We built a house and researched water systems because the water in our area is notoriously bad. The salesperson sold us on the H2o Concepts whole house water filtration system. He had us taste the water. It had a taste, but he said it was calcium and magnesium, which are good for you. I didn't realize the water would be this hard. It is ruining my dishwasher, our kitchen faucet sprayer, and probably the ice-maker in our freezer. I can't stand to drink the water in our house on a regular basis, so still have to buy bottled water. Listen to the reviews. And they don't have a return policy, at all. read more

I have had 2 H2O systems spanning the past 20 years. I've been very pleased with their service and responsiveness, so I don't understand these negative reviews at all. But, then, I wouldn't expect a vendor to quote an installation without seeing where it needs to be installed. How can they possibly know how much effort is required to hook into the water supply or route the backwash outflow? My installation required digging a trench from the garage to the sewer main! Much more expensive than routing to a washing machine drain. The important part of a vendor relationship is post installation. What counts for me is that when I call H2O, they proactively respond in a friendly and professional manner. Twice they have honored their warranty and replaced parts without complaint or cost to me. I have never been accused of causing harm and voiding the warranty. read more

First of all, we love the product and we are not displeased with it in any way. However, they are quick to offer referral bonuses for business you give them but remiss in following through. We personally purchased 3 systems for 3 different homes. I then referred someone else to them whose system was installed over 2 months ago and I have had to chase down the referral bonus. Sherry - in the office - just called after I have now had 6 conversations with the company about this to very sarcastically tell me it would be to me by Friday unless I wanted to DRIVE THERE TO PICK IT UP. Sure, after giving them $20,000 of business I am going to get in a car and drive to pick up a check. REALLY! She was extremely rude and I will never speak to that person again and will rethink referring anyone else. read more

This company should not be in business. I have a massive leak in my kitchen and living room because the entire system was not taken back out of my house. A restoration company is on the way. Beware of the installation and uncovered costs!!! H2O brags about their own installation, it's unfortunate the job was rushed and sloppy. Installer drilled through the block wall in the wrong place and did a subpar job in the patchwork. Company needs to spend some dollars with their installers on customer service, quality workmanship, and protection design on the unit. Beware of the results! Not sure if it was worth the price - Company does meet the documented features and benefits but was expecting a better water rating with the system cost. Granted I purchased the whole house system 948 Combo Clack and a higher water quality will now go through the entire house. I did expect a better TDS rating. My two gallon water pitcher has a better rating, perhaps I needed to procure a more elaborate system which removes total dissolved solids. Total Dissolved Solids, TDS, were slightly reduced with the new system. EPA allows 500 from city water and anything over 250 is considered a health risk. With the amount of money spent on this unit, I expected the results to be less than 250. Hmmm, so now I am still consuming the contaminants but does taste and smell better! Here's some data points, was - pre installation and now - post installation Kitchen faucet: was 403, now 337 Refrigerator which has a filter: was 302, now 218 Zero Water pitcher: was and still is 002 Buyer Beware on Warranty - 4 years on AMP Force and Valve, 10 years on Tank!! Factory Limited Warranty is certainly limited...'date of purchase that failure does not result from abuse....other acts beyond our control.' Living in Southern Arizona, I have concerns about sun exposure to the system since it was installed outside. There is minimum weather protection on tank. The tank is lined with a thin stainless steel sheetmetal. It was buried about six inches into the ground, let's hope the lining can prevent corrosion. There is no weather protection on the programmer box, valves, and system box. This is a major concern as the programmer box and valves are made out of plastic and will have direct sun. The copper piping used for installation was left exposed to the weather and could be seen from the front of the house. I would have expected the copper to be covered. read more

This company touts healthy water throughout your house but please be aware that H2O Concepts treated water leaves hard water spots on all surfaces from faucets to dishes/glassware, milky looking ice cubes and will overall require more daily care while you 'enjoy' drinking 'healthy water'. They truthfully tell you that it is NOT a water softener, be more knowledgeable about what that actually means in your house....you will now have water spots & mineral residue requiring drying or wiping down anything the water touches. I began calling their tech people within 2 weeks of install because of the water spotting & was assured & instructed to do some things that would help which Then they came out to replace the main mechanism (head) in case it might be faulty (it was not faulty). The plumber (Jon) was very good each time he was here. Less than 6 months in my house, $4800 & contacting H2O Concepts office many times with dissatisfaction very early on, they did finally finally make me 'happy' by removing the entire system & installing a high grade water softener & an RO drinking water system at no additional cost to me. A lot of frustration & money initially spent that did not need to happen. Bottom line is to do your homework first & if you buy the system, know that there is NO MONEY BACK OR SATISFACTION GUARANTEE. What I now have in my home would have cost much less had if I had replaced my water softener & RO system with new models in the first place rather than pay at least twice as much for a H2O Concepts 'healthy water system' & go through the aggravation I went through. If you are tired of buying salt for a softener or having to replace RO cartridges, beware of what you are going to realistically have in your home if you switch to H2O Concepts. read more

Wow I'm really surprised at these reviews. I have my system now almost 4 years and I absolutely love it. I love it so much I had it placed in another home of mine. When I go to other peoples houses and drink their filtered water I can tell the difference; with my H2O Concepts system my water tastes like nothing but clean fresh liquid. Yes the up front cost is a little expensive but they offer different plans. I have lived on the East Coast I lived on the west coast and now living here in Arizona for 20 years our water is awful and H2O Concepts makes my water the best I have drank anywhere. When They installed our system (in our new house) they had to modify the wall drain for the washing machine because that was where their system drains while the system is in cleaning mode. The technician left and everything seemed good but the next morning my wife started some laundry and took the kids to school. When she returned, the front of our house was flooded. What happened was that the technician did not put the washing machine drain back when he was done. He just pushed the washing machine back in and left the drain pipe hanging so it filled my house every time it drained. I immediately called them and they sent out a couple of technicians. Are you ready for this?! They blamed the flood on us. I am not kidding! I have the paperwork to prove it. The technician was threatening to my wife and continued to bully her into signing a piece of paper that put the blame on us. It says that WE did not install the washing machine drain properly.! The funny thing is that we have been doing laundry just fine until they day after they worked on it. Go figure. It is a good thing my wife is a strong person. She would not sign his piece of paper. I immediately called their office and they backed up their technician and said that my wife must have misunderstood him. and restated that I had put the drain in wrong. Since H2O concepts would not take responsibility for the flood I insisted that I talk to their insurance company. I also had to hire a company that specialized in floods to rip out the drywall, carpet, insulation, door jams, and baseboards. The insurance company had no choice but to accept my claim but I have been fighting them for two months to pay the bill for demolition and restoration. They are rude, they won't call me back, and they use any delay tactic the can. We are still not able to move back into the front part of our house because construction is not completed because the company I hired to fix their mess had to stop work because the insurance agency would not pay them. This was two months ago! The insurance company has only paid a small portion of the bill and is disputing the rest. This means that as of now that I have to pay for the rest of the construction ( I am looking at thousands of dollars) and we are stuck in limbo. H2O has also made me pay for the water system! That is insulting. They are dishonest and unethical. Save yourself the trouble that I have been through and use someone else. You have been warned. read more

I bought this unit 2 years ago for $5k after being assured it would work. I was told that this system is better than salt. Well.. 2 years ago we bought a bank owned home that required all new plumbing fixtures. 2 years later, replacing again. And AGAIN the system is blinking away.. Probably not working. They say that if anything goes wrong, they will come out and fix at no charge. There's another lie. This system would probably work fine if your on city water, but the I'm not. They should have never sold us the unit. Tuesday we are getting a salt water system installed. Wish I would have talked to my neighbors first. Shame on this company!! I ordered H2O Concepts water system in Sept 2014. First, I met with the salesperson Karen. She came with the typical overview of product and their certifications. I already did my homework so i knew i wanted to give it a try. I was given most discounts that were promised online. I had to remind Karen I also received a factory discount. I wont have gotten it otherwise. H2O System was installed 2 days later on a Thursday and Tom the installer was very good. He gave me the literature and i signed a few papers. I was told that it would take a few hours for salt to clear the pipes. I still had a salty taste so i called Friday for them to return. I called the home office and the person was very nice but told me no one was available until Monday. I called early Friday afternoon and no one could help me !! I just paid over $4000 and no one could help me ??? I had to go all weekend into Monday afternoon with salt water. I called my salesperson Karen for help on Friday and she said call the office and that she wasnt techie. She was not willing to call people in my behalf to help me out and never returned any of my followup calls. A hands off salesperson once she has you sign on dotted line. Very unprofessional. I called and left a message at home office if i didnt get a service call to remedy my issue on monday I would cancel my order since i had 72 business hour protection to do so. A techie Ken came Monday afternoon who was very polite and flushed the system rebooted it and tested every sink for salt or bad chemicals. It all checked out. Both techies Tom and Ken as well as home office receptionist were very professional and helpful. As for the salesperson Karen. Very unprofessional and only out for a signed contract with absolutely NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT DESIRE. Its a family owned business clearly lacking sales professionals that care to get involved when the customer who just ordered a system needs help. Karen was a hands off sales person that never called me back. Her professional integrity is questionable. She really made my experience with H2O Concepts a poor one. All she had to do is get involved and follow up with me. Neither was done. read more

If I could give them 7 or 8 stars I would, I have had their system for about 9 months and am loving it. The city came and changed our water meter this caused a leak under my seek it appeared to be coming from H2O consepts water system. They came out and fixed it in a very timely manner, and left, they did not charge me. Since it was no longer dripping I could get under there really well and take a look it. I discovered that it was my dishwashers hose that had been leaking and they still fixed it!! Thank you H20 concepts for going above and beyond!!! read more

As a realtor I see a lot of homes and different water systems. I held an open house for a client and filled up my Yeti with ice and water from their refrigerator. Once my ice melted I could tell the difference as there was no residue in the water. (I live in the same neighborhood with no system). My clients sold their home and purchased another for their new home. They swore by it. So, after some nudging to my husband, we set the appointment and were able to have our system installed in just a few days. My husband said he could tell the difference immediately. A few weeks later I went to my daughters and filled up from her refrigerator water. WOW, I sure could tell what we're missing and I like it! We are super happy with the system. read more

Ok, I got the system for the house two years ago (2017). The only issue I got is the owners manual does not really show everything regarding the resetting of the system for regeneration. It shows how to setup the time, which is ok, but not the regeneration, like if I want the system to regenerate twice a week for example or on an specific date and time. I did called the shop and they email some handwritten instructions which I will be trying today, but really, it will be a lot easier, and more convenient if the instructions were in the manual, it could avoid a trip from a technician to the house just to reset the system. That is about the only thing that I can mention. The service and installation at the time of purchase was great. read more

My wife and I were sold on their claims of "bottle quality water from every faucet." Not only is the taste nowhere near "bottle quality" but there is no noticeable difference in the hardness of the water. I knew that my question about a return period if we weren't satisfied was met with "no, because we have the certifications to prove it" I should have walked. It's been 2.5 years and we are actively shopping for a replacement system. H2O Concepts is a complete, costly scam. It's only claim is that it removes "contaminates" and makes water taste better. It doesn't condition the water to protect appliances or your health. The stone and blockage causing calcium is still in the water, not to mention the build up that appears on your hardware. Your ice maker, washer and dishwasher are also at risk. After 7-10 years, it costs almost $2000 to replace the worn out works, this is in the fine print of the owner's manual. Read the reviews before you buy into this system. read more

Following installation of the equipment, and within a week, the plumbing began to leak. I am a RN at a medical hospital and so needed H2O Concepts to come to my home to repair the leaking pipe after my scheduled work hours. The company stated it would be one week as they do not perform service after business hours. After learning this, I told them I would contact a plumber to correct the leaking plumbing, before any water damage occurred to my floor, and send H2O Concepts the invoice. I took photos and forwarded them to the company with the plumber's invoice, and their manager, Cheri, said they would not pay the invoice. By the way, my plumber corrected the water leak in less than 10 minutes. So please be informed that H2O Concepts has a poor record of installation and customer service record. WARNING:DON'T DO BUSINESS W/H2O My grandparents scheduled an in-home meeting with H2O Concepts, wherein one of their reps would come to our home to provide system details/pricing info. My grandparents intended to gather info from several different companies, then utilize the info to compare differences and purported benefits of each. My grandparents (in their late 70s and 80s) asked me to sit in on the meeting and take notes so they could review/compare before making a decision. Karen, the H2O Concepts' salesperson arrived at our home at 10am. We sat down in the dining room; the 3 of them at the dining room table and me at the adjacent counter, w/my laptop open and plugged in - to take notes via: typing in a Google Notes doc for speed/efficiency. Karen began to explain 1) the purifying process used by H2O (unsafe minerals removed by "amp force" - a combo of high frequency/low amp voltage), 2) the pricing structure and 3) the warranty plan. About 10 min into Karen's pitch, I asked her to clarify a detail. At that point, she asked: "Are u typing everything we are saying?" I replied: "No, not everything, just the important details about the system and purifying process." Karen responded: "Ok." I confirmed that what I was doing (taking notes) was ok with her, asking: "Is that alright with u?" I immediately followed with an explanation as to why I was taking notes, which she expressed her understanding of. Karen proceeded to convey her verbal approval of said note-taking, stating: "Yes, that is fine with me." As a courtesy, I offered to provide Karen a copy of my notes, to which she declined, stating: "No, that's not necessary." A few min later, Karen asked: "I'm sorry, am I talking too fast for u to take notes?" I thanked Karen for her concern and replied: "No, I can type fast." Karen then continued with her sales pitch. At about 11am, I had to leave the dining room to tend to my two small children who had been watching cartoons in the adjoining room. I then had to take my son to the bedroom to change his diaper. While I was in the bedroom, my grandmother appeared and told me that there was now a problem with my note-taking. Confused, I made my way back to the dining room, in an effort to determine the abrupt "problem." As I walked down the hallway, I could hear a new female voice talking over speakerphone on a cellphone. When I turned the corner, I was shocked to find Karen no longer sitting in her seat at the dining room table. Instead, Karen was standing by the counter (where my laptop was) with her cellphone in one hand and her other hand ON MY LAPTOP, HOLDING DOWN THE BACKSPACE BUTTON in my Google Notes doc. It was then that I discovered Karen was in the midst of a speakerphone cellphone convo with an unidentified female voice who then began to scream: "Tell them that we are bringing legal action against them!" I was literally in shock, considering that this all unfolded in the 3 min that it took me to take my son for a diaper change. Unable to speak, I slid my laptop out from under Karen's hand, closed the lid and began to walk to my bedroom. Karen then began to scream so loud (I presume, to the female speakerphone voice): "She took the laptop! I didn't get to delete all of it! She's running away with it! What should I do?!" And let it be noted that I was in no way "running" anywhere. I calmly took back possession of MY PERSONAL PROPERTY without uttering a single word and proceeded to WALK away NORMALLY, as I have 2 small, impressionable children who were now 100% focused on the wild situation rapidly unfolding/escalating due to Karen's extremely loud screaming and completely unwarranted behavior in MY home and IN FRONT OF MY BABIES! I placed my laptop on my bed and proceeded back down the hallway, in an intended effort to remove my children from the presence of Karen and her continued screaming. My mother, now aware of the unfolding situation, began down the hallway too. When my mother reached the dining room, she confronted Karen, asking: "Why would you touch other people's property?" When Karen and the speakerphone voice began to scream at my mother, my mother instructed Karen to exit our home. The whole situation was UTTERLY ABSURD and UNPROFESSIONAL. Karen was informed (and approved) of my note-taking. Karen was offered (and declined) a copy. My notes contained info already public, searchable and discoverable thru Google or company website. It wasn't like she was describing some "secret sauce" that would have been considered confidential. Bcuz of Karen's shocking display of immaturity and lack of professional decency/composure, H2O lost a $7K sale. Karen's grossly unprofessional behavior, coupled with her display of mental instability, shocked and frightened my family. Honestly, I'm scared for future, potential H2O clients who might have the unfortunate pleasure of interacting with Karen. I will be contacting BBB, H2O Corporate, etc!! read more

We have had this system for almost 8 years now and I am amazed at some of these reviews. They couldn't have been more professional totally walking us thru the process from start to finish. We did have the rough in loop already in so that made it easy to install. However, they do it all to get the system going. We couldn't be more pleased with the whole house water system, no more buying water bottles, no more water softener and no more buying salt pellets, no more buying RO filters, no more RO tank under the sink, and no more refrigerator water filters, only 1 slim tank in the garage all self sufficient and lasts 10 years and then you get a new filter put in. NO clean up, no residue of water deposits. Love being able to fill my water bottle at any sink in the house. Better skin and scalp, not feeling that very bad salt on your skin. And good for your houseplants too. Couldn't be more pleased. read more

I wanted to get rid of salt system and R/O system, so I researched several alternative systems and met with two companies. The H2O Concepts salesman seemed to have more information to back up their claims, and I decided to purchase their most expensive system. The installer was very nice but installed the cheaper system, and I had to produce all the paperwork to prove what I had paid for (well over $4000). I then had to wait several more days to have the wrong system removed and the correct system installed. After that, I noticed heavy black carbon deposits in my tub and sinks, in drinking water, etc., so I called them. They backflushed the system and said it should "clear up" in a day or two. It did not, and I had to call back and insist that they replace the second system, which they finally agreed to do. It seemed to work okay after that, but the water was not conditioned by it and left spots on my dishes, countertops and bathroom fixtures. I began to notice a nasty rotten egg smell coming out of my cold water faucets, so I called and scheduled a technician visit. The technician did not come during the four-hour window (8 - noon) that was scheduled, and did not even call me until nearly an hour after 12 noon. By that time I was at an appoihtment and could not go back home, so he told me I just had to reschedule. Not even an apology for failing to call or show up; when I called the office to reschedule, they made no accommodation for the fact that I work and can't sit home M-F for four hours at a time. They didn't want to come out after five p.m. or on Saturdays. Only after I got a little hot under the collar and insisted did they accommodate my schedule and apologize for my inconvenience. I am not impressed with either the system performance or the poor customer service attitude of this company. If I had it to do over again, I would definitely chose another vendor, especially given what their system costs. read more
