I was really looking forward to trying this chain, as I've heard a lot of great things. For context, I love burgers, eat them often, and have tried most of the big and small names (with the exception of In-N-Out, which I'll finally be trying in March). I ordered a double char combo with fries and a drink, keeping all the toppings as they come. I always do this on a first visit to establish a baseline. The first red flag was how quickly the food came out--within seconds. If a burger is being cooked fresh, it simply can't be ready in under a minute. That's not the case at places like Shake Shack or Five Guys, where you actually wait for the burger to be cooked. This felt more in line with what you'd expect at a traditional fast-food chain like Burger King. Flavor-wise, the burger reminded me a lot of a Double Whopper with cheese, as both have that charred profile. Unfortunately, the Whopper is actually more flavorful--and bigger. The fries were completely average and forgettable. I ended up leaving half the burger and half the fries, which anyone who knows me will tell you is almost unheard of. Will I give it another shot? No chance. The food at Shake Shack is vastly superior, and surprisingly, the combo there is cheaper by over a dollar. The Habit combo came in just under $17, while the same combo at Shake Shack is under $16. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The overall experience was also bland and cold. There's no real interaction--you order on a screen, the food appears, and you grab it from the counter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Even Shake Shack and Five Guys, despite being partially automated, still feel like there are actual people preparing your food. Bottom line: if you're considering Habit Burger, you're better off going to your nearest Shake Shack. And if it's that charred flavor you're after, you'd honestly be better served at Burger King. read more

Burger was less than a quarter of an inch thick, and burnt!!! McDonald's double cheeseburger is a better burger for half the price too!!

I finally tried this place today after putting it off for quite some time. I did the drive thru and it was a little slow even though it was just me, but that may have a lot to do with the quality...but before I get to the food quality, I had to pay and I will say for single char burger with cheese, an onion ring and a drink it clocked in just under $16...which explained why there was no one in line in front of or in back of me...but I get it, quality costs more...and 2026 is expensive for EVERYTHING!!! Ok, so about that food. The burger was 9/10-near perfect...in fact I have nothing really to say other than it was almost as good of a burger as I've had-and def the best one I have had at a drive thru! The onion rings were very crispy and excellent! I guess price is my biggest concern...but I like to have lunch at close to $10 whenever possible. Maybe next time I will try the fries and go without the cheese to see the final price... Def will go again! read more

I went to the Habit around 3 on a Sunday and tried to go inside to order but the doors were locked. It said it was open but did not see anyone inside. Then I proceeded to go to the drive thru where someone said there will be someone to help shortly, but no one came for 10 minutes and then me along with many others in line decided to leave. I feel bad for giving them a bad review but if there's issues going on within the store you should notify customers and not let them wait in the drive through wondering if the place is even open. Hopefully I can try going again and have a better experience. read more

Below average for the price. I got a char burger. It was cold and the bun was stale. My daughter got their chicken bites. They were like 85% breading and hard as a rock. Fries were mid and also room temp. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because the food was ready quickly, but considering my burger and the fries were cold, that's probably because the food is not made to order and is sitting for a while. read more

Kind of amazed that this place is in our area- loved trying it on a trip to California and then was excited to see we had one nearby in Wilmington. It's great having an impossible burger option that is cooked right & not elaborately ruined (like a lot of restaurants that try to do to much with it). Recently moved to the neighborhood, 5 mins away from home. It's very clean and staff is so friendly. Love their Santa Barbara Burger as well as the sweet potato fries! Sea Salt Caramel milkshake is SO good but not heavy. Definitely will come back! read more

The food is generally good but the service is atrocious. They screw up my order literally every other visit. And we're not talking some intense difficult directions. Just no cheese on a burger. My only deduction is because this place is fairly expensive for what it is - one single and one double cheeseburger meal costs a tad over $30. My son and I got back from California two months ago. While we were there we tried many burger places, "The Habit" was hands down our favorite! When we returned home to NH, we was excited to see there was a location an hour away. We were both excited for the amazing burger we had while we were in CA. NOT EVEN CLOSE! The person taking our order couldn't focus and asked us to repeat our order several times, then when I saw the receipt it was still incorrect. When we received the order it was wrong and needed to be re-made. Once we received the correct order we were disappointed with how burnt both our burgers tasted and the fact that they were paper thin burger patties. The ones in CA were thick and juicy. That being said, I want this place to succeed, but given the order I just received, this is a place I hesitate to order from again. What I ordered: VEGI Buger with cheese - ~$12 - 3/5 Nothing to rave about, but for the price and quality, maybe not my main menu choice next time. Sweet Potato Fries - $4 - 1/5 Sad state of affairs. Imagine the crumbs at the end of a chip bag. That is what I felt that I got. The top layer shows the main fries and the bottom pieces the size of my thumb. Other - 1/5 1 Napkin and received no ketchup when "Extra Ketchup" was requested. I can change this star rating upon satisfaction of solving my problem with this restaurant. But I do not expect a response anytime soon. One of my major concerns is that they try to take a Tip from you without saying anything or asking you first..the Tip Machine is stuck in my face. I thought is was for my food..thank goodness that my card wasn't working...I asked is this machine broke or is my card broke he then explained that this was for a Tip...I said not thanks I will just try another card and just pay for my Food..thank you.. This place is good when everything is done correctly. I've had an issue with my drive through orders twice now. There is no reason why I should be driving home and seeing that either an item is missing from my order or that the food is old. I ordered a burger today and it looked like it had been sitting on the warmer for 30 minutes before it was served to me. I couldn't even eat it. Really disappointed because I know how good it tastes when it's fresh or at least close to fresh. Consistently great! I've visited this spot about a half a dozen times now over the last 6 months and every time it is the same level of meeting my expectations. Great fries, delicious ranch, pretty good burger. Patties are small get the double. Lady was a little rude to my husband - he asked about the patty size and she wasn't very helpful so he asked if it was like five guys size and she said I don't now I dont eat at five guys kinda nastily but nothing too bad. Other employees were nice. The only other thing was we sat near the door and they sprayed a bunch of cleaner on the glass and it was super strong while we were eating.
