A friend introduced me to Beach Hut Deli a few months ago and I liked the sandwiches we tried so much I looked up the closest BHD to me a few weeks ago and tried a few more sandwiches. The service was great and I love the decor. I ordered my sandwiches to go, but I could see myself watching a game at the chill beach-themed bar. I loved the turkey sandwich and the pastrami sandwich and the Caprese sandwich was tasty too but since it doesn't have as many ingredients as the others, it didn't stand out as much. This location shares a private parking lot with a ton of other businesses but there's plenty of parking. I love sandwiches. I believe they are one of my favorite foods. Beach Hut Deli makes the kind of sandwiches I want. We ordered online for pickup. It was easy and only took me a minute. I ordered a surfin' bird wish is turkey, avocado, cream cheese, bacon, and all the veggies. We shared a regular sandwich which was enough for both of us to walk away full. I showed up early to pick up my sandwich. I was greeted when walking in the door to a cute beach scene and friendly employees. Service was good. Ambiance is fine. The food is fresh. The $2 pint (you first pour each day for month of October 2025) of Loomis Basin's Alohawk, great. Everything great stops there. I cannot accept paying $47 for two 6" sandwiches (no extra meat or toppings), two bags of chips, no other drinks besides the $2 beer. Feeding two adults on $47 for sandwiches that are predominantly large/thick bread, not nutritious iceberg lettuce, and cream cheese, with just 3 oz low grade cold cuts isn't justifiable. This chain needs to dial it back on greed. At 4:00-5:00 on a weekday, there weren't many people dining or doing take out. Same overpriced experience as delivered at Five Guys Burgers. Haven't been there in probably 5 years and Sunrise location is always empty. Similar here at BHD. Not returning. read more

We have been to this location several times. Workers are friendly and the restaurant is clean. Our go to sandwich is the Santa Cruz sandwich, our sandwich was packed with pastrami, bacon, cheese, and condiments mayo, mustard, pickles, lettuce, avocado, peperoncini peppers and a good slice of cream cheese. My husband and I split the regular or large size sandwich depending on how hungry we are. They have a large selection of Dirty brand chips, we like the Funky Fusion and Mesquite BBQ. I loooovvvvveee to bring my friends and family to Beach Hut because you can get a sandwich and beer and have a nice relaxing time. The people working are always friendly and accommodating. Grace and Heaven are the best! Not only is this the best beachhut when it comes to fast service, but Grace makes the best Marley nachos. We explained our situation to the cashier and mentioned it was our first visit. We ordered a sandwich with everything except mayo and sesame seeds (my son is allergic) We added a drink, paid, and even left a tip. After nearly 30 minutes of waiting with no order called, I asked a staff member at the food station about the status. They couldn't find our order and eventually said someone else must have taken it. This was very frustrating, as we just wanted a quick bite before our appointment. I asked for a refund, which they gave--but only for the sandwich, not the tip. Therefore i request a refund for the tip too, since the service was not acceptable. I had to apologize to my kids for not being able to get them something to eat before heading into urgent care. They understood, but we left very disappointed. The overall environment felt disorganized and overly casual. I dnt think they feel bad at all what happened. I don't recommend this place. Good stuff just inside the doors of BHD! It's been so long and I forgot how delicious the Malibu sandwich is. It's not as packed with meat as some of the other options but still great. Chill vibe inside, almost kinda like a bar feeling in this location the way it's set up. They even have a self serve kiosk in the center where you can order what the staff described as, "CBD". Hmmm Polite and quick service. Kinda pricey but it's a decent quality and I usually feel a good value. Tonight is was over $17 for the regular size sandwich, chips and tip. I have been going to beach hut delis for over 27 years. They have become a huge disappointment. Once when eating in they brought a burnt skinny dipper to my table and yesterday I picked up and took home. For a while they have cut back on meat just like everyone else but this is why to much. Where do I start... don't go here! Terrible customer service. They could not possible show less caring about their interactions with customers or there job. I picked up an order for my daughter and I and paid the $50 charge for 2 sandwiches which also included a dip French dip. The young lady that put the order together did not put the lid on the French dip. It proceeded to go all over the sandwiches and all into the bag. I am a frequent consumer of beach hut, and tonight at like 8 I went over to get a sandwich. I was in my car and the place was clearly closed and that's totally fine, however the worker (with light pink/ rose blonde hair) rushed over to the door, locked it, and gave me the nastiest look. I was a closing manager at the Michael's over here for a long time so I totally understand it can be frustrating when people come after close, but she did NOT have to give the extra attitude. I'm not sure if she thought I wasn't looking or what, but it was extremely rude. As someone who lives over here and buys from this business a lot its upsetting. Which I know is comfort food. Disappointing. 17 dollars with tax for a 9 inch Santa Cruz. What I received and what are advertised are pictured below. I was starving so half of the sandwich is missing from my photo, but you'll get the idea. I've eaten at the BHD in Midtown for years and their sandwiches are busting at the seams. You know where your money goes. This location just makes normal sized sandwiches, and I give it two starts because they followed a good recipe. Always great service. The ladies that work here are always very nice and friendly to me, my husband and our daughter. They go above and beyond to make us comfortable. Love dropping by BHD now and then, not sure why I don't more often! The employees are always nice and well trained. My niece works at a couple other locations, so I guess I might be a little biased - but the employees here were great at this location too! The menu is super creative - I generally bounce all over the place and try something new. Tonight we're having the Hawaiian Salad - pulled pork, pineapple, bacon, pepper jack and other goodies - sounds great, eh? I admit my brain froze up a bit when I was asked what kind of dressing I wanted. I didn't think that far yet! It was such a unique salad, I wasn't sure what would work best. I decided on Spicy Ranch. It worked! One nit I feel the need to mention... it's a pet peeve of mine admittedly, because I tend to eat late due to my schedule. I'll call it "early shutdown syndrome." This was not the worse case I've seen (by far) but still... I walked in at 7:20 pm. They close at 8 pm. Chairs were already up on almost all of the tables. I actually noticed this before I opened the door and did a double-take to look at the hours of operation sign. I thought about going somewhere else, but decided to go in. I get it - you want to do a good job cleaning, the end of the day is closing in... maybe it's slow, and you're not sure if anyone else will come in... From a customer point of view, this is not a welcoming vibe though. It doesn't matter if the staff verbally greets me from behind the counter (she did)... it just feels weird to power on in and order anyway. It's not just me - four customer "orders" came in after me while I was there... three couples and an individual... 7 people in total... someone in each group made some sort of reaction to the chairs up along the lines "are you closed?" or "what time do you close?" - so just a suggestion to stick to near-closing-time activities that are more discrete. Especially coming in to get a sandwich and a drink when Audrey and Morgan are working they are completely over the top with customer service and sandwich making skills!
