A simple tuna sandwich on white. Other breads available and 'deluxe' it to add fries and slaw.

Cute restaurant just off RR 12, on Babcock Ave. They have a good size private parking lot. It was quiet when we arrived with just a couple other guests in house during our late lunch arrival. The woman at the hostess stand/cashier directed us to sit anywhere in the bar area. Menus were promptly brought over and a drink order taken. This menu is pretty big. Lots of sandwiches including Italian, patty melt, shaved steak, burgers, and clubs as well as plenty of salad options, pasta, chicken, pork and seafood. The entire back page of the menu is devoted to pizza. So you definitely have choices here. As there were few guests in house, our order was up amazingly quickly. They were also doing a pretty good take-away business while we were there. Not terribly hungry, I chose a basic tuna on white toast. Comfort food on a rainy day. Along with a cuppa (tea that is), it was just right. Lots of fresh, crisp lettuce to offset the tuna salad creaminess, and an excellent dill spear on the side. My SO chose the italian sub, un-toasted, with oil. He was very pleased with his choice. Soft roll, lots of meats and shredded lettuce. He had a BeHoppy draft and was quite content with his lunch. Staff were all friendly, our waitress has a sense of humor, dining area was quite clean. Two single restrooms are off the hall near the entrance. There is some wear, but they looked and smelled clean, and that is what matters. Ladies room has a baby changing station. A whiteboard on the dining area wall lists available desserts. I missed that until on our way out. Pies, puddings, cakes, so much looked good on that list. You'll want to look for that. Next time we find ourselves in the area needing a meal break, we will happily return.

Pretty good. Too much cheese, and could've been cooked a little longer. Friendly people.

Not Bad - Nice People Good value -- generous portions of food at very reasonable prices. Nice small-town atmosphere with pleasant staff. Standard diner fare. Would like to see more consistency in terms of quality of food and speed of service For example, last week I placed the exact same order two days in a row, with very different results. First day service was prompt, fries were hot and perfectly cooked but sandwich was made on the wrong bread. Second day sandwich was excellent, but service took forever and fries were undercooked and soggy. Just ok. Thanks

Not sure how many bars are in Mystic but if you're claiming you have the best espresso martini it should be amazing and it just wasn't. The decor is gorgeous, blending Mediterranean-inspired blue tiling with warm mustard seating and rustic wood accents. The lighting is soft and inviting, and the layout feels spacious yet intimate. It's a beautifully designed space that sets the perfect mood for a great meal. The bar area is beautiful and full of character! I love the mix of the rustic whitewashed wood front and the intricate tile work. The tiered ice display filled with Limoncello and fresh lemons adds such a fun, refreshing touch, and the giant floral centerpiece is stunning. It's a bright, lively spot that's perfect for grabbing a drink. If you prefer dining al fresco, there's a patio and the porch space has a fantastic atmosphere. It feels bright and cheerful thanks to the lively pink flower baskets and the bold blue outdoor furniture. Because the deck is fully covered, you get plenty of shade while still being right next to the walkway. It's a very cute, well-maintained exterior that adds to the overall appeal of the place. The service here is awesome! Our waitress was incredibly sweet and hospitable, and she completely understood that we were on a tight schedule with a bus tour. She did an amazing job of being attentive and accommodating without ever making us feel rushed. The food rolled out in perfectly timed layers, and she even offered to refresh our drinks before we could even ask. I initially thought the garlic bread was a bit pricey but was totally worth $12. The focaccia bread was nicely toasted and seasoned with herb butter and four cheese fonduta. Next was the fried calamari with cherry and banana peppers. The calamari was delicious, seasoned perfectly and was a combination of rings and tentacles. Those who enjoy banana peppers might enjoy that they are lightly fried too resemble the calamari, however I'm not the biggest fan and probably should have asked them to hold them. With them being breaded the same as the calamari is difficult to tell them a part so when your taste buds are gearing up for a bite of calamari and instead you bite into a pepper or can be slightly disappointing. For $19 I would prefer more calamari and less peppers. The salads are very good here too. The Roasted Garlic Caesar features a classic Caesar dressing enhanced with a bright hint of lemon and topped with crunchy breadcrumbs. I added salmon as my protein choice, which was cooked beautifully and paired perfectly with the savory, garlicky flavor profile of the salad. This made for a filling and flavorful meal. Tagliatelle - Outstanding homemade pasta and sauce. The tender, shredded short rib ragu is perfectly tossed with fresh noodles. It has an ideal noodle-to-sauce ratio and avoids being overly rich or heavy. A deeply comforting, cohesive dish topped beautifully with parmigiana. Also enjoyed the lobster roll which was served warm with butter on a perfectly toasted brioche bun, accompanied by a side of fries. The rich, melted butter beautifully complemented the sweet lobster meat, and the brioche added a wonderful touch of sweetness and crunch. Really glad that my bus tour stopped here. I'll definitely return and highly recommend!

Ordering was very easy online, even though the prices seemed a bit high. We ordered $109 worth of food...Arancini ($16), garlic bread with cheese($16), Penne al Vodka with sautéed chicken($32), and the Alfredo with chicken cutlet($38). I was expecting a lot for prices like these. The Arancini were 5 pieces the size of golf balls and the flavor was ok, not worth $16, out garlic bread with cheese ($16) was left out of our order, the penne vodka with sautéed chicken ($32) was dry and there were 5 small pieces of chicken, and the baked penne chicken Alfredo had broken sauce, full of grease and almost inedible...I threw out most of it. I expected so much more from this establishment. The parking lot was packed and parking just to get takeout was challenging, but the food and prices were amazingly disappointing. We may try their pizza to see if that is any better, but I would not recommend the pasta dishes. I can see charging g prices like that if the pasta was homemade, but even that is a stretch. 3 stars is generous
