I was looking for some baby clothing as a gift so stopped by this store a few times recently. The store was very clean, organized, and well-stocked. The associates were helpful. The guy cashier wasn't as friendly as the woman but he's okay. She would always greet with a smile and asked if she can help with anything. This carters store is run really well. The women working here are always kind and helpful. The store is clean and organized. I always enjoy bringing my daughter in. She loves using the dressing room to try outfits on. So many cute girl clothes! And definitely check out the clearance racks lots of sizes and great deals. read more

I love shopping at this Carter's store! It's located in a busy shopping center, but there's lots of parking! The customer service is always friendly and I usually get greeted with a warm welcome. Also, they have a hassle free return system (even if you don't have a tag) and they can look up your receipt if you're in their system. I went straight to the clearance rack and bought a few baby clothes which was on clearance + additional 40% off their clearance sale price. The outfits ended up costing me less than $4 each. The Carter's brand is such great quality and has been around since the dinosaur ages. Well.....maybe not thaaaaat long...lol but there's a reason why they have been in business for a long time---great quality material and I find that the clothes last through many washes....and if you have children, laundry become a daily routine...! read more

This store trick customer, to all customers be aware of cash refund. They advertise at their when I buy $100 or more then get $40 redeem. I bought $111 then i got my email with $40 redeem. Few days I come to purchased some more clothes for my kids, the amount $77 and i tell them I have $40 redeem. The employee said i have to buy hundred dollar or more to get that amount. ( I said i did that before therefore i got a redeem in my email) the lady who works there subtract for me few dollars. I said no, she supposed to subtract for me $40 then I paid left amount. She call another lady works there and subtract me few more dollars, and I said no. I thought you guys advertise and email me $40 redeem when I bought $100 and more. She call the manager, I tell her that I bought previous then I got this amount redeemed, she extremely rude manager service I even met. She said the store policy every time we come we have to buy the same amount of money to get that redeem. .......blad ....,blad....,mean that the they want purchaser be back, but not used any ( fund cash or redeem as they advertise in there store, suppy paper, and sent customer email. She didn't not subtract my redeem back. All people buy stuff from here be aware..... they advertise blinded, lie, trick buyer ,shouldn't buy children clothes from here. The manager Valerie is extremely rude and unprofessional. I was bought a few items as a gift three weeks ago but size was unavailable and she recommended to ship it to my place. I was pretty hesitant but she insisted it will be easy. It's been there weeks I have no confirmation of order being mailed or received any package. When I went back to store she was like" call customer service" besides this one line she provided no help and had a very rude tone. That's no way to treat your customer. I requested if she can check may be they made a mistake while ordering to my place but she refused to provide any help. And not to mention she was busy on her personal phone as if I was interrupting her from her private conversation. Definitely not shopping here again. Jessica one of the sale representatives is very rude with the customers , she doesn't have any customer service skills at all. She shouldn't be working here . I had an order online to pick up at this store. And she couldn't find it the order , she treat the customers as we are asking for free items . Good selection, but the employees need a lesson in customer service. No one greets you when you walk in. This is important when you can't distinguish a customer for an employee. I went to exchange a newborn for 3 mth size: EXACT same product still on the hanger with tag. First thing I'm told is I might have to pay more. This is after I had to search for the employee. I have your rewards program, the card I paid with, & maybe an on line receipt. Employee says it's our policy. I will get my manager. Well you policy should be to greet your customer, make them feel welcome and figure out ways to help your customer. And the "manager" that came out to help did nothing to make the situation better. Customer service training needed all the way around. Especially when your customers are pregnant moms- we love to spend money on our babies! read more

Brand new baby store in the Lake Forest shopping complex. Large store, stuffed with baby and children's clothing. Service was very nice and helpful, prices are great, most items were under $15 and the quality is good, the clothes last and wash well. Nice to have close to home I'm sure I'll be back, especially to check out their clearance section, many items around $5. Nice addition to the area. read more

Great store nice employee's except every time I go if it is 10 minutes or less before closing time the front doors are locked. Last time I was in there 5 minutes before closing time the employee told me they closed in 5 minutes which is fine but they turned off the lights in the store knowing I was there as they just spoke to me! I've stopped in a few times since the store opened and I'm very impressed. The store is very spacious and the workers are helpful. They carry Carters and Oshkosh clothing (which now goes up to size 14 for older kids). This has quickly become my go to spot for cute kid clothes. Everything is very reasonably priced and they have a huge clearance selection which currently has a promo of an additional 30% off. read more

Tried to return items I received as a gift. I did not have a receipt so I was fully expecting to get store credit. After my items were wrung up I was told to come back up with my other items when ready as you have to use your credit the same day apparently. I did not have time to go shopping for other items and wanted to get a gift card/store credit to use at a later time. I was told no, it doesn't work that way and I would have to shop right then. I have never heard of this policy at any other place I shop at. I have always been able to get store credit. I don't understand why this is a problem. I mean you are not giving me cash, I would have to use the store credit at your store eventually so why do I have to do it NOW. I don't have time and wanted to come back at a later date. For this reason I will not shop at Carter's in the future. Too bad as I just had a baby and so have most of my friends. I will let them know of my experience and am sure they will not shop their either. read more

I was in the Lake Forest store today and had a very good experience. There were 3 young ladies working and all of them were very helpful and polite. The previous reviews mentioned they encountered rude customer service but my experience today was quite the opposite. The store must have had a staffing change. I recommend trying it his store again. read more

I went there to return some items I purchased online. The cashier was very nice and she's very willing to help. The manager was not nice and not professional. She claimed that the items were washed by comparing different style of one pieces. She claimed that some style was shorter but they are same size. She concluded that certain clothes were washed. The fact is she's not comparing the same style! I told her to bring a same style in the store and compare. She did and it turned out it's the same size. She made the return so hard. And also, when I returned items, I provided the order confirmation I got via email. She said order confirmation which has price of each items and date is not a receipt. She's not willing to return me the items with original price that I paid. She said I need to provide the paper ( packing slip which I lost) receipt in order to receive the credit as the amount of how much I paid. To conclude, the manager was not willing to help.
