Customer service is very bad and they always seem to open a few minutes late. This location is also very messy and unorganized.

Do you remember when H&M was only in NY or the east coast? I've still got clothing from them that have lasted that long. I also have clothing from a year ago that are falling apart. I'd say you can draw your own conclusions from that, but their quality has suffered and the style in certain departments have suffered through the manifest destiny out west. Not so much this location in particular, but basically in general. They have a pretty prime spot on the back side of the Spectrum. The much smaller and far less vast mens section is on the left and everything else is womens. What's good about them is they have a lot of good variety for the true hipster versus just normal guys, but sizing is somewhere between euro and standard. Everything is skinny here, collars, waists, leg openings, wrist openings, scarves. I do find their socks to be quite comfortable though. I like their coats, but it almost seems like they have multiple designers doing their mens clothing because I can see drastic changes throughout. I like their easy iron fabric. I think the store is great and fairly inexpensive so often when I'm out and forgot a coat, feel under dressed or overdressed I can always swing by here and pick something up and not worry so much about it's care like with Express or the newer CK fabrics. They have some decent accessories, but in recent years their quality too has declined so here like in many things in life, buy nice or buy twice. I'll often pick up some pieces here and phase them out within a year or two. read more

Poor customer service. I ordered a shirt online for my nephew. It arrived with holes and stained - super strange. I brought it to their store to return. I spoke with 3 employees (including manager, Christina) who each insinuated that I damaged the shirt and refused to return it. The suggestion that I would damage and return a $5 shirt is insulting. This shop is a great place to find clothes at a great price. But unfortunately the lady who checked out the clothes my granddaughter bought the forgot to take off the security tag. She wanted to wear it to school and then saw the tag and couldn't wear it. Also she bought a shirt that was to small and went to return it and they wouldn't let her return it without the credit card. H+M south coast plaza.LONGEST EVER CHECKOUT LINES ALWAYS!!! ..just waited for 15mins in line again here..i know its Dec 14th but I was here 6 months ago and it was the same thing!!!..I am amazed how they can leave their customers waiting so long in line who are spending hard earned money and YES there was another two registers not being used.I love H+M boxers and stuff but unless you have a lof of patience do not use H+M in souyt coast plaza!!...Come on H+M management,show your customers a little more appreciation and put more people on registers,,NEVER HAVE TO WAIT THIS LONG ANYWHERE!!!! read more

My sister loves this place and i know they have some cute stuff so i decided to go in. I found a hoodie that i liked and wanted to see if it came in black. I ask the guy working. He was folding some cloths didnt seem to want to make eye contact back. He mumbled without even looking at me. You can check online. If i wanted to look online i wouldnt be in the damn store! Love it. Esp with the 40% off coupon. Suckas. This store has extremely bad management though. EXTREMELY. The last black friday 2011, people were fighting in the store, stealing stuff and running off, nothing happened. If you plan to wait in line for black friday, go somewhere else like SCP. Because, you will get screwed by management here. How? People will cut in line and management won't do shit! All the people behind us ran into the store and ran out with handfuls of merchandise. I had a very good experience today at this store today. After my daughter realized she lost her bag with money and other stuff in it, she went back to the dressing room to look for it. The gentleman (with glasses) working there listened to her with patience and empathy. It may not be so much money for adults, but it's a lot for a teenager who saves and earns every penny before shopping. He understood that. He helped to check lost&found, made phone calls to ask others, and went above and beyond to look around the store. Eventually someone found it. We appreciate the understanding and help we received while shopping at H&M today. read more

pros...this place has some really cool clothes, and they are quite reasonably prices. i bought two hawaiian shirts there for my clinic, cause fridays are hawaiian shirt day! buy one get the other free. great deal. and the wife also likes to go. the only other one i have ever went into was the one in san francisco. cons...there isn't one in san diego, yet? i hear there will be one soon in plaza bonita soon. so if this is true, i can go down the street from my clinic and get more hawaiian style shirts for fridays! yeah, hawaiian shirt fridays! read more

This place is a bit crowded and check out is slow, but I think it's worth the wait because the prices and selection are awesome. One star off for the majority of the fashions being for boobless people. Makes me wanna cry. read more

This review is for the new relocated store at the spectrum. Much bigger and better selection. At the moment it's well organized and clean, but we'll see how it goes after they have been opened a while. Music is super loud to the point where I couldn't keep shopping there. This store is alright, it's just like every other H&M. They have pretty much horrible service, with employees that do not even ask if you are finding everything ok. The H&M in the Mission Viejo Mall, the have a bigger selection and their mens department is a lot better. They also have a legit kids department. read more

The store is not organized, the customer service is non existent, and the cashiers are not grateful for your shopping. Especially Tien. She didn't ask if I found everything okay, there was no 'how's your day?', she didn't smile once (and I was in line for about 10 minutes) and she didn't thank me for my business or say even 'have a nice day'. Drove from Fullerton on a Sunday night to buy some work-out clothes before they closed, but they didn't have a fitness section! Employees told me the closest near Spectrum is at Mission or South Coast. The store itself was pretty messy, but, again, it was Sunday night before closing. Other than that, they had a decent collection of men's clothes. read more

Overall I am a fan. They have a good selection of accessories and tops. The prices are cheap for a quick "buy" when you need something for a night out. The staff have always been helpful with me. Last night I stopped in to exchange some things for my mom and the cashier was rude from the moment I got in the empty queue. I've worked in customer service or forward-facing roles at much more prestigious establishments than H&M, and I have been treated poorly as an employee in those roles, so I am not difficult or rude to people who provide services for me because I have empathy for their position. That being said, the cashier was dismissive, brisk, and uninterested from the moment our conversation started. She only got worse as the transaction went on. I paid money for a product. Someone needs to explain to her that as a customer I am entitled to basic politeness. Beyond that point, I was especially friendly and clear with her. I was not aggressive, not on my phone, not trying to haggle or get special treatment, etc. How am I annoying you by being a decent customer? Get your act together. read more

Affordable price, good quality clothing (requires a little patience and shrewdness). Pay attention to the size of the clothes and be sure to try the clothes before you buy it. Don't rush and buy new clothing that was placed on the mannequin at that time (urg... I know it's on trend) because you're going to get a hugely better deal after the trend is over (a tremendous discount on that clothing). I remembered last time during the Coachella event, they sold a Coachella top for $11.95 and after the event was over it was discounted to $5 only (surprise! don't waste your money! be patient!) It happened most of the time in H&M. Tips: They have so many great deals on Black Friday and after a fashion season is over. Try to hoard as much as you can on these occasions but stay wise and be sure to have a list on your mind which one you need or you might end up with a bunch of useless clothes on your bag (don't be blind with their deals, i know it's hard but try :p) read more

I just bought a dress in two colors of the same size. When I got home and tried each of them on, one dress was probably a few sizes smaller than the other. I visited the H&M store earlier this afternoon. I found 2 pairs of shoes that I liked. I noticed that each pair is connected with a Wire and have a store alarm attached to. I went to the cashier and asked them to remove the alarm from the shoes, the cashier asked me what size shoe do I were and I said size 10, he said nobody can fit in this shoes and he has tried all the shoes and none of the shoes fit him. I have heard of up sale but never heard of down sale before in my life, he removed the alarms and hand me the shoes back as I was walking toward the only 2 chairs in the store I realized that there is still another set of strings attached to the shoes, by now I have realized that the store is not planning to let me try the shoes and really do not care to sell me the shoes.
