Great spot to grab one of my favorite brand of ice cream. This made my day. Great customer experience which got me to taste a few flavors before settling with sea salt truffle. I am excited to try their other sweet treats.

I love coming here to eat ice cream. It's always very clean, and the service is good and fast. I can try all the flavors I want. The quality and taste of the ice cream are worth the price. It's very easy to get to, and the people who work there are always friendly.

Alex says her sorbets were delicious!

We came back to this Haagen Dazs shop and we were greeted with a smile this time around by their employees. Ciclaly took care of our orders and apologized profusely for our experience the last time we were here. Needless to say, they made everything right! We will definitely be coming back in the near future! I'm

Another late review here, whoops…read more Can I tell ya'all how stoked I was to walk around Serramonte Mall and find AMAUSAAN UJI MATCHA? Just the mention of "matcha" and I am there, so even before I approached the store to peruse the menu, I knew that I had to go there and try something. Not just an ice cream parlour, AMAUSAAN UJI MATCHA is a matcha specialty sweet shoppe that specializes in a range of matcha-based desserts, including lattes, soft serve, and traditional Japanese desserts. This location of the Japanese dessert café was uber kawaii ("cute" in Japanese) in décor with a kimono-dressed white rabbit standing beneath lit lanterns, welcoming guests at the entrance. Pink walls and faux cherry blossom trees created a serene atmosphere, inviting patrons to savour their treats in a tranquil setting reminiscent of a cherry blossom festival in Japan. I did my research - AMAUSAAN UJI MATCHA is a tea brand that offers Uji matcha, regarded as the highest grade of matcha in Japan, sourced from the renowned Amausaan farm. This store's menu featured a delightful selection of cones, parfaits, cakes, smoothies, sodas and more, most of which were infused with the rich and vibrant flavour of matcha. Below are some items that we ordered: K2 Uji Matcha Latte with Matcha Soft Serve & K1 Royal Uji Matcha with Matcha Ice Cream Ball - For a more pronounced matcha taste, it was worth paying extra for the floats of a swirl of soft serve and a scoop of ice cream. B1 Double Matcha - V ordered this creamy soft serve infused with high-quality Uji matcha, served in a cone. Despite the silky and smooth texture, V was meh over the flavour. L1 Ice Royal Uji Matcha & L2 Ice Matcha Latte - Unlike K1 & K2, these yummy FLOATS were automatically served with matcha soft serve toppings. Both offered perfect balances of sweetness and bitterness with each sip. E1 Inari Chidori Matcha Mille Crepes - I was excited to dive into the 18 layered delicate sheets of sweet crêpes, separated by even airier layers of light matcha-flavoured whipped cream, topped with a dust of green matcha powder. Surprisingly, I wasn't blown away by this cake as I expected. Just ok I found this dessert to be. I was sad to see AMAUSAAN UJI MATCHA leave the Serramonte Mall.

Because who doesn't love a super cute themed Japanese dessert place? I guess with the location being in the mall, the lack of staff, ingredients or what not, the entire parfait section of the menu wasn't available and I can only order a drink to go and it was served in a to go cup instead. Just tasted like a standard sweet matcha milk with some matcha ice cubes. The interior was cute, but that was it. A good part of going to a place like this is to enjoy the presentation and atmosphere, so it killed a bit of the vibe. Fingers crossed that this place survives or this franchise gets revitalized elsewhere or tries in SoCal!

One thing I didn't realize is that if you decide to get more than 1 flavor, they will automatically mix it all up for you. So if you want to have two flavors separately, you will need to tell them that upfront. There are only a couple of small tables available for seating here.

Blinds were half drawn already. You were out of three different tubs of ice cream. No cones - or waffle bowls. Over 50% of your toppings were out. The girls in front of us must have asked for 6 different things. Every answer by your "staff" was, "we're out of that." As I was trying to have a date night and a good attitude, I still proceeded to order the Birthday Cake Remix. Out of hot fudge. Got it anyway without it. The "staff" was clearly annoyed with each other. The girl at the cash register was sitting on the counter and barely talked. She just tapped away at the screen with her nails and then handed me a receipt. Then I had to ask for a spoon for my ice cream and you would have thought I asked her to clean the toilet. I dared not ask for a napkin. Who is managing this location? I implore you. Shut it down. You're a disgrace to the rest of the locations who actually care.

Honestly, they taste even better when you haven't had them in a while. I love their pastrami sandwich on Dutch crunch bread. This grocery/convenience store has your typical products you would see, like liquor, sodas, snacks, i.e., candy, chips, ice cream, but they even sell things like shampoo, cold/flu meds and lottery tickets! The store may have what you need so you won't have to run to Target, Walgreens or CVS. They don't have music or a tv in the background; it's quiet and peaceful. We noticed this because it was Super Bowl Sunday and they don't have a tv, so we had to go online to check the score. *** OUR PICKS*** RIB EYE STEAK SANDWICH W/SWISS CHEESE ON DUTCH CRUNCH ~ While ordering this, I told myself, this is gonna be GREAT! I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into this sandwich! But when I took a bite, all I could taste was salt?! I'm not sure if the steak was over seasoned or the Swiss cheese made it salty from being cooked, but I've never had that happen when making a sandwich at home. Since there's no place to eat it at the store, we took it home and tried adding more lettuce and avocado to offset the saltiness, but even that didn't help. By the end of the day, I couldn't get my ring off my finger! It was swollen from the amount of salt in the sandwich because that's the only thing I ate. I drank lots of water, but I became bloated. Next time, I'll nix the cheese and order another kind of sandwich and hopefully have a better experience. 3/5 ROAST BEEF & PASTRAMI W/PROVOLONE CHEESE ON DUTCH CRUNCH ~ this was better than the steak sandwich. My guy had this one. It was salty, but it didn't overpower my tastebuds or the sandwich. I only took a bite to try. 4/5 While jalapeño peppers and pepperoncini are sour, spicy and salty, the meat shouldn't be overwhelmingly salty too then the whole sandwich wouldn't be pleasant to eat. There needs to be something bland to balance it. Now in this steak sandwich, I didn't even add jalapeños or pepperoncini. I only had pickles, onions, lettuce, tomatoes. Yet the salt cut through it all and hit me. I believe someone got overzealous with the salt shaker not realizing it was too much. Of course, the customer finds out after taking a bite! Though I think there should be some quality control in making sure it's done right. Maybe taste testing should be a thing. We may come around again and give them another shot. We really enjoyed it the first time and we were hoping for a repeat, but disappointingly, it didn't go as planned.
