We REALLY wanted to like this place, after trying 3 or 4 others in the area since we moved here 8 months ago, and not finding anything decent yet. My friend's Pork Fried Rice was extremely salty. I told her not to eat it and gave her my eggroll. My General Tsao chicken was like some that I've had at a Chinese buffet, after its been sitting out several hours. Good flavor but chewy, some pieces impossible to chew. I asked the server on our way out what did she recommend that was fresh and good? She said "Everything fresh , you order it, we cook it right away". No doubt. After it's been sitting in the fridge a week. Guess we'll keep looking. I have gotten take out 3 times from here since it reopened under the new name. The food, in my opinion, has improved. I thought this before I knew it changed hands. My favorite is the Honey Walnut Shrimp. I've come here many times for to go orders and generally they are okay, but have left items out numerous times. Tonight was something else--I made an online order and put in my credit card information waited 30 minutes and came to pick-up. When I got here the lady at the front said my order just came in (even though I have an email from 30 minutes ago saying they received my order). She then took my card to charge it even though I paid online... said she didn't get the money... okay?.... Then while signing the receipt she says I need to leave a tip since they are slow--WHAT! Who says that!? Also I WAS going to tip before she said that, what in the world! BEWARE! Not one server was wearing a mask in this restaurant. I find this behavior completely irresponsible in this pandemic crisis. I can only and reasonably assume that the kitchen staff wasn't either. Also our waiter was busque and directive in nature in areas that were not called for. I was anxiously waiting for the turnover to Ha Long Bay. We ordered takeout, 2 kinds of pho and duck. Ordered using their web-based system. Seems to be popular now. The vendors sell the system and add a"convenience fee" to the CUSTOMER. If anything it's more convenient for the restaurant. Next time I'll call. It took longer than I thought to get the order, but when it was ready, I took it home and we all enjoyed the meals. Delicious food. Duck done to perfection, with rice. The pho was done well; vegetarian and beef. It isn't cheap, but it's worth it. The interior is bright and they put in processed wood floors/tile. Demographics made me feel like a little kid. Most people there could have been my grandparents. The lighting is too white, they need warm lighting for better atmoshpere. All in all very good and I'd go again. read more

Okay so here's the story and why I have this place 1 star, so basically I wanted to make an order online for my family and I, and first, there was an error on the website. So then I just called to make sure they got my order and it said it didn't go through. Next, I try it again on the website, and this time it said something like "Thank you for your purchase", so I called the place AGAIN and they said that they didn't get my order, and that THEY DONT DO DELIVERY WHEN IT LITERALLY SAID "WE DO DELIVERY" ON THEIR WEBSITE! So, some of my family members went to order the food over there, and, remember, they close at 9:30 and they got their at 9, and they KICKED THEM OUT, and said that they "didn't" get our order! Went to Ha Long Bay, formerly known as Ivory Bistro, and it was outstanding! I have gone many times to the St. Pete location and have always been very happy with the dim sum. The new location in Dunedin is just as good, clean, and service is friendly and inviting. We ordered the Peking Duck, so crispy and not oily. The dim sum is fresh and hot. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Not only did I call twice to figure out the problems with their website and got hung up on both times, when we went to get the food after we ordered and got the confirmation order they said they didn't get it and kicked us out saying they were closed even though they didn't close for another 45 minutes. When we asked for a refund they said they didn't charge the card and shoved us out of their restaurant. CHECK YOUR BILL! Our party of five ordered four different meals: General Tso's Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and Chicken with String Beans (in black bean sauce). We all enjoyed the soups: Won-ton, Hot and Sour, Egg Drop. They were served at the perfect eating temperature and came with crispy noodles and duck sauce. When our main dishes came, they were delicious; the vegetables were crispy, but not raw or barely-steamed as we have found at other places, and the garlic was not the dominant flavor. The egg rolls were crispy and hot and yummy. The issue came with our bill; a 20% tip had been added already, and when the merchant copy was presented to be signed, there was a line for the tip--not labeled as an additional tip. The bottom of that bill copy had the amounts to tip for varying percentages and did not show the original charges broken up (just the total with tax and tip added). It looked as if an additional tip was expected. Please understand: the food is not the issue--it was delicious. The problem was being tricked into paying the tip twice unless the original bill was inspected carefully. This Restaurant is very good ! My husband & I both liked it and we are very picky . We have dined in and they are very clean and take every possible safety against Covid . You are required to wear a mask and they seat you far away from other diners . They only allow a certain amount I believe its 50% capacity . The food is delicious !! We were craving Vietnamese food and decided to try Ha Long Bay. Although their menu is mostly Chinese they have a nice selection of Vietnamese food as well. All three of us ordered Pho Tai and it was excellent. The thinly sliced portions of beef were generous. The restaurant is attractive with a colorful aquarium by the entrance. read more

Possibly the worst Chinese food we have ever had. Started OK with egg rolls and steamed pot stickers, then went rapidly downhill. The cashew chicken consisted of blanched squash, chicken and assorted other vegetables, no sauce and a handful of cashews, flavorless and not like any other cashew chicken I have ever had. The wait staff isn't very friendly or warm to their guest and a lady that served our party was rather rude and insulting to a member in our group.
