I went here with my good friend on a Monday afternoon. It was busy but we were seated almost immediately. We ordered some fried pickles and some rattlesnake bites. The fried pickles are always good but what surprised us was the rattlesnake bites. It was fried cheese balls that had some jalapeño in each bite. It was very good. For my meal, I ordered a full rack of ribs with a cup of chili and rice as my two sides. The rice was not very good. It was dry and the flavor was off. The chili was good, I enjoyed it. My rack of ribs were very enjoyable. The meat was super tender and took no effort to come off the bone. My friend ordered the chicken fried chicken with corn and fries as his sides. He enjoyed his meal as well. Our only complaint about the service was we felt our waitress could have been a bit more attentive. Seemed like she was distracted during our interactions with her. Monday night and this spot was busy. However we got seated quickly with a basket of fresh rolls. Nice and warm and very buttery. Served with a nice cinnamon butter. Looking around while eating a bun I found lots of very fun decor. Appetizers were very good. Nice salty fried pickles with a good dill bite cooled nicely in a good ranch dip. The rattlesnake bites were nicely fried balls of cheese with some jalapeño bits that gave them a nice spice. I had the chicken fried chicken entree with steak fries and corn. My friend got a rack of ribs. I had the cream gravy on my chicken and a side order of more cream gravy. All of my dishes were very good. Yet the standout was the cream gravy. A nice silky white gravy that was such a nice smooth consistency. And the flavor was amazing. Nice and peppery with the right amount of salt. Dipping my very well cooked fries into the side of gravy was amazing. I loved that great potato and gravy combo coming together. The one thing that seemed off was our server. She seemed like she had already checked out. When asked questions she would quickly come up with a blank look before answering. Who doesn't love the rolls and that special butter? Momma wanted steak so off we went. No wait on a late Friday night. Checked in on the app. And we're seated. Almost immediately. Went to the Texas Roadhouse on the first night of a work trip with coworkers and I was pleasantly surprised. First off they had Veteran parking which is a big plus in my book. What can I say??? This place is hit and miss. Last night was packed (Father's Day), and they did a great job getting people in and out. The waitlist said 2 hours and when we got there the hostess said 20 more minutes. At the 25 minute mark he said another 30 minutes. My daughter had the chicken fried steak which was huge and her baked potato was a large steakhouse potato like a baked potato should be. She took a doggie bag. Sadly my experience was a total miss. I had the porterhouse which I asked for medium rare and it came close to well done. The baked potato I got looked like a small russet potato from a bag out of a grocery store, that's how small mine was. Why the inconsistency in potato's is unknown and sad. All baked potato's should be the same but not here. I did send my steak back and asked for rare in hopes it would be cooked properly this time. Sadly, what should have not been long was a good 20 minutes until a manage brought it back. By the time it came back everyone was done eating and I didn't even want it at this point, so it went straight into a box and came home. It looked like it was cooked better this time but it really doesn't matter because it's going to the dogs. What should have been a good Father's Day meal and experience was a let down. Our server Shelby was good, she worked her butt off and tried hard but sadly the kitchen dropped the ball. The redo of my steak was put at the bottom of the list of orders so my meal last night was a roll, a few cheese fries and onion pedals my daughter ordered, the green beans I ordered as a side and a little (literally) baked potato. I had an absolutely phenomenal dining experience at the Texas Roadhouse on East Craig Road in North Las Vegas with my man! From start to finish, the food and service completely blew me away. The highlight of the night was easily the steak--it was incredibly juicy, seasoned to absolute perfection, and cooked exactly to the requested temperature with a beautiful sear. For my side, I ordered the loaded baked potato, and it was flawless; the skin had that perfect, crispy salt crust, and it was piled high with plenty of butter, sour cream, cheese, and bacon. What made the meal even better was the amazing service; the staff was fast, welcoming, and incredibly attentive throughout the entire night. The side salad has hard boiled eggs, cheese, tomatoes, croutons and lettuce. My bf had the ribeye, salad and mashed potatoes. You can tell the mashed potatoes are made with real potatoes. From the handcut steaks in the showcase, to the incredibly delicious dinner rolls, to the steak and baked potato, I was impressed. Kiya was impressive, too, because the place was PACKED on a Sunday afternoon, and she did a great job. I need to say that the 8-oz thick-cut New York strip caught me off guard. Medium-rare was ordered, and medium-rare was received. I'd guess the steak was roughly an inch thick after cooking. Great flavor, nicely seasoned, nice char, perfectly cooked... I was impressed, especially for $21 with two sides. The baked potato was so good that I asked Kiya if I could exchange my steamed veggies (good) for another baked potato. "Of course" with a smile. The rolls? OMG... I had to get some to go. I try to be as honest as I can when writing reviews, so I'll forget it's a chain restaurant and base my review on service, food quality, presentation, cost and ambience. (Cool paintings, relaxed atmosphere.) I did not use the restroom. I drank ice water. I've gotta give this Texas Roadhouse a 4.2. Seriously. My family and I ate at Texas Roadhouse for the first time last night, and let me just say--it is honestly worth the hype! We've heard so many people rave about it over the years, and now I completely understand why. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. Even with our kids with us, they were incredibly patient and accommodating, which always makes a huge difference for families dining out. The portions were generous, and you could really tell that care goes into the way the meals are prepared. And those famous rolls with the cinnamon butter? Absolutely addictive! Weekends at any restaurant that has a wait list seems to be busy. Oh My Goooooodness. So busy. From the wait list to an hour and a half later I was seated. Whew! Another 45 minutes later, I finally got to taste my meal. Good thing I didn't eat all those warm rolls w/the yummy cinnamon butter or I wouldn't have been able to taste my meal. My meal was pulled pork sandwich with broccoli . The broccoli was cooked and seasoned very well. The pork was tender and easy to chew. I wonder why restaurants blast the music ? The music is often so loud, you cannot talk with those you came with or anyone around you. I honestly went home mentally exhausted. Whew chil'd... Sarah was great as the server. Great customer service for such a busy time. She was kind, if she didn't know something she checked on it with some of recent changes to the way items were served. Overall the experience was good once I was able to taste my food. Oh! When you receive your meal, it's a lot of food. Unless you are hungry, you take food home. This review is a petition for Texas Roady to expand into LA, because we need some good BBQ over there. The only downside I had about my experience is that the wait was incredibly long for a group of 7 at 2pm on a Saturday. Otherwise I had the best time. First, the inside of the restaurant is just so fun. TVs, deer heads, logs just a freakin vibe. To start they served the complimentary rolls. These deserve to be in the hall of fame of bread rolls because WOW. My table shared the blooming onion which was aight. I thought the breading was too much. For my main I got the rib and sirloin combo with a side of mac and chili. FIREEE. The sirloin was cooked to medium rare perfection and so juicy. Texas Roadhouse is one of my boyfriend's absolute favorite spots, and honestly, I love it too. There's just something about their food that is always so satisfying, no matter the day. We came in on a Sunday for lunch, and it was the least busy I've ever seen a Texas Roadhouse--which was actually a nice surprise. Getting seated was quick, and our server was pleasant throughout the meal. Our food came out fast, everything tasted great, and we left happy. The only reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars is because the service didn't feel as sharp as what I'm used to here. Several staff members walked by our table without clearing dirty dishes, even when it was obvious they were done. Normally, Texas Roadhouse is spot-on with that kind of attention. It also took a while to get basic things like water, bread, and refills. Usually, I feel like the staff is proactive and checks in before we even think to ask, but this time we found ourselves trying to flag someone down. I only sit at the bar here because the bartenders are always great - super attentive! As soon as I take a seat, I've always been acknowledged quickly and asked for my beverage order. They always bring fresh hot rolls as well - so addicting! This is one of the best things about this place! I hear that not all of the dishes are good - but I am giving a solid 5-stars to the Grilled Pork Chop Dinner. It's definitely worth it to get the double pork chop for just a few dollars more. I often take the second pork chop home and make a meal the day after. The grill on the pork chops are consistently good. It's juicy and flavorful - also it comes with a peppercorn brown gravy. YUM! The entree comes with two sides and I always pick one salad and either a sweet potato or green beans. All of the sides I just mentioned are delicious. The price of my shared dinner of ribs and steak was a little over $35. It was good and enough to share for 2 people. The $5 mango drink was less than desirable and had little taste. It was incredibly loud country music. The baked potato had rock salt pressed in skin and not to our liking. All in all I would not go here again. The server was attentive. We came here to celebrate my hubby's birthday this evening. Since we don't have one near us in SoCal, it's a treat when we are near one. When we first walked in, the hosts were watching videos on one of their phones. It took a couple minutes to notice us standing at the podium. I told them we were in the waitlist and had us stand on #1. The host called my name and told him we wanted to pick our steaks. As he walked us to the table, he asked if we were celebrating anything. I told him it was the hubby's birthday. Our food was great (5 stars) as usual but it was hard to get our server's attention. As we were finishing up, we started hearing the birthday announcements and thought the hubby will be surprised. Server dropped off our check and nothing happened. The host didn't relay the birthday to our server or she forgot. She came back to ask if we needed boxes. We forgot to ask her for some rolls to go. She disappeared. We waited for about 10 minutes. I went up to the bar to ask if we could get some rolls to go. We won't be going back to this location. Service from start to finish was 2 stars.
