Best Cuban food in the Keys, hands down! If you're over the endless seafood spots and craving something different, this place is a must. From the moment you arrive, the staff makes you feel welcome, and the ocean view while you eat is just the cherry on top. The food? Absolutely incredible. It's comforting, flavorful, and tastes freshly made with care. I was honestly speechless after the first few bites. They do have seafood too, and from what I saw, it looked just as amazing. Portions are generous, so expect to leave with leftovers, and the prices are super reasonable for what you get. Don't skip the cortadito at the end, it's the perfect finish to an unforgettable meal. I'll definitely be coming back!

I had never heard of Uruguay steak before so I decided to give it a try. I was so glad I did. My dinner was amazing. The whole group I was with loved their food. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend for some good eats and drinks.

Hog Fish dinner with a dab of mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables

Stoped here on a Tuesday evening. Noticed the 4 Florida State Trooper cars parked in the lot so we thought they must have good food. We were right. I had the hog fish dinner with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. My wife had their Mai-Mahi sandwich with fries. Both our dinners were mainly average. The hog fish was sorta flavorful but dry. The dab of mashed potatoes were good and my wife's Mahi-Mahi sandwich was dry but did have good flavor. The restaurant was busy with all the tables full but a quick turnover. All in all we'd stop here again.

Another meal on the Florida keys, another Cuban restaurant to try out for lunch... Located on a marina in Islamorada with some ocean view, from the outside this restaurant is more upscale compared to the other Cuban joints we've tried, however the interior resembled a breakfast cafeteria at a typical 2 star hotel. Service was pretty slow and disorganized given only 2-3 tables were occupied while we were there. We ordered the Palomilla steak and the fried crack conch basket. I'm not a big fan of the briny flavor of the conch and the batter was pretty thick and not crunchy. While I enjoyed the mustardy sauce that came with the steak, the steak itself was pretty under-seasoned and bland. The after lunch cortadito was good, but I wish they had something better than the styrofoam cup. Another note: although the menu states they charge 18% gratuity for party of 6 or more, they automatically charged the 18% tip for our party of two anyways. If you are looking specifically for Cuban food, there are definitely other better spots.

This is the third Cuban spot that we've tried on our Keys trip. Located at a marina, this is the fanciest looking (not by much) of the spots and the least tasty in our opinion. Plenty of parking spots in their lot. Again, they automatically add a 18% tip on your bill (we had 2 people) so that's a bit obnoxious in my opinion. We found out on the check. The service was on the unfriendly and infrequent side so that's another minus. We got a fried conch basket and a skirt steak. The conch tasted frozen and the breading was soft and a bit terrible. I do better breading on my fried foods at home any day of the week. The steak was a bit under seasoned and bland. The dishes had above average quantity but below average quality compared to the hole in the wall Cuban spots on the other islands.

The restaurant was clean, open and welcoming. We were greeted right away and told we could seat ourselves. The tables were positioned around the windows so most had a view. We sat down and our server took our drink order. She was very friendly and attentive. She brought out our sodas and we ordered calamari, lobster bisque, a breaded beefsteak and a steak with onions. The food was delicious. The thin steaks were cooked very well and were tasty. DH ordered "Moro" as his side with yuca. Moro is rice and beans cooked together so the bean flavor is infused with the rice. I ordered "Tostones" - fried plantains and white rice with black beans. All of the food was awesome. I had to add salt to the steak but they were tender and juicy! They give you large portions and the prices are extremely reasonable! We took the food home that we couldn't eat and ordered 2 "flan" (custard) to eat at home! I wish we had come here at the beginning of our vacation! We'll be back before we leave though! There are several dishes that we'd like to try! Come in and enjoy your meal!!

Always like to try new places. There is a bar as you walk in, and the restaurant is in the back. Our waitress was attentive and nice. Food was served 10 minutes after ordering. The sandwich was ok, good amount of cheese on it. The onion rings are beer battered and not greasy. The best part was the rice and black beans. Nice view of the marina and overall ok experience.

Skirt steak with rice & beans and tostones (fried green plantain) yummy!

Walking up to this place at 2110 it looked empty then I realized it has a bar area in the front and the restaurant seating area is in back and it was packed. Service from our waitress was ok. The other male server was great. When you see people of the same culture as the food that restaurant is serving in that restaurant, that's a good sign. When you see lots of them, that's a great sign. Like if you walk into a Chinese restaurant and see no Chinese people.. you might want to reconsider your choice. I had the skirted steak. It was absolutely delish. Well seasoned. Tender. Cooked to a perfect medium. Rice and beans were yum! Tostones was fried to a crisp golden. The sauce that came with it compliments it well. Highly recommend this. Entrees come with a choice of two sides. They have several to choose from. I loved the rice and beans. My son has the shredded pork. He didn't really care for it bc of the vinegar-citrus flavor it had, but I liked it. He loved the fries and onion rings that he ordered with it. Pepper steak was good too. That was ordered with rice and fried yuca. If I ever come travel this way again I will definitely put this place on my must go to place for eating. I have never had Cuban food before and it was a to do item on my list for this trip to Florida. Glad I came here for my first experience!

Great food. Love this place. Amazing views and great quality. Worth the drive from anywhere in the keys. Menu is the best value too.

We then moved upstairs and grabbed seats at the bar. We ordered the peel and eat shrimp, calamari, and conch fritters. Everything was perfect and came out quickly despite the whole place buzzing. After two more mojitos, we moved to our table upstairs on the balcony. The views were amazing, and the live music on the beach made the whole experience even better. My wife ordered her go-to yellowtail "Lazy Way," which is a must. I had the stuffed whole yellowtail. Everything was excellent, and the portions were abundant. Oh, and did I mention the bread basket, complete with a mini loaf of banana bread! If you haven't been here yet, you need to add it to your list!

Everything had either too much mayonnaise or too much sauce or was overcooked. It was like they're too worried about the quality of the ingredients or the food to let it stand on its own. This could also be as a result of the cooking of the region. It would've been great to have something light and fresh. I did order a Caesar salad salad, and the dressing tasted like somebody edited ranch dressing. There was no anchovy flavor. The servers are nice, the prices aren't bad, and there is plenty of parking if you don't go on the weekend. The view is nice as well. Other than that, I really don't know if I would eat here again.

Our friend Bubba highly recommended it, saying "square grouper slaps." If you know him, you know that is extremely high praise. Let me tell you, square grouper does indeed slap. We were seated on the patio, facing the marina. We got to watch a magical sunset as we literally stuffed ourselves stupid with a variety of insanely yummo seafood. We got the coconut shrimp, portobello fries, scallops, and the tile fish, all per the amazing Ari's recommendations. Did I take any pictures NO I was enjoying a wonderful evening with my yummy man. They were all absolute wins. I've never had coconut shrimp before, and these were absolutely delightful- tender and tropical, which is not a flavor I thought I would enjoy but was happy at that uno reverse. The portobello fries were crisp and juicy?? And meaty from the mushroom?? Idk man a bitch was into it I ate them all. My scallops were divine- they came with this pork belly and sweet potato hash and just pleasured every tastebud with every bite. His tile fish was good, it was crispy and gorg. He ate the whole thing so fast, while commenting in between bites how much he was enjoying it. We also got the key lime pie (mine) and the brownie (his). It was literally my favorite key lime pie of the whole trip, it was so good. We couldn't finish the desserts and took them home, I'm really excited to have them as the best midnight snack of my life. Amazing Ari- you are a gem. Her service was unmatched. She was so happy, informative, and attentive. Her recommendations did not miss. She took phenomenal pictures for us in front of the water that I can one day show our kids and say "look how hot mom and dad were before you guys!" She needs a 200% raise. Thank you for making our last night here so wonderful!
