Took it back promptly and they claimed it was a "faulty crush washer on the drain plug". If I had to guess, it was just installed improperly and they blamed it on a defective washer... Fast forward a to today where I am driving a couple hundred miles later and the skid plate under the engine is scraping on the ground and is barely hanging on by a single bolt. I am guessing they improperly installed the skid plate after the oil change as well. They were nice enough to send some kids over to clean up the oil spill in my driveway, but overall I would strongly recommend taking your car anywhere else but here.

This business has now been purchased by Golden Valkey Tire. I brought my personal vehicle here right after the transition, before I realized what was different. I had a fine experience and got quoted slightly above competitors for some repairs. The experience was reasonable overall, although I did feel like everyone behind the front desk was really judging me for not wanting to proceed with some repair options that I were presented to me. I came back a few weeks later with company vehicles since my employer had used this place in the past, and the vibe had deteriorated so much more. This truly is a Golden Valley Tire owned operation and it's not good. Things went wrong from the scheduling of the appointment. The person on the other end of the line was completely fumbling through the system and muttering to himself. He couldn't figure out how to get things to save even. Of course he didn't tell me that though, so when I showed up there was no appointment. I gave them the simple instruction to give the vehicle an oil change so that it would be ready to pick up later. They emailed me a full inspection report which was thorough and detailed, but guess what? They didn't do the oil change. I guess they wanted some sort of approval, but it was a busy work day and if I tell them it's the only reason for my visit I expect it to get done and the vehicle to be ready when I come to pick it up. This place is a mess right now. I hope they can find a way to improve, I understand transitions can be hard, but...proceed with caution if you're considering being a customer here.

Because of this, the caliper pin backed out while driving, got severely bent, and ground heavily against my wheel and wheel skin. This could have caused a catastrophic brake failure or locked up my wheel at high speed. A mistake like this is a massive safety violation.

Tricia is the worse manager I've ever seen in the history of an auto shop. Who calls their customer names? She called me a dumbass and so on, in exchange she got an ear full from me as well. Even the other customers said I wasn't in the wrong and AutoMax broke their engine by doing some work and not putting any oil in it. AutoMax is has the worse customer service ever...if anyone needs work done I recommend Vidal Auto Services across the street from them. They said if they were the ones who stripped the lug nuts while taking them off they would of replaced them or been honest with me about it.

An auto repair shop recommended Auto Max for exhaust problems, so I called them up and they told me to bring the car in. There was no wait and my Honda was immediately inspected by a mechanic. He showed me what was causing the problem and gave me a quote. He didn't use any salesman tactics on me or pressure me into a decision. Based on my few minutes of Google research, I thought the quote was fairly reasonable. Within the hour, my car was back into its old self and not making farting noises. While I sat in their waiting room, I watched the front desk person interact with customers and I noticed they were friendly and did not use dirty sales tactics.
