I still can't adjust to this area being called Richmond,TX. I dropped in this place recently to try a Gyro for lunch and got a weird concoction of good intentions. I was inticed to add stuff that didn't belong there. The Gyro meat was pre-diced meat in a warmer.Not shaved.Oh the horror! This has been one of the worst food experiences we have ever had. Everyone there was definitely either high or just didn't care and super slow. The staff didn't care when the line started to build up and proceeded to go out the door. The food was doused in mayonnaise, the chicken was dry as dirt, the gyro meat was clearly old and left out all day, the red sauce tasted like Buffalo sauce. The amount of sauce and topping they put on my food was disgusting, I couldn't eat it. There is nothing Greek, halal, or clean about this food. Worst gyro I've ever had. The food could've been decent had the staff cared more. Maybe fix the AC in the place and they will. read more

I ordered a bowl with rice, chicken, olives, chickpeas, corn, green bell peppers with tzatziki sauce. Firstly, chicken was dry. I had to keep sipping water in between bites because the chicken was dry. The vegtables were good. But something i ate was spicy, im pretty sure it was the tzatziki sauce. I dont like eating spicy foods so it kinda ruined it. I wish they wouldve let me know that it was spicy because usually tzatziki sauce isnt spicy. Overall not bad, but wouldnt go again. read more

So excited this place finally opened! They definitely have a few minor kinks to work out, but the prices are reasonable, the food is great, and most of the staff are really trying! The rice is super flavorful, all veggie toppings look and taste super fresh, meat is well seasoned and not dry at all (unlike some other places that will not be named...). Most importantly, THEY DO NOT SKIMP ON THE SAUCE (there is a small upcharge for extra sauce on the side though). I only wished that all staff wore masks while dishing up your plates, but at least they all wear gloves! I watched all the staff on the line change out for a new set of gloves for each new group they served. Shout out to Amber who helped us- she was super polite, helpful, and service was prompt. Honest and reliably good food. Open late so you can grab a decent healthy meal even if you're a bit of a night owl. The staff is always nice, and the portions are great. Closer commute compare to other halal restaurants to me but my least to-go. Rice plates are typically good, depending on who is assisting, they can either be rude or friendly and your food can either be watery or just right. Fries are always so salty so I personally would skip (even when you ask for no salt). They just use the same bowl for the fries. Wraps are alright as well. Personally, I like their rice plates with loads of veggies of choice. It's like chipotle but halal style. Just point to whatever you want to add! If you order online (either on website or Yelp), there's a fee and it's always cheaper to just order in store. Plus, they're usually not busy, besides lunch time. Plenty of parking spaces, even for firefighters nearby to enjoy a meal. Eat inside or outside on their nice patio and hopefully the mosquitoes don't eat you alive. I also understand if a worker is having a rough day & I have always had respect for anyone in customer service positions However, these reviews weren't lying about the customer service quality. The girl who brought me my curbside lunch order hung up the phone before I could finish my sentence, and didn't say a single word when she brought out my order. No "hello", eye contact, or response when I told her "thank you". I understand these things aren't owed, but a small amount of courtesy would have been nice. I was really looking forward to trying this place. My 10 year old daughter and I went to give it a try a d, unfortunately, the experience was terrible. Although the food was alright, the rudeness of the staff ruined our experience. The person who started to fix our bowls didn't clarify that all bowls come with lettuce. When requested to please take the lettuce of my daughter's bowl, it appears that I have triggered the "let's be rude in front of a child" button. That was completely unnecessary and inaceptable. Said treatment was passed to the person who checked us out, which happened to be worst. To top it off, the charge extra for feta cheese, but the portion received was almost nonexistent. New casual Mediterranean shack located off Grand Parkeay in Richmond. My youngest daughter and I decided to give it a go because of the cool ordering concept. First, the customer pick a base carbohydrate (rice, fries, or pita) or salad to start. Second, customer picks a protein from gyro, chicken, or falafel options. Third, customer can add as many sides ( cheese, olives, tomatoes, jalapeños, etc. ) as desires. Finally, customer picks a sauce from no heat to high heat if desire. Prices are depended on what base a customer picks. Overall, the prices were reasonable. As for the foods, we tried falafel and gyro pita sandwiches. We so added loaded fries with gyro. The gyro and falafel were well seasoned and tasty. The veggie sides were fresh. The pita and fries were not homemade but acceptable due to the fast food concept. Overall, the foods were ok. The failing was in he execution of service. Our foods didn't come out together. Each of our order arrived at different time with the fries coming out last. When the fries came to the table, it was not loaded. We had to walk back to the ordering counter to get our protein, sides, and sauce options. Also, I ask for the receipt, but the cashier threw it into the trash can. All the servers were extremely friendly and they were really trying hard. We believe more training and coordination between the kitchen and front house staffs are needed. The halal, Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean foods shacks in greater Houston area are extremely competitive. I hope this shack can survive, but my family probably will not return. read more
