The wife was begging for a gyro for a few weeks, and inside the Fountains Plaza I was able to fulfill her wish at this Gyroville. This would be our first visit to this location although they have a few other shops in Broward and Dade counties. Upon entering, a woman behind the counter yelled, "Welcome." She gave us a brief intro of the simple wall menu. We both ordered the Build Your Own Lamb Gyro. My gyro was so packed with toppings that it was difficult to eat with vibrant red peppers and chunks of cheese falling out of my pita onto the metal serving tray and scooped out every item into my jaws. It was an eating frenzy and I was not ashamed. The store had a rustic decor with shellacked wood tables and an industrial cement flooring and an open rafter ceiling with hanging orange cased led lights from long wires. The food posters on the walls provided a glance of the healthy nutritional value of a gyro - although a heavy meal it was loaded with veggies and meat protein. We had a groupon for this and went online to see what to order. It was a $30 groupon for food and drink for $15,00. After selecting, we realized we could not order on line and had to go inside. The place was clean and the staff friendly, but were difficult to understand. The online order said we would owe them. We decided on 1) one Pita Combo- Gyro meat, homemade tzatziki and with lettuce, onions, tomatoes and fries. It said it came with a side (fries) and a beverage. for $18.49. However , to add a beverage, even a bottle of water was an additional $3.00, making it $21.49. Since that made no sense, we opted for no beverage. But they said it CAME with a beverage. Next we ordered a 2) Build you own pita, where we selected gyro meat, jalapenos, tomatoes and lettuce, which came to $13.99. So the total was $32.48 plus tax. With the $30 groupon, we would owe $2-5 more. No problem. However, they said we owed them about $38 plus tax as they kept insisting we didn't add the additional $2 here and $3 there. We couldn't' communicate well enough, and they ended up getting so frustrated they grabbed the groupon and shoved the food at us and waved their hands to go away. What???????? It was clearly on THEIR website (the menu) - what changed for them? What did we miss? There was a lot of food, but the gyro meat lacked enough seasoning. Based on how we were treated, they need to get a manager or the owner to really look at the website and resolve their issues. I was pleasantly surprised by this Gyroville. Normally in the past what I got was over spiced, over sauced dishes that were too intense. The staff did the job efficiently and quickly and what they served up was mighty good. I had the vegetarian trio which is a mound full of food and my dining friend had the gyrpo plater. We both walked out happy. The seating arrangement in this restaurant is rather awkward with 7 tables with 2 seats each inside, it looks like the booth type set up had to be changed. This location also features outside dining which is great for a cooler night. Prices were reasonable, if not lower than most. Sauces were great, I recommend you ask for them on the side. Plenty of parking around the restaurant as it's located in The Fountains. Having a tv show you what you are buying is a nice touch. Went to this Gyroville with my family of five and everyone was satisfied with their food. Two of us had the gyros, two of us had the mix which has both gyro meat and chicken on it and I had the falafel. Two of us had fries with our meals and one had the stuffed grape leaves. My falafel consisted of 3 pieces of falafel and most places will normally put in 4 pieces. Not that big of a deal as it was still good. Not the best I've eaten but it was good. I like that you can get it custom made with whatever toppings you want on it. Their hummus and tzaziki sauce is great and the toppings were nice and fresh. The fries were perfectly crispy on the outside. It was very clean in there and the servers were very nice. This gryoville is the closest to me and I'm glad it's close because it's the best one that I have been to, by far! The staff was friendly right from the get go and welcoming. I came with my wife who was here for an event and they walked us through everything they had on the menu. I decided to get the mixed spicy gyro which comes with chicken and gyro and then filled with whatever I want. I got tzaziki, olives, lettuce, onions and cuxumbers. Everything was super fresh and while the meats were both good, there really wasn't any heat to it so I was a little disappointed. Overall though the food was great! I got a side order of the grape leaves and they were basic as well, not my favorite but good enough to eat! If you order a combo you get a fountain drink for free. The staff was super friendly and the two guys working were super fast with pumping out the orders and they continuously changed their gloves making me very grateful and happy to see they cared about cross contamination. Was in the mood for some mediterranean and stopped by Gyroville located in The Fountains plaza. It's in the inner part of the plaza with street parking directly in front of the restaurant. There are some other shops on the row so finding a spot can be tricky if come by at busy hours. If there isn't anything in front there is always plenty of spots in the lot around it. The staff was all very friendly and eager to help with my order. I did the make your own Pita with chicken. There were a ton of veggie ingredients to pick from. The pita bread was so good, very soft and fresh. The tzatziki is one of my favorite sauces and it did not disappoint here, it's made well. The gyro was a decent size and was very good. I ordered a side of fries as well and those were amazing. I'm not sure if they double fry them to get an extra crisp but they were very crunchy (my favorite). I can't stand a soggy french fry so these definitely hit the spot for me. The total was around $17 for a gyro, fries and a drink which honestly is a lot for what you are getting. Was in the mood for Gyros so I looked up Yelp and gyroville popped up on my list. I'm so glad I came here, gyroville is a fast concept Eatery similar to Chipotle or any place where you could build your own pita, Bowl, or salad. I ordered a regular gyro with my choice of fixings and we also got a gyro Bowl with rice, lettuce and all the toppings. Their sauces are fresh and tasty and I was able to get the sauce on the side for one of the Gyros that I took to go. We also tried Greek fries that were topped with tomatoes feta cheese and special sauces, that was a very tasty side. To finish we tried the baklava that was super juicy one bit and into but not overly sweet. The staff at this location is extremely nice and accommodating and I happened to run into the owner as well. She came up to us and made sure our experience at gyroville was exceptional. Parking is free in the shopping plaza and I will definitely be back to have some yummy Gyros. read more

I love a good Greek salad and gyro but during the Yelp event I decided to try the pita melt with the spicy feta tzatziki (pink). It was delish and certainly hit the spot. One of my favorite go to spots for a quick build your own pita. The staff is always quaint, and attentive. It's usually never packed especially for being a small restaurant, and I don't know why, the gyros are so good. I get a pita, with gyro (beef and lamb meat), with lettuce and tomato, and cucumbers (if you like red onions you should definitely add that). For my sauce I like the original tzatziki sauce. It also comes as a combo, which you can get a side of fries with and a drink. I also wanted to try the spinach jalapeño tzatziki sauce so I got a side of that which was a good dipping sauce for the fries. And I have to mention the drink bc I just have to.
