I LOVE DAMA GRILL!!!…read more I think I've had tried everything on the menu! beef and chicken shawarma are so juicy, tender & flavorful -- make sure you dip them in the garlic and pomegranate molasses that you get for free with your order... it is phenomenal!! Fries are well seasoned and crispy. I highly recommend trying this place!!

This place is all Instagram hype and nothing else…read more The restaurant smelled like urine, the patio reeked of charcoal smoke from the hookah lounge next door, and we had to clean our own table before sitting down. Meanwhile, there were 5 or 6 employees standing behind the counter laughing and chatting while customers were left trying to figure out how to place their own orders on the tablet and clean their own tables. We ordered 3 sandwiches and only got 2. After waiting 20 minutes for the missing sandwich, I asked to cancel it since everyone was already done eating. Instead of apologizing, the staff started lecturing us and asking if we owned a restaurant because they don't apparently bring the whole order together, which makes no sense. You don't halfa$$ an order when you're serving sandwiches... argued about refund and refused to process it Yes, mistakes happen. But when customers are doing the cleaning, teaching themselves how to order, and still not getting their food, that's not a mistake--it's terrible management. Poor cleanliness, awful service, and zero accountability. Avoid this place.

Hungry Pocket makes the best falafel I've ever eaten…read more I started going here in 2009 while attending SMC. It was the first falafel I'd ever tried. Since that time, I have eaten falafel not only in different LA locations but also at locations across the country while living in NYC. Verdict: from coast to coast, Hungry Pocket makes the best falafel I can find. All other falafels seem to taste like dirt in my mouth in comparison. If you don't like falafel, you just haven't tried Hungry Pocket yet. I will edit this review if I find better falafel or if Hungry Pocket has changed/changes their recipe (will be visiting tomorrow for quality assessment purposes). The ambiance is that of a hole in the wall that you only know about if you went to SMC or know someone who went to SMC. You don't want anything to change because the whole point is that it feels like a hole in the wall that no one knows about. The service is direct. You order, they make your food right in front of you, you get it when it's ready, you eat it, and you are grateful. The baklava is also the best baklava. You should get a piece for dessert. Thank you, Jeff!!!

It is new to us and for some reason we never saw it. You walk in and place your order at the counter and they give you a number. The service there is very nice and friendly. They will help you with the menu. The food we had there was great. I love Turkish coffee and Naab serves great Turkish coffee. We had their Lentil soup and it was some of the best with just the right amount of spice. We also loved their salmon and they have great rice and salad. The Chicken shawarma wrap has so much chicken and it is so flavorful and not at all dry like some wraps at other places. The steak kebabs are cooked perfectly and so tender. It is all great. Have fun.

I've never ordered the lunch special, but it's prominently featured at the counter. My typical order for two is either a single wrap plate to share, or two different wrap plates, so that we can each share both - with enough to take home. The inside of the location is clean white tile, with wood tables and a few TVs. The servers are friendly. My first visit was because they are located near Costco, my subsequent visits have been because they have delicious food at wallet friendly prices

I was excited to find Tut's Egyptian Cuisine nearby. We sat on the patio, and the propane heater definitely came in handy since it was a little chilly. I ordered the Koshari since that's what I had before and really enjoyed. Unfortunately, this one didn't hit the same. Instead of being full of flavor, it mostly tasted like pasta with a pretty bland tomato sauce. It was disappointing. Someone in my party had the sautéed shrimp bowl and liked it, but overall everything else felt pretty forgettable to me.
