Slow Saturday morning but not at Good Stuff. It was packed and a wait. Totally worth the wait. Bloody Mary's arrived, when they ask if you want them spicy, you better like spice! Our waitress was adorable and seemed to enjoy her job. How could you not, being across from the beach on a beautiful day. I had the World Cup Wrap (without eggs), spicy chorizo, potatoes and cheese. Currently, Good Stuff Restaurant has four locations in the South Bay: this busy flagship location at the Hermosa Beach Pier, El Segundo, Redondo Beach, and Palos Verdes. There is a sign stating that they now grill with coconut oil. [Parking]: The restaurant is located near a free public parking structure, but the entire lot was packed on Saturday at noon. I ended up driving around the local streets and got really lucky & found an available spot near the intersection of Pier Ave and Manhattan Ave. [Wait list]: Visitors can join the waitlist in advance via the website. Upon arrival, visitors must check in at the front counter. It took about 25 minutes from the time I joined the waitlist until I was seated. Once I was seated, I waited another 15 minutes before placing my order. There is a complimentary water and coffee station available for guests waiting outside. [Amenity]: There is a note on the menu asking guests to limit the visit to 1.5 hours for booth seating in order to seat everyone in a timely manner. We've come here many times when coming down for a 4-6 mile walk on the Strand and came by again Sunday and ate indoors as it was pretty windy. We each ordered different pancake meals and just love the pancakes there and highly recommend them for breakfast or lunch. Gabi is an excellent server with a great sense of humor. Our food came pretty quickly and she came by a couple times during our meal to see if all was good and if she could bring anything more. This restaurant seating inside very comfy and outside has a beautiful view of the beach, ocean, volleyball players and just people strolling up and down the Strand and to the pier. read more

There are 4 Good Stuff locations around the South Bay, but this is definitely the busiest end closest to the water. It is literally right off of the beach, there are no buildings west of it. Obviously that is a huge selling point so given that the lines here can get quite long and parking can be a bit of a hassle. We were lucky enough to find a spot in the self pay lot a block away otherwise your best bet will be metered street parking. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table for two for a Saturday brunch, but it was worth it. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. One thing I like about this place is their menu is the same at all of their locations but they have rotating specials. For this visit, I chose the Chorizo Chilaquiles and honestly loved them. It was perfectly spicy and the eggs were done just how I like it and the whole dish was just great. I added avocado which I would highly recommend. Definitely would be a great place to stop in for a lively brunch, this chain is always consistently good. read more

I got the Chicken Chile Verde Platter and we shared the French Toast. Chicken Chile Verde Platter - Honestly, not great. The quality of the chicken reminded me of a frozen dinner. The sauce was good, but the chicken was just not good. It was a super simple dish with black beans, Spanish rice, and tortillas. However, they really messed up with the cut and quality of the chicken. French Toast - It was just eh. No cinnamon or anything special. For the price, I would have wanted more French toast. The best part of this place is the beach front view. It's so fun people watching. The coffee was strong and good! I think I went too basic and I need to try other options because the menu was creative and looked good. Sadly, there was nothing that stood out or spectacular about the breakfast. The cinnamon roll I thought was made in house but it didn't taste as fresh or " homemade" it was kinda day old pastry tasting and the frosting was pure powdered sugar paste that was so overwhelming and thick. Hash browns are just bagged and browned. MY personal preference is not the stringy store bought hit ones at a restaurant, which for the price of adding I thought they'd be better. Staff was friendly, fast service and it was enjoyable overall. With a $20 tip, ended up spending $90 bucks. read more

The menu is really well thought out and if has something for everyone. I usually get Cris's Breakfast Salad. It might sound a bit weird but once you've tried it - you will definitely be back. Again. It was our last day in Cali and we met up with family for brunch. A smaller group of 9 total. We originally wanted to brunch at Martha's in Hermosa Beach which is a fave spot when we're in town. Unfortunately, brunch time is super busy and Martha's had a 1 hour wait. My sister-in-law mentioned Good Stuff Restaurant as another option and they only had a 30 minute wait for our group of 9 people. So we shifted over there and waited patiently. We met them there and put our name on the list. They had an abundance of seating indoors and outdoors. Very spacious and great location next to Hermosa Beach and the boardwalk. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting an hour until they were able to seat us. They sat us inside and we didn't get to sit together either. We put the kids at one table and we sat at the other table with the baby. Our server Tadeo was nice and took good care of the kids table too. My in-laws ordered guava mimosas and my husband and I opted for just coffee. We are done drinking. Haha. I ordered the "Good Stuff Style" Huevos Rancheros. It was just ok. It had good ingredients and I liked that it was a bit healthier with the shredded cabbage but this dish lacked flavor and it didn't look anything like the website photo. I also didn't get any avocados. I asked for hot sauce and it was fine, but hot sauce shouldn't mask the flavor of food. Husband got Teriyaki Steak Breakfast Bowl but as soon as we saw the plate, you could tell the steak was dry and overcooked. He said it was meh. Aside from the cool ambiance and great location, Good Stuff wasn't worth it. And definitely not worth waiting an hour. My husband also paid for brunch since it was his sister's family and the bill was a whopping $225 for 4 adults and 4 kids. The baby doesn't count. Granted there were a few mimosas flowing. Even so, it was pricey for everything. Sorry Good Stuff but it wasn't that good. With a name like that, you'd think they would uphold the name! read more

Such a cute restaurant by the beach!! It was so relaxing and the service was amazing I ordered the teriyaki steak breakfast bowl and it was so delicious. I was hungry so I wanted something filling but I didn't want breakfast. The teriyaki sauce is a bit on the sweeter side but I enjoyed it. The pineapples were a great addition and the steak was not overly cooked. I love how they give you a choice of toast or muffins. I usually never see muffins being an option so definitely had to choose that one. The blueberry muffins were super soft and moist, even more delicious when you add the butter!! The cinnamon roll at first glance looked a little disappointing and I wasn't expecting to like it or taste any cinnamon but wow was I pleasantly surprised! Tiny breakfast spot on the strand, parking is tough but there is a lot nearby where you can pay. It's usually pretty packed so come before you're starving! Service is quick and our coffee mugs never went empty. The salsa was pretty mild and we asked the waiter if they had anything spicier, he brought us the habanero from the kitchen staff which was delish! It's waterfront and the prices are pretty good despite the awesome views. It's just beachy! read more
