I'm a fan of the Rogers' location. Mandy, one of the bartenders is very friendly & remembers our drink orders when we arrive. I've only sat in the bar to watch football games & the World Series. Never had an issue with service. Decent pizza, salads, & sandwiches. Order is always correct and the food comes out in a timely fashion. I will say I usually go on a Sat or Sun afternoon. I think the time of day is a factor when it comes to service (I used to be a server long ago) but the food should always be consistent, which it has been, in my experience. read more

Stopped in here last night with some college friends. Gusanos serves Chicago style pizza, where the cheese and toppings are on the bottom and the sauce is on the top of each deep dish slice. The restaurant was nice and the staff was very friendly, but I didn't really care for the pizza or the appetizer. We ordered that Carnivore, which has several kinds of meat toppings, but I didn't feel like the pizza had much flavor. One friend raves about the place, the other two seemed indifferent (no opinion either way). Always an average experience, but last night failed to live up to modest expectations. Long story short, we ordered jalapeños as an additional topping to 1/2 a pizza and received them piled so high on that side of the pie the cook either had a couple extra gallons of pickled jalapeños that had to be used at that very moment or was simply the worst pizza chef ever. The kicker came when I politely told the waitress about the overwhelming amount of jalapeños that turned a chicken bacon ranch pizza into a jalapeño pizza with extra jalapeños. Server came by and said something happened from her end to the kitchen and pizza had not been put in oven, she said it was almost done and if we needed any peppers or ranch. We said that we would like them and she said ok. Almost an hour after ordering our pizza arrived but not peppers or ranch. I had to get up after 5 or so minutes to get our server. I wanted to support a local business over a chain so I went out of my way to find this spot and I regret it. My free time with my loved ones is invaluable and I wasted a lot of time for this place. I already paid ahead of time so that was the first problem. The food was great but we had to wait almost an hour and half for the food. I ordered online and I was told a very specific time to pick up and once I arrived it was an additional 35 minute wait. The manager and high schoolers working were great and the place was clearly understaffed and trying to make it work. I was amazed at the quality of pizza and how it reflected the Chicago style pizzas. So; food was great; Amanda our server was excellent and never missed a beat. THIS IS NOT CHICAGO STYLE PIZZA. I should have known when walking in on a Saturday night at 9:20 pm and the the place was practically empty. There wasn't anyone in the dining area. Only customers playing pool in the game room. I won't even go into the two who were making out in the door way of the game room. We order the spinach dip, Chicago style pizza, and a calzone. The spinach dip came out burnt and wasn't spicy like it use to be. It was about the normal time for a Chicago style pizza, but it was a thin crust and the edges were burnt. However, the ingredients were barely hot enough to just melt the cheese. The calzone edges were also burnt. We spent too much money for burnt food ($50). I should have known. I've eaten at Gusano's in Little Rock a million times. We decided to try the one in Rogers yesterday. I asked if we could get the pizza dip without onions (as I've done a million times in LR) and she said "no it's already pre made, they just put it in the oven." This is one of our favs! We had dinner tonight and the food is normally delish but tonight the salad was black and slimy on pieces throughout which is quite off putting. They were extremely short handed which was extremely disappointing. The stress on the staff that showed up for work was quite apparent as they ran around from table to table. I don't really blame anyone but management for the lack of staffing. Seriously - Friday Night - NCAA Tournament in full swing and there is one person taking care of 15 tables and the bar! I couldn't believe they would put that on Whitney who was fabulous! She did her best to accommodate the best she could. We left through the other section from where we sat only to find 10 tables that needed cleaning which happens but the when we got to the host staff on our way out there was a young lady chilling there with nothing to do as she was leaning comfortably against the wall. Total management issues! However, the Buffalo pizza is amazing and us currently the pizza of the month! Hopefully they can get this worked out because the food is great and I do recommend partaking. If they know they have a mouse infestation in the closet. Why keep the closet door wide open??! or Why even put tables near the closet??! We didn't argue with her we just said it was fine. Arrived with a large group of people who had reserved the upstairs room. Waited 15-20 minutes for the waitress to come up to take everyone's order. After about 30 minutes, they only brought up half of the orders. The waitress said that she would be back up when the remaining orders were ready. We waited another 20ish minutes before having to send someone downstairs to check on the orders. Staff was completely clueless as to what happened to the original orders, but did eventually bring up replacement orders for SOME of the remaining group. I, however, never got my food. Despite multiple attempts to inform staff that orders were still missing, my food was never brought up. We we're there for over two hours. When the waitress brought the separate bills for each order, I told her I never got my pizza. She did not apologize. She only stated that there (of course) would be no bill for the pizza. Worst service I've ever experienced. I literally just signed up for Yelp because of how awful the service was. I don't know if this is an isolated problem with this Gusano's location, but this experience has completely soured me on the entire Gusano's chain. read more

I can't ignore reviewing this Gusanos any longer. For years I've wanted it to live up to the awesome one in Bentonville, but it just never does. Last night our 16" pizza was so thin and so sparse on toppings we thought maybe they had no more dough and were running out of toppings. I don't even know if there was sauce on this "traditional crust" pizza. It was the saddest pizza we've ever had. This to go order was not worth the $$ we dropped getting it. I don't know if the turnover is high there or why it is so inconsistent, but if you have time just drive to Bentonville. If you don't have time, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I enjoyed coming to this pizzeria with my family plenty of times throughout the year. Recently, I've been there THREE times, and I've had the same experience over and over. I walk in, and there is NOBODY there to attend us. My family and I wait for 10 minutes, (Which 10 minutes is quite a long time waiting to be seated anyways),and walk out when we are not at all being acknowledged after the waiting time is over.
