Their selection of salads and bowls are great, and the outdoor seating is perfect for a warm sunny day. My friend and I stumbled across this place while out for a walk, and we were not disappointed! I ordered the Brunch bowl, consisting of brown rice, pesto, spinach, sweet potatoes, avocado, and egg. It was absolutely delightful! My friend got the Tahini bowl, which had brown rice, chickpeas, pickled cauliflower, cucumber, sweet potatoes, pickled carrots, spinach, and tahini. She also loved it! Darnit, I wanted to really like this place, but I was underwhelmed at best. The shop is cute and I liked the artisanal goodies they sell, plus all the items in the ready cold cases. I ordered a Tahini Chickpea Warm Grain Bowl, Brownie, and iced tea. The brownie was pretty good. Sadly, the tahini sauce on the grain bowl was totally flavorless. So bummed, as I LOOOOVE a good tahini sauce, and order it pretty much whenever I see it when I'm dining out. The rest of the bowl was okay, but honestly, with that watered down tasting sauce it was just sad overall. Probably wont return, as that was the best option on the warm items menu. This place has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Petaluma. From my grain bowl to salads to their brownies- it's all good and makes healthy taste delicious ! My go to is their brunch bowl and would love to learn how to make some of these myself as I like them so so much. I stand behind what Lunchette represents and believe their prices reflect the quality and sustainability of your meal. The people working there are always on top of service and nice. I had stumbled across this restaurants name a few years ago when doing a search on Petaluma restaurants and always wanted to try them but unfortunately they only seemed to be open when I was working during the week. And unfortunately, to get from the East side of town by the hospital to the restaurants location and back would eat up my entire lunch time if not more! So I gave up on it. Well today was the day that I finally got to try them. Did I go in? Nope, as I was working (as usual). I was getting ready to place a lunch order via Door Dash for another restaurant that I had already thought about buying from this morning and there it was, their little restaurant name was glaring at me. So I clicked on it and everything looked and sounded so good until I saw the kimchi warm grain bowl. Now for those needing gluten free and/or are vegan this dish is for you as well as various other dishes that they offer. I am neither, I just happen to love kimchi (and what Korean doesn't, right?) plus the other ingredients (broccoli-miso salad, carrot salad, house-made kimchi, nori, soy glaze, roasted mushrooms with organic brown rice) just sounded like Heaven in a bowl! Now mind you, the prices listed on their website menu is different than Door Dash as DD ups the prices (listed as $11.45 but DD charged $13.25) so none of this "the restaurants prices are too high" because when you're using a delivery app, you are not getting the restaurant prices. Well some will charge the restaurants prices but not always. But I was ok with this because I really needed lunch (could not leave work and my power was out this morning so I couldn't get the ingredients that were in my fridge) plus I really wanted to try Lunchette!! If you aren't familiar with farrow, it's a kind of chewy and not sticky grain--just slightly similar to steel cut oats. It's a great addition to the salad and doesn't taste like much except perhaps a very faint nutty flavor Really appreciated the goat cheese bits, there was just enough for you to taste it intermittently and never overpower the salad. He wants pizza almost all the time and I've been on the constant hunt for delicious and healthy options (because I've barely moved during quarantine). We have a fantastic takeout experience at Lunchette. Placed our orders at 1:15pm on a Monday on their website and it was ready basically immediately (according to the site, but we got there maybe 15mins later). Note that you'll want to order earlier for your pick of the pizzas! The margherita was sold out already. What we had: 1) Tahini grain bowl with added crispy bacon: SO SO GOOD. I loved the combination of all the elements and the sauce was the perfect amount and not overwhelming. I am a grain bowl fanatic and this fit the bill. 2) Pepperoni slice: Solid! 3) Mushroom slice: Solid as well! Husband loved both slices, but says ordering 3 would've been a better portion size. $3 and $4 for the slices were a little steep for the sizes. They have a range of other salad and grain bowls. Super disappointed to get home w/ rancid protein balls last week but the lentil soup was great. This week got home w/ lentil soup that was super salty and unpalatable. Faire is pricey and my stops here are a treat so will think twice before another visit. Re the ambiance, I love browsing their high priced artisanal offerings but was perturbed by the entitled young man blocking the entryway rather than moving a few feet closer to the party he was chatting w/ so patrons could enter. Went here for a quick lunch because of all the great reviews, and I was happy to say that it lived up to the hype! Got a Farro Salad and I thought it was such a smart combo of tastes and textures. The tartness of the mustard vinaigrette, pickled red onion and goat cheese went well with the crunch of the apple and candied almonds.
