This visits sliced lamb meat was tender and seasoned well, crispy veggies accompany with a dollup of fresh tzatziki and a jumbo soft pita to hold it all together. Side Mediterranean salad was okay, mostly cucumber. Tahini sauce is nothing special, more basic raw than a smooth flavored mixed dressing. Service was quick and friendly. They have paper straws, and they did not get soaked and fall apart. Easy going fast food styled interior with a handful of booths and tables along with two tables outside. Easy parking in shared lot with Fred Meyer, disabled friendly. Nice little spot for a quick and healthy meal. Look forward to returning to try some more flavors. read more

Not bad for my first visit. I had just stopped by on my way home when I decided it was time I check this place out. I was greeted with wide smiles as I entered. When I was ready to order, the pretty young woman behind the register spouted off my meat choices and for some reason I picked chicken even though I was looking forward to the lamb or beef gyros. Ate here again last night and decided I needed to finally review it. My meza plate was tasty, no surprise there, and the rest of the family tore into their meals so I'll assume same goes for them, but this place earns top marks specifically for customer service and the baba ganoush. The place is always busy when I go in, to the point where any normal person would be frazzled and annoyed to unpleasantness. I wouldn't begrudge them that feeling, but I never get the chance here, because somehow the people up front maintain their cool in the face of the hangry crowds. Special shout to the tallish blonde woman, don't know her name but I've seen her working multiple times; always goes above and beyond to help and be kind to the customers. And yeah, the BG is the best I've had. I'm no connoisseur, couldn't tell you what makes it authentic or whatever, I just know what I like. It's smooth, smoky and rich and I WILL steal it from my kid's plate, every time. My family lives in the area, and this is one of my favorite places to eat when I come up to visit. You would think with a name like 'Gyro 2 Go' it'd be some mediocre takeout place like hundreds of others. But you'd be wrong. The food here is very good. So far I've had the Combination appetizer sampler, the hummus, the beef shwarma sandwich, and the Chicken kabob plate, and they've all been great. My favorite is probably the shwarma sandwich - the beef is very tender and the fries are excellent too. On top of that, the customer service is always great. There are usually two women that work the cashier at any given time, and they're both extremely friendly but also competent. I've never had any mistakes with orders or anything, and anytime I need something they're quick to produce it. Honestly, there's just literally nothing to complain about here. Service? Good. Food? Great. Parking? No problem. Prices? Fair. Hotel? Trivago. Maybe the _only_ thing I could even think of to complain about is sometimes the male cooks in the back always seem to be standoffish/in a bad mood, but I suppose that's why they're in the back and the friendly girls are in the front. only been here a couple times but will be my go to! super yummy , fast, & great customer service. But to the customer who gave the employee (who was amazing) a hard time called her crazy flipped her off was yelling, who made an unnecessary scene for a silly little mistakes. Not to mention- EVERY human makes mistakes nothing new. Very immature. I was happy to see the owner or manager im assuming jump in and tell her to relax- it shows a lot because sometimes they don't care enough to say something in these situations. ANYWAYS I feel sorry for the employee who had to go through that and all the others who had to deal with this immature grown customer. Gyro 2 Go is a nice if small space to get a quick bite. When I entered I was surprised at how small the entry area is. I think they were to careful to make use of every bit of space they have. The entrance is just to narrow. The food here is good. The fries were better then I expected at a gyro place. Everything tasted good. My Gyro came out fast and hot. I was surprised how big it was (I got the smaller size and couldn't finish it). I wish there was a smaller size of gyro. They fill it so much it is hard to eat! read more

I really loved the food. First day, I got the Gyro Sandwich, very delicious. Second day, I got the Gyro plate, super delicious. The food tastes very fresh and is worth the wait. I usually get my order to go, but there seems to be plenty of space for sitting and enjoying lunch with friends or coworkers. The girl at the register is really nice and as efficient as she can be. She still smiles even when it gets crazy busy in there. With that said, I would recommend calling in your order for pick up, because the food takes a bit to come out (but worth it). read more

Aight, G2G, you've kind of changed my mind about lamb. Maybe I have to have it thinly cut vs big hunks, or this place just spices it right but I'm a convert. Prior to G2G I've always gone with chicken but this time I stick with the traditional gyro. Okay so to the gyro - they have an ace lunch special of $7.99 for drink/fries & gyro. And that gyro is pretty big & delicious. I'm not positive the sauce is the traditional tzatziki but it's still good. The meal deal is fantastic and you'll leave feeling stuffed. But let me gush about the hummus. I f**cking love hummus. I'm the weirdo eating hummus & pita at 7:30am. I'm the person who can eat hummus just by the spoonful. I f**cking love hummus. And here? Here's a good place to get hummus! It's fresh, smooth and made daily. Plus you get a great heaping of their warmed pita bread to take along. Service is great. Wanted to go to Olive Garden, but the wait time of 45minutes caused to try this place and we weren't disappointed. We tried Baba Ghanoush, Chicken Shawarma plate, Chicken Gyro... all of them were pretty good. Baba Ghanoush had a little extra olive oil - did not need that much, but tasted good with the warm bread (which they refilled as we consume the first one). Chicken Shawarma was awesome, their spicy garlic sauce is pretty good... Chicken was flavorful and grilled well. Rice was good too. Chicken gyro had the same ingredients with garlic sauce and same grilled chicken and was pretty good. Gyro House might be slightly better than this one, but wouldn't mind this one if I am in the area. Friendly service and reasonably priced. Would go there again. read more

Oh wow - that was one of the best gyros I have ever ate! It was my first time there and when the lady asked me if I wanted spicy or regular I was like a deer in headlights....then she suggested getting half and half....so that is what I did....oh wow! STILL love this place! The food is always hot and fresh. Portions are borderline TOO big. You get your money's worth here. If you are looming for a good gyro or schwarma, you can't go wrong here. The people are friendly, and bring food to you, which is nice for more of a quick serve spot. The food was good, but the human drama in the shop was what made it a memorable experience. First, the Middle Eastern dude making the food was not too friendly. Without speaking a word, he had a hard, penetrating stare and overall unwelcoming vibe that was impossible to miss. He and a stocker moved about the tiny kitchen sullenly. The bland-mannered and pale-looking teenaged blond girls taking orders behind the counter looked powerless and a bit frightened, making the contrast stronger still. My fellow patrons included a frowning younger couple sitting a table nearby, each silently absorbed in their respective cellphone experience, completely ignoring each other. After a very tense while, the man abruptly left to sit outside alone, to her barely noticing it. They remained apart for the rest of my stay in the shop. The next booth over had a teenage girl repeatedly kissing and hugging a gray-haired Middle Eastern man (her dad, I found out after a bit) while telling him how much she loved him. They looked nothing alike, so it was interesting to watch for about 10 seconds. 5 minutes later it was really disturbing. That went on until the mom and younger brother showed up to break up the love fest. The latter was carrying a bouquet of flowers for the teenage girl, which the mother announced was meant as an apology from him for some undisclosed offense. After the boy quietly shoved the flowers into the girl's hands, who appeared rather unsurprised and unmoved, they both promptly bounced to the nearby Starbucks for caffeinated sugary treats. The parents remained behind chit chatting inanely away. Just a very, very weird atmosphere in there. In all, I doubt I will be back. But if I do, the clientele-watching may be a bigger draw than the food itself. read more

This is a popular place here in Yelpland. I can't quibble much with what has already been said. I'll add this: I had what we call as traditional gyro meat--pork and lamb--but the last two times I've been in the meat was dry and less than flavorful. Granted the toum--the garlic sauce--adds the flavor and moistness component missing from my gyro, but the sauce itself is hot, not particularly garlicky and without any depth of flavor. I'll hold their toes to the fire on that one; the taste of the sauce is a big element of the flavor of a gyro, you can't overcook a cold sauce; in otherwords, this is the flavor they wanted it to be. It's not an old restaurant but it seems to be settling in a bit of a rut. Clues for these issues are tables, chairs and booths could use refinishing or replacing. There's a good layer of dust on things out of the way and on the front house cabinets, there are open and apparently random boxes of to-go supplies. Between these clues and what is a "by the numbers" gyro, I'd say things are running on autopilot. We've got better places in the neighborhood which I'd recommend. As it is Gyro 2 Go's best selling point is it is a place for a quick nosh when shopping. If you haven't been here, have a sense of humor about parking. Parking is on the southwest side of Freddies in the corner in the dark; it can be a rotten experience. Busing? 57 is the best bet. Concerned about ADA accommodations? It's a small place, Fred is next door and somethings are just going to be easier for some needs there before you stop for vittles. read more

These are some good gyros. I went for the giant one, however when I look at my friend's regular one I though that mine wasn't that much bigger or maybe it was. I love it when I am faced with the predicament of "How the heck will I eat this." You gotta pick a little with the fork, and then shove it in your facehole. There are two kinds of gyros I've found, shaved and cubed. These are shaved which leads to a great texture that isn't too grainy. The meat is still very well seasoned and moist. The extra star goes for the fries. How awesome is it that you get seasoned fries. I'm not quite sure what the seasoning is, but it is plenty delicious. For some reason the price point seemed a hair high, but when you consider what you get it wasn't that bad. read more

Holy Gyro 2 Go, I just fell in love! Only a couple miles from home and next door to my main grocery store, Gyro 2 Go is the best lunch choice! The friendly service and accommodating demeanor means I'll for sure be coming back. The Meat Meza was So. Delicious. The baba ganoush has the perfectly smokiness, the kafta was tender on the inside but crisp on the outside, but best of all was the falafel. My brother in law brought food to go and my kids were eating the whole food they loved there Beef Kafta Plate and chicken Plate with rice. Today I decided to drive and order there Gyro Salad and Beef Kafta for my kids. First thing when I came in a young lady was so sweet and helpful to explain to me the food and the size of the plate. Very clean place and my kids loved their dinner, my son could not stop eating how good it was. My Gyro Salad was so good and my daughter also loved her Gyro Salad. The food here is epic! I'd give it 6 stars if I could. The service is quick and efficient and the value for money is outstanding. We had the basic gyros, with fries and spicy sauce on the side. The fries were crisp and beautifully seasoned just on their own but the dipping sauce was so good you could've made a meal of just fries and sauce! But you wouldn't ...because the gyro was enormous, stuffed full of tasty seasoned meat and fresh vegetables in soft pillowy pita bread. So deliciously good! This place was delicious! My gyro was HUGE and for $6 was a pretty good deal! Plus, their gyro meat is wonderful, juicy, and tender. I had originally ordered chicken but the man working insisted that I try "some of the best gyro meat" and he was right. So good. All of the items were prepared right in front, fresh. The chicken was seasoned well and plentiful! The hummus was really good and creamy too and went well with the pita. The jumbo gyro is definitely bigger than it was the first time, still not as good as Gyro House though and a couple dollars more expensive.
