What I ordered vs what I received. Ugliest cake! Looks like a 2nd grader baked it. They got NONE of the colors correct. I asked for sprinkles like on the inspiration photos and didnt even get that. They mixed some weird clear sprinkles with the drip which I have no Idea where they got THAT from. It was an embarrassment to have this cake at my daughter's birthday party but it was already too late since I picked up the cake about 30 min before the party even started. H-E-B upped their seafood game at this location. This Sunday their fish monger was carving up a fresh 75 pound yellowfin Tuna. They also had a fresh batch of live gulf blue crabs. I went for the tuna. That is not why I went to this location. I went in for BBQ (they have really good Q). I came out with two thick Tuna steaks. Fish department was sampling the tuna and was providing quick service for those who wanted some. Not cheap at $17 per pound but better than usual price for sashimi grade. Not the closest to my house but close enough to work that I frequent this location pretty often. It has some advantages over other locations with massive wine and beer department, great BBQ prepared daily inside, great meat and seafood and big vegetable and fruit department. read more

I shop at this location at least once a week. All the employees are always kind and accurate. The bakery is the best, no droopy cakes or sloppy decor like I've seen at the others (I make cakes so I know how hard it is!) and the bakery personnel are always fast and polite. My toddlers love looking at the cakes here because they're so cute! They're often sampling good stuff and they aren't stingy with the samples either. I can't tell you how many times I've purchased something because the samples were awesome. The lady who samples the wine is always creative with great fruit to mix it with and really elevates the experience. We have also recently started using the pharmacy and they have been prompt and friendly as well. No problems so far! Of course I'll keep going back. It's a good sized store. Good quality products and less busy than other nice locations I've been to. read more

Why 5 stars? Because there's very little I can think of to complain about here. --- --- --- For nearly the first couple of years after moving to the area, I elected to shop at Kroger because it was closer and it had everything I need. But I recently saw a nutritionist and really changed up my meal plan, and Kroger was not cutting it. I eventually caved and have made this my regular grocery store. Other than the fact that I literally have to drive past my old Kroger on my way here, H-E-B is better in every conceivable way. They have an infinitely larger produce department with all kinds of pre-cut up items, which is really helpful. And for the most part, they just have more of everything. The aesthetics are night and day compared to Kroger, and there are always plenty of check-out lanes open. The only advantage Kroger provides that H-E-B doesn't: fuel points. If H-E-B adds those, it's a wrap. Sorry it took me so long, H-E-B, but I am your latest convert. read more

Absolutely horrible! My wife was misled by the inept bakery department for our son's 15th birthday with a cake that would "feed" 10 people. See the picture of what HEB "says" feeds 10 people based on "calorie" count. The damn thing is so small, it fits in the size of your palm!!! Not to mention that they are charging $20 for this thing! I could have made a better cake and got our son's info to fit on it! HEB has REALLY gone downhill! I've shopped with my family at HEB since I was knee high to a grasshopper, starting out when they were a small, family run business. But this kind of NONSENSE is what's driving customers like myself to shop elsewhere! Absolutely PATHETIC!!! UPDATE: Spoke with a friendly manager named Ashley, who took care of us. However, it still doesn't replace the fact that the bakery employee had HORRIBLE customer service skills, and, the fact that the cake was small enough that the "10 - 12" people it would supposedly feed would each get one bite and that's it. Her mom always insist on paying for her own groceries and when she is leaving, her daughter asked her what did you buy that was so expensive - she said a small pastry The daughter reviewed the receipt and finds that her elderly mother who is way too trusting was charged $65 go a 11" cake that she never bought - she bought a small pastry The manager corrected this, but this is unacceptable at an HEB, a brand we have always had regard for. So watch out and look at each item being charged and your old receipts of yours or your elderly family member This is not right at any time, but during a holiday like thanksgiving - really? read more

If you want to be in BBQ business in TX, you need to pay attention to details. I ordered the LEAN brisket plate for $9. Quarter pound of meat, two tiny sides; slaw and 'tater salad. All was good, but I wouldn't call the meat "lean." Slices were thick, and no sauce was included in take out. Amazingly this place inside an HEB in The Bible Belt sells craft beers IN Growlers! Certainly a sign The End is Near. There's great tap selection with a happy hour. read more

When we moved here a year ago this was our go to HEB but since then it's been from bad to worse. They always forget at least 2-3 items from our curbside order. One time they forgot half our order so they delivered it to us free but that was the only time they "made it right." Last time they left off part of our order it took 6 weeks to get the refund and I had to call over 5 times. I just got home and unpacked the order to realize they didn't give us the ground beef or pork from our order. I called and they were like okay we will just refund you. That's great they will but thay doesn't make up for the fact I have no beef to cook dinner tonight. The guy also said there was no manager available to talk to me. read more

Very nice store nearest to our house, so I do stop in for a few things I can't purchase at my favorite market or they will melt before I get home. This store has a great BBQ restaurant too, although it isn't for HEB. Great bakery, deli, meat and seafood market and aisles and aisles of different things. Prices are comparable to stores in nicer areas like The Woodlands. I do look forward to a new location going in closer than this one, but I will continue to shop here. read more

The HEB in Magnolia is the closest HEB to my home, but my least favorite to shop at. I shop during the middle of the week and find that it is often poorly stocked with things I typically buy. Sometimes it's a common coffee brand, or a common dog food brand, or chicken wings, or a particular cereal, or heavy cream, or various other things. This week is was jalapeños. One particular item we buy are cauliflower pizza crusts due to our low carb lifestyle. Although there is a spot on the shelf labeled for this item, we have never found it in stock at this store. I can go to other HEBs (Cypress, Gleanloch, Spring) or Brookshire Brothers any time and find these items stocked. The pizza crust in particular, I spoke with a manager who told me that they have it ordered but can't get it in. That's odd because all of the other stores I mentioned carry it routinely. I have begun to go to the Cypress HEB every other week and stock up on the items that I often can't find at the closer Magnolia store or often I stop at Brookshire Brothers to get items that weren't stocked at HEB that week. On the positive side, the cashiers are extremely pleasant to deal with. read more

The Bar B Q restruant at this HEB really SUCKS. TO steal customers money they have started using tiny sandwich buns on top of the raised RIP OFF prices. I order a chopped beef sandwich, and it was full of huge wads of FAT. Probably 1/2 the sandwich was uneatable. This is not the first time either! I purchased my sandwich at 11:45 am where I was the ONLY one in line for the entire time it took them to make the sandwich... I can see why its popularity has slowed.. fatty meet on tiny buns.. I like H-E-B but I won't come back to this one. The cashier Kane never makes eye contact and doesn't greet anyone. This is the second time I have been in his lane and he never looks up nor says hello. He gives the total while looking away. In the back they give samples of different wines and things to try. They had an apple pie wine and fireball samples the other day that I though sounds interesting. I got the wine and was told to take a tiny bottle of fireball since I got the wine being advertised. Once I got to the front I put it on the belt as I don't want to take anything without paying. The manager came over because it wouldn't ring up and said he will go check where I got it from. I explained they gave it to me in the back and it might have been free but I wanted to pay if that was not the case so that was the reason for me putting it on the belt with the rest of my groceries. He said "No you can't just have them and you need to pay for it in a 6 or 10 pack." I explained again that I wasn't trying to take them or they wouldn't have been on the belt with the rest of my items and I wanted to pay for them. The people in the back were giving them out as I was purchasing a wine being advertised. He said "No! You can't have these. Sorry!" Their products are crap, their scales unreliable at register, they put their belly on scales, some use their hands or fingers. If that not bad enough their HEB PRODUCTS ARE broken chips, to over sugary, to hide their real taste of bland over salted. New to the area and trying to find the best places to grocery shop. After years of having quick access to a Super Target and a Sprouts, moving to Magnolia is quiet the change. We decided to venture out to H.E.B today and let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed. The store is really large. There is a pharmacy, sections for kitchenware, outdoor necessities, groceries - of course, and a very nice wine selection. Prices were surprisingly competitive, even for organic goods. I was however, disappointed not to see some of our usual organic brands. A plus side, I was able to find our dog's Nutro food there as well. Which saves me time having to find a Petco around or having to ship their food. Really liked the store and will surely go back soon. read more

If you like to go shopping without a mask on or eat in the True Texas BBQ this is the place for you! This HEB don't care about the customers as they allow everyone to just go shopping without mask. Just seen a lady play with her nose then proceed to touch the apples . The 30 minutes I was at this location I seen at least 15 customers without mask on. The Employees were absolutely amazing but didn't say a word to these individuals this is out of this world, Kroger, Walmart, and targets have employees waiting at the door to stop these individuals. Huge store - this is the mega version of HEBs that offers items you don't get at the 'normal' stores: variety of kombucha sodas on tap (bottle your favorite in a large jug to go), beef jerky (some of which will rival your favorites at Buc-ee's... yeah, I said it), larger selection of sushi and the unique offering of an in store BBQ restaurant with a pretty big dining area (complete with beers on tap!). This HEB is like a regular HEB, but turned up a notch. While they offer groceries, pharmacy, and an all-natural department like other HEB's, they also have a BBQ restaurant...and it is DELICIOUS. Everything at the BBQ is made in-house! They apparently even smoke the meats in a meat smoker in the back. I highly recommend the fatty brisket. It has a good smoky flavor and the right amount of fat to make it moist and savory. The lean brisket is a good selection too, if you feel like something less indulgent. The pastry section at this store is also great! I love the scones, and the macarons. One suggestion I'd make to the bakery though- the green tea macarons are good, but don't put sesame seeds on them! The sesame oil overpowers the delicate matcha green tea flavor and ruins the experience. It's really hard to find green tea macarons in the area though, so keep selling them! read more

The pharmacy staff is so helpful! My prescriptions were very expensive on my insurance due to my deductible, but the staff went out of their way to help me find a coupon online and it reduced the price substantially! The pharmacy we used to fill at was slow and had terrible customer service, and HEB is the total opposite. They are extremely fast and friendly, and I recommend the pharmacy to everyone! The store is also one of my favorite places to shop. The employees are all extremely helpful, and our family loves the HEB brand products! The store is always so cleanly, and it seems like the employees truly seem like they want to be there. There is also a BBQ restaurant that is delicious. My only gripe is that the sides seem extremely small for the price, but that is my only complain with the store. Awesome HEB! read more

Who would've thought, a BBQ joint owned by H-E-B at the front of their store. They serve the best brisket in Houston area, San Antonio brisket recipe is obvious with central Texas style and flavor. Mac n cheese and potato salad are freshly made sides worth ordering. Unfortunately the ribs are below average as is the dessert. I came in to the pharmacy at 8:45 and they did not open until 9:00. Three people all standing around for 15 minutes and not a single acknowledgement of the very least that we will be right with you but we have to wait until 9:00. One made eye contact but did nothing. They let me stand there until exactly 9:00 Am. I was dropping off a few prescriptions cause my daughter was having out patient surgery and I wanted to turn in the RX's so I would have them when she is ready to leave. I love this new HEB! I even pass other groceries stores just to come to this one. So much variety and the healthy / natural section is great. The only complaint I have is that many of the "baggers" here need a lesson on bagging. I can't tell you how many times I have to re-bag things when I get to my car because they fill my bags SO HEAVY AND FULL. (I use the reusable bags by the way.) Especially when they see I am pregnant. It's mainly the younger men that do this but I just had a woman put a gallon of milk, slab of ribs, all my cream cheese, butter and other cold things in ONE bag. I couldn't even lift the bag off the counter.... train them please!!! read more

You know you're a mom when you're reviewing a grocery store, but this HEB is the best. I had to write this review though because of the delicious cake that I got for my son's first birthday. I got him a white cake with vanilla icing and it was literally the best cake I've ever had. Better than my wedding cake and baby shower cakes (both came from expensive cake bakeries). I cannot recommend them enough. They did exactly what I asked and it looked great also! As for the rest of the store - the cashiers are always extremely friendly and the store is immaculate! The barbecue is also delicious. The amount of customer with child parking is great and near the front of the store. Everything about this HEB is perfect! Thanks HEB! read more

The past few times we have done curbside pick-up there has been something missing from our order and we've had to drive back up to the store to collect the missing item(s). Tonight we were under a time crunch, and when we called to have the item delivered to us, we were told they could not do it. I live in Old Magnolia, Texas and usually drive in to Tomball or out to 249 and Louetta to go grocery shopping. I am so happy that this nice, clean HEB opened near me. I needed party supplies, meat and cheese for charcuterie. Coby and Shauna helped me gather everything. They let me sample and gave explanations and stories on the cheese and meat.
