Being a Fieri fan, I love going to anything Triple D. This was the perfect opportunity for me to try one of his restaurants. I had a couple drinks at the bar and the mac and cheese, bacon burger. The whole burger was amazing but two things that stood out were the shaved lettuce and the onion straws. Holy cow; was that genius. So good. I hate writing one stars but there is many reasons I did. First the positives, it was very very clean and the hostess are very nice to everyone. The food really wasn't that bad. It was just extremely boring. The reason this place earned a one star review is the price per enjoyment of food and the service. Everything was very pricey and didn't taste great. Trash can nachos tasted like every other nachos you get at a bar. I do not recommend the ribs, they were very dry and had not much flavor. The mac and cheese tasted like the boxed Walmart brand and the coleslaw was super soupy. However the Texas toast did taste pretty good. I was just annoyed that we paid that much money for that. Now the service was terrible. We waited an extraordinarily long time for service and for our food. The waiter also spilt beer on my Aunts phone and apologized but then forgot to bring us napkins to help us clean up? Like you think if you poured beer on a phone you would run to get napkins. When food finally came, I asked for a side of ranch, which didn't come until I was done with my meal. Servers fault time and she apologized. We did have some wings that were overcooked today, but the majority of the food comes out perfectly. The food is very expensive. It really feels like they figured out a good price for each dish and added $8 to it. The weird thing is the atmosphere. I don't mind them promoting Guy, because it is his restaurant (lots of tv's show old shows of his). However, they have a bar area, and they will not change the channel for you. Today, we could have been watching the live Georgia vs Florida State game, but instead, each television in the bar was tuned into the NFL network showing an old AFC Championship game. When I asked about changing it, they told me no, because corporate would not let them. Who goes to a bar to watch old games when there are live games going on? You can not make reservations, they do not answer the phone to tell you that they do not take reservations, nor do they have posted signs at the front door. I was here a year ago and had a less than stellar experience and was told to reach out to them and they would make up for it ( it's been more than a month still no response), they never responded to the email request and even with that trying to give them another chance they missed the mark. I know that they say they are understaffed but when we walked in 3 staff members were at the front podium having the times of their lives. Let's just start with, my husband and I LOVE Guy Fieri. Obviously when we saw this in the Landing, we had to go! The space is very spacious and clean with indoor and outdoor seating. I loved how much room there was because my son was taking a rare stroller nap and we were able to have him stay in the stroller next to our table without being in the way. Our waitress was fun and kind. She had some fun banter with us. The food was good. I don't think I would tell someone they HAVE to try it, but I'm not mad we went. I think the whole table felt that way. The Corn queso was SO GOOD, but the chips served with it were meh. Some were soft and chewy. The wings were good but tasted more like bbq and not Buffalo.
