We are devoted Peet's Coffee fans. We have a French Press from the whole beans we pick up at our local Potrero Hill Center location. Today we were are Serramonte Center in Daly City, California shopping at one of the .ost crowded malls in the country!Needing beans for our Monday French Press coffee, we dropped into this store which located in parking lot of the great complex. I was immediately greeted by a very enthusiastic Francesaska who took my order promptly which includes a 1lb bag of whole beans 1/2 pound Arabian Mocha Java and 1/2 Cafe Domingo and a fruit scone from my wife in the morning. Francesaska took my order and quickly went to fill my order after offering Peets complementary cup of coffee when buying beans. She stayed focus on my order while two other team members took orders for other customers or prepared coffees drinks. Impressive operations and friendly team. I did notice a full house of customers filled every seat inside and out. Many had been "camped out" for hours accordingly to a fellow customer stated, which says alot about how people enjoyed a comfortable setting. I got my coffee beans, free coffee and scone as I went on my! Nice friendly Peet's location which has been servicing the San Francisco Bay Area since 1966 and who's owner taught StarBucks team how to roast coffee in the 1970s. read more

I've always been a Starbucks customer, but after trying a drink from Peet's Coffee outside Serramonte Mall for the first time, I was instantly hooked. When I returned the following day, the same employee who had taken my order noticed that my drink had not been prepared, even though customers who ordered after me had already received theirs. Jen (or Jenny) immediately took the initiative to make my drink herself, which I truly appreciated. What impressed me even more was that when I ordered again, she remembered my name, exactly what I wanted in my drink--chocolate and extra whipped cream--and how I liked it prepared. Despite the busy environment, with around 15 customers ordering after me, her attention to detail and memory were remarkable. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and hardworking. I also noticed her consistently restocking supplies, refilling napkins, and keeping the area clean--going above and beyond instead of standing idle when there were no customers in line. Employees like her make a lasting impression, and I wish more businesses had team members with her level of dedication. The location itself is clean, well-lit, and welcoming. There is ample seating both indoors and outdoors, making it a great spot to relax, especially on a warm day. This has quickly become my new go-to place for breakfast and drinks. The only tip I'd offer is to arrive early, as seating fills up quickly after 10 a.m.--and I'd much rather enjoy my drink and sandwich in comfort than in a hot car. read more

A great beginning to the end of October with the iced pumpkin chai latte and seasonal apple danish. I highly recommend this pair if you want to taste October before we bid it adieu. I'm sad that I've only just now come to Peet's to try this as I would have been obsessed with this combination all Halloween season! The iced pumpkin chai tastes very unique to the PSL at Starbucks. Its full bodied flavor is full of pumpkin spice with the right amount of a melodic chai ringing in the background. The apple danish was delicious, especially warmed. Peet's Coffee may not be for Mr. At least the experience we had at this location wasn't a hit. Dear Hubby and I were running errands in the area. We decided to give Peet's a try, versus our regular spot. Only the cashier was friendly among the staff we interacted with. The other crew members seemed robotic and like they wished they weren't at work. The coffee drink was BITTER, I mean disturbingly so. It was not pleasant to drink. I am frugal enough that I didn't throw it out, but I really didn't enjoy the taste. For the reasons above, I don't think we'll be returning to a Peet's anytime soon. read more

This Peets coffee is hit or miss. The misses have either been them not listening to my order by not adding the whipped cream, or no syrup, or replace with oatmilk, but when they get it right, they get it right. Also, some of their flavors are just awful. Like their grapefruit cold brew. You read that right, it's just as gross as it sounds. Even their passionfruit drink tea that I had last time was a 2 star drink. Just tasted off. This review is for their Derby drink from their new bar menu. Non alcoholic bourbon, milk, maple syrup, espresso, served hot. I added whipped cream at $7, it's pricey but an excellent addition to their menu when done this well. I order and come into the store way too often for my drinks to made awfully and be treated rudely. I always get two drinks, there's always an issue with one or the other, and sometimes even both. It's so inconvenient because I don't mind asking for something I paid for to be remade, but multiples time the workers have gotten upset (whether it's because it got busy or they don't want to remake it) either way, if the customizations were followed in the first place, none of this would happen. The service also needs to be worked on by a few as it appears they're incapable of saying "you're welcome" too. It's very rare that the barista's here make your order accurate. And they'll not even going resolve it until you insisted. They have a terrible service here. It's always a disappointment, especially their lead Maria. I just found out that's their lead. No wonder this place has this kind of service. Last time she lied on saying she heated up the milk that she added but I saw it myself that she just poured the milk from the box to added to my coffee. And she have the right to give you attitude So if you want to chill shouldn't come to this place . As if their drinks are free and they're just giving you a favor that's how you get treated here. My first visit to Peet's ended with the purchase of a hot pumpkin delight. I felt comfortable communicating with the employee, because he was friendly and was happy to respond that they could make the pumpkin oat latte in a hot version (their menu only lists it as a cold version). The atmosphere inside this place felt so cozy that even my boyfriend (who was hungry) said he wanted to sit here longer. I took away one star for the fact that the cold version of the drink indicated jelly and once I had hot matcha with a boba, which was good! Worst Peet's I have ever gone to. It started off with the mobile ordering app not working, my order would not go through and it charged me $20, 3 times. So I decided to see if I could talk to someone inside the store to help me, the manager was called over and she was extremely rude and just told me to wait. She then asked if she could take my order so I gave her the exact same order that I was going to get through the mobile app (iced pumpkin spice latte with oat milk, a ham and Swiss sandwich and a bacon, egg and cheddar on brioche). I wasn't given any help and she asked me to pay.... Again. I totally understand that the app problems weren't her fault but it was just the fact she was so rude. So now I'm $80 into today which isn't something I can really afford as a college student. (The whole reason I was treating myself to Peet's is because I passed all my midterms.) Right away when I walked in I was greeted and I felt like a valuable customer. What amazed me was the accessibility to things like plug and counter to stand. I love to sip my tea standing but that's another story. Lastly, a staff saw me working hard and said, "welcome home" I really felt in my heart that she meant every word. This Peet's is in the Serramonte center and while the coffee was okay, I found the baristas pretty unfriendly - no greeting, no response when greeted, just tell me your order and gtfo lol. Really sad because pretty much every Peet's location, I found the baristas much friendlier than that other chain from Seattle, so this really stood out for me. Other than that, seating is pretty limited in this location - probably space for the equivalent of 6-7 two tops, so it's not a great location if you intend to sit for awhile. Parking is also a nightmare - closest spot was across the lot, in front of MOD Pizza. If I was shopping in the area and needed caffeine, I'd stop in, but I'll look for another spot when I need to get a little work done. read more

The Pete's coffee on 16th/Potrero pays attention to customers orders, I've watched them many many times and it taste great. I wish this place do the same. I wanted a Americano latte and the lady at the cashier said they don't do that but "an espresso with some will do" I said "ok" I was so happy when I got to my car which only few steps away, the damn this is warm not hot just plain warm to cold. The Peet's Coffee empire just continues to expand into our nation's suburban areas and this can only be exemplified by this location in an outdoor strip mall that serves as a new addendum to the venerable Serramonte Shopping Center in Daly City, California. Open for a little under five years now, this location of Peet's Coffee is located near department stores Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx among others and is easily accessible via the Serramonte Boulevard exit off when headed south on Interstate 280, but slightly harder to access when headed north of Interstate 280, when one exits off of Hickey Boulevard. What brought me to this location recently was of course a shopping trip with a friend, as parking at the Serramonte Center is not only easily accessible, but plentiful so after enjoying lunch nearby, we also thought that a simple trip to the local coffee shop was just what our taste buds ordered. This location of Peet's Coffee is rather simple, as they are bounded by walls on both sides with the daylight coming in through their front doors and windows. This simplicity of their interior allows for an ordering counter that's directly in view of the front door, which is actually nice, as it makes waiting in line to make our order simple and fast. Despite being a newer location, the menu here is still rather old school as they are not on flat panel screens as many of their newer locations tend to have them. Of course they have the traditional coffee drinks from drip coffee to cold brew, along with the requisite Espressos, Cappuccinos, Latte, in addition to Blended Drinks that they call Frappes and Teas, which incidentally notice that all new locations are called Peet's Coffee, instead of Peet's Coffee & Tea as it was once called. But what consistently stands out to me is that Peet's Coffee always seems to update their specialty coffee drink menu to adapt to the seasons and time of year we are in. And on the day we visited it was no different as they were proudly promoting their Churro and Sweet Cinnamon drinks, which were offered in a variety of ways including as a Latte and Cold Brew. But I decided that I ordering a medium-sized Iced Churro Caramel Macchiato was the way to go as it has a cinnamon-y syrup, buttery caramel, sweet ristretto shots of espresso, as well as cinnamon-sugar-infused milk, all topped with a swirl of even more caramel. This was a sugar inducing coma just waiting to happen, while my friend opted for a small-size Iced Havana Cappuccino which was a bold espresso swirled with sweetened condensed milk, topped with creamy steamed milk, and finished with a warm cinnamon kick. Since they weren't super slammed with customers when we arrived, it didn't take too long for our drinks to be ready for pickup on their back counter, and although there was no seating available inside, there were two patio tables set up directly in front of their store and available for seating. Our drinks were a nice sweet touch to the traditional coffee drink, with the only caveat that I have was that both of our drinks were filled with way too much ice, which made for our small drinks to feel even smaller and therefore less enjoyable since there was so little to drink up! I also wish they had Frappe versions of their Iced Churro Caramel Macchiato as no doubt these frozen blended drinks would sell well, but alas Peet's doesn't even have this option on their Members Only menu on their app. I've realized it just depends on which Peet's you go to, to see if they are willing to make you a special drink with blended being a special option. After what's better than a churro, especially when it's a churro dipped in caramel? Not much as far as I'm concerned, and they have a winning flavor currently at Peet's Coffee that may not last long, but at the very least they have this convenient location with a hard working staff to keep your caffeinated dreams afloat! read more

Idk what it is but there is a certain gal who is extremely and I mean extremely rude to me and for no reason. I come happy smiling always saying good morning and she is always sour. Doesn't say hi or good morning, smirking and looks annoyed clearly having no interest in what I'm saying. She always makes my experience uncomfortable so this morning I finally made a comment to her about her nasty attitude and still no care in the world. I would than order and I order the same drink so no surprise there but when I get my order, stuff is missing (ex: whip, cinnamon powder). I'll ask the barista about it and they explain it wasn't on their screen. I have my daughter as witness as she hears me ordering. So I started realizing that even with me saying my order at the register, she simply isn't including it when I order. I've continued to come as everyone else is great and welcoming and I like my drink but thinking about not coming here and take my business elsewhere bc I don't deserve such treatment. I use this location occasionally when doing shopping around. The baristas are pretty unfriendly - no greeting, no response when greeted. They always so annoyed when I buy beans and they need to pack them. They never know which beans they have in stock or which ones are out. Last time I paid for 1/2 pound beans but they were out of these beans, so instead of returning money back, they insisted to take the other beans (cheaper $3 less per lb ) and were annoyed when I asked for money return. Oh and they never tell you that if you buy 1 lb beans you get $5 towards you cup of coffee. read more
