nice touch. Ordered egg curry and that was spot on with the taste, presentation and flavor. I personally thought the chili cheese toast had great taste but had a bit too much cheese. I was disappointed with the Frankie - it appeared to be served on a frozen paratha (Shana) instead of fresh tortilla. Also the filling was ok but I expected better from this. Would definitely try it again and try different items, did not get a chance to try the pav bhaji - looking forward to trying that. read more

The food at Gully is truly authentic. I'm a Mumbaite and the food reminds me of flavors from the streets (gullies) of Mumbai. The quality and service are great. The Sanjay Dutt mural is a fun addition. Do visit, I'm a regular since it recently opened. This is the restaurant we've been missing in Orlando. It's great that you can get butter chicken at all these other Indian places. But we needed a modern Indian place that does fusion. This place went from bad to worse. So originally this place was called Bombay Cafe, the food and service was amazing. Probably the best vegetarian Indian restaurant in all of Orlando. Then they changed to Danna Panni, the food was OK and the service was OK also the prices skyrocketed. Now these new folks take over and WTF! The portions got even smaller, prices are insane and the service is mediocre at best. They have a robot waiter - it doesnt even work correctly. The food is oily and bland, how'd you guys screw this up? I'm local and wont be coming back anytime soon. Bombay Cafe - went there dozens of times, Danna Panni - maybe 3 times, now as Gully...I wont be back. Save yourself the headache, go to Honest or Bombay Street Kitchen - both are way better and cheaper than this place, plus you get actual food not instagram pictures. Also floor is sticky, bathrooms are worse than most gas stations...no soap, no towels, doors dont close and tobacco spit stains all over the floor. They got the authentic part right here, you feel like your eating at a truck stop outside of Mumbai in 2012. read more
