It was as if they took some tiny chicken nuggets then deep fried them four times and then tossed them with 1/8 teaspoon of sweet&sour sauce and called it a day. The nuggets were so dry I had to make some sauce myself out of some leftover honey-BBQ sauce at home. And the worst thing is, since Asian Express mainly styles itself as a 'take-out' business, you won't find out how awful your food is until after you get it home (usually miles away!) I love Gen Tsao's Chicken and have had the dish dozens of times at many different restaurants -- and this may have been the worst ever. The shrimp-fried rice was bland as well. It was like their kitchen has no spices! Lastly, the egg roll was crispy but -- you guessed it --also bland. If you expect some FLAVOR in your Chinese food you should never, ever eat here...you will regret it! A waste of money. In fact, even though its local competitor, Best Wok, was bad the last time I visited, it was still slightly better than Asian Express. (Best Wok *used* to be very good, by the way). I wonder what's happening to these places? Do you have to cook at home for a good meal these days? Oh, well...take my advice and avoid this place. Good luck!

While the buffet doesn't have a huge variety, everything we tried was delicious -- especially the chicken on a stick, which was my favorite. The staff was friendly and attentive, and I really appreciated the little touches -- they brought out fortune cookies and melon candies at the end of our meal, and even slipped us a few extra candies to take home. For just $10.95 per adult at lunchtime, you really can't beat the value. Overall, I'd give New China a solid 8/10 and will definitely be coming back!

My family got refills on their drinks, but my drink came in a smaller glass and I didn't get a refill. We all got soda, so I'm not sure why. The restaurant is pleasant, but we were seated directly in front of the window unit air conditioner so we had to decide which one of us would be the most uncomfortable while eating. The bill was over $100. After discussing it, we all felt that we would have felt better about the entire thing if the food had been more fairly represented and priced. If you go, don't order the tuna.

The women's restroom wasn't in the best condition during our visit, and there was a restroom cleaning log posted on the door that appeared to have last been filled out in March. Whether it was simply overlooked or not, it doesn't create the best impression for customers. Overall, I'd rate the experience 3 out of 5 stars. The food was decent, especially the mac and cheese, but the service and attention to detail kept it from being a place I'd go out of my way to visit again. I've had better BBQ experiences elsewhere.
